I love drinks... Non-alcoholic personally, as I don't drink alcohol. I don't mind those posted in this thread though.
My favorite drink in the world is Sambazon Acai Juice, the Normal one with the purple label, not any double flavor kinds like blueberry acai. It almost has a slightly creamy texture to it, and is ridiculously good. Plus supporting acai supports sustainable farming in rainforest regions. So the product you are buying is helping the world with Sambazon.

A couple more of my favorite drinks I made myself but I'm sure others have done similar. They are smoothie blends :)
One Smoothie:
2 Peaches
Hemp Protein powder
Honey flavor, greek yogurt (zoi brand) or Brown cow maple
Almond Milk/Coconut Milk
Another Smoothie:
Lots of Frozen Strawberries
Honey flavor, greek yogurt(Zoi Brand)
Almond Milk
1 Banana
Almond Extract
Love both of those smoothies. I drink my breakfast normally...
What are the best drinks in the world to you? I'm curious to try some I haven't heard of before..

hi there, the best juice in the world is organic fruits direct to my juicer. I normally combine fruits but the best base juice is pineapple, the best combination is pineapple/mango followed by pineapple/pomelo; pineapple/passion fruit. I just finish my pineapple/wild mangosteen. O wow o wow... meaning its somewhat orgasmic when you drink such juices. Once you tried it there will be no doubt in your mind that organic fruit to juicer juice is the best juice in the planet.

Love Honey, ZOI. I eat a quart a week. ccc.
You ever make Yogurt Cheese?
Quart of Yogurt, in a dish towel, wrap the end of towel with a rope or string, tie the loose end to stick or sompthin, and hang the yogurt in a Gallon, GLASS jar, and stick it in the frig for a couple of days, untill all the water drains out. Put the dry Yogurt, back into it's orignal container and keep in frig.
Smear liberally on 100% whole wheat baggels. (warm or cold) just as good. mmmmmmm!!! ccc.
And Honey ZOI, is my fav for makin Yogurt Cheese.
Plain works well also, if you wanna add flavorings to your cheese. Just make sure you add flavorings before hanging, (drying)

I mostly drink water. I drive out to my dad's house in the country once a week to fill up my 5 gallon water jugs with his well water which is free of any kind of city water induced contaminants and fluoride. Whenever I drink city water I feel like I'm drinking dead water,

Mmmm, fresh fruit smoothies are divine. I love 'em all but I add lots of garden stuff in there, too, for mine at home. I call it my kitchen sink smoothie. Blueberries, strawberries, banana, apple, avocado, kale, carrots, celery, mint, coconut oil, flax seed, sorghum, peanut butter. Will occasionally put other yard greens ("weeds") or fruits in there. Probably sounds disgusting but I'm addicted and one smoothie keeps me full most of the day!
Love the water lovers. Like sloppyjoe, I am OCD about my water and can't drink city water anymore. I live in the burbs but collect all our family's drinking water off our greenhouse and filter it with a Berkey. I drink about a gallon a day and this is my favorite drink in the world.
Have to admit I do love an ice cold beer, especially home brews.

Your own distilled golden water: your urine (lots and lots on info and its own thread here on PA).
Took me a while to get through to friends and family about drinking the dead stuff that comes from the tap.Stores round here got caught selling it in bottles and labelling it spring/mineral.When you have been off tap water a while and someone tries to pass you it by mistake you can taste the after taste of chemicals in it.Never done veg juicing much but going to get into it more.

My son gifted me a "nutribullet" blender and the results difference between a standard blender to the nutribullet was suprising. The nutribullet has very large blades with a tall cup receiver (smaller than a pitcher) and blends to a creamy professional smoothie consistency. Maybe its the oxygen in there that now catalyzes my new favorite way to drink smoothies. Favorite yoghurt is Zoi too!! Whether its fruits, veges, nuts or whatever i like to add fresh baby fava pods from my garden for natures shot of levadopa to boost dopamine levels. :p

After 40+ years of 8-10 cups of coffee a day, I ditched it eight months ago. Now it’s organic teas from “Choice” such as Twig Kukicha, Ginger, and Rooibos.
After drinking distilled water for over a year, my gut said, “It’s time to move on.” So I filter my artesian well water with the “Berkey system (“http://www.berkeyfilters.com")" and add "Willard Water" (http://yhst-34846767927333.stores.yahoo.net/willard-water-clear.html) to insure a healthy alkaline pH. Willards also “aides in nutrient assimilation, removing toxins from the body, and serves as a free radical scavenger, and a concentration of the 19 trace minerals.”
(My thanks to Paul, :cow:, for the Willard Water tip.)
10 Health Benefits Of Rooibos Tea
1. Caffeine free – The rooibos plant grows naturally without any caffeine. This is important, as it means it does not need to undergo a chemical process to remove the caffeine. It also means that anyone can drink it, including those who do not want to drink caffeine such as children & pregnant women. The other key benefit of no caffeine is that rooibos tea can be consumed in unrestricted amounts. Some South African’s will consume 5-6 cups per day.
2. Contains powerful antioxidants – Rooibos tea contains a wide array of antioxidants, which help to protect the body in a number of ways. Two polyphenol antioxidants called aspalathin and nothofagin are found in high concentrations in rooibos tea. These antioxidants protect the body by fighting free radicals. These are unstable cells, which attack healthy cells in order to stabilize themselves. The polyphenols also have anti-inflammatory properties and can safeguard against heart disease.
3. Prevents against some cancers – Some studies have demonstrated a link between consumption of rooibos tea and a reduction of cancer-causing chemicals. This is because of the high level of dominant antioxidants, some of which have anti-mutagenic (anti-cancer) properties. This means that they defend cells & DNA against damage and inhibit them from developing into cancer.
4. High mineral content – One of the key health benefits of rooibos tea is that it contains several minerals that are vital to health. These include: magnesium (essential for the nervous system), calcium & manganese (essential for strong teeth and bones), zinc (important for metabolism) and iron (critical for helping blood & muscles distribute oxygen).
5. Improves circulation – One of the many potent antioxidants in rooibos tea is called Chysoeriol. It can improve circulation by preventing the activity of the enzyme that triggers cardiovascular disease. Drinking rooibos tea also has been known to lower blood pressure and cholesterol.
6. Relieves stomach complaints – As rooibos tea contains high levels of flavonoids, especially one called quercetin. It has the ability to relieve numerous abdominal ailments such as cramps, diahorrea and indigestion. Flavonoids are known help to reduce spasm, inflammation and allergies. It has also been widely stated that the health benefits of rooibos tea extend to alleviating colic in babies. s it is totally caffeine free, it is perfectly safe for them to drink rooibos tea.
7. Aids absorption of iron – Unlike most black teas, which prevent the body from absorbing iron effectively because of the tannins they contain, rooibos tea supports the body in absorbing iron. Rooibos tea contains less than half the tannins of black tea.
8. Can relieve skin conditions – A recent found that rooibos tea can help you to look more beautiful! Rooibos tea contains phenylpyretic acid, which can help to improve acne, psoriasis and eczema. You can apply a freshly brewed and cooled tea bag to the affected areas and it will soothe and heal any inflammation.
9. Can protect against Parkinsons/Alzheimers disease – Drinking rooibos tea regularly can protect against a process known as lipid peridoxation. This occurs when free radicals damage brain cells and nerve tissue. If this is prolonged, it can lead eventually to progressive and deteriorating brain disease, such as Alzheimer’s.
10. Encourages restful sleep – Rooibos is unique in that it can be consumed as often as you wish and at any time of day. Many people choose to drink it before bedtime as it can help with insomnia. Due to its high mineral content and lack of caffeine, it’s known to help people to feel calm and relaxed.

Yes! Years ago, a sister had a company deliver those big jugs of pure bottled H20. When I drank it, I’d get the same reactions as if I were in a moldy cellar, such as, impaired breathing, and itch tingles under the skin. It also tasted moldy.

Have you ever heard of "tiger nuts"? They are typical in the area I live in, and with them you can make "horchata". This drink is delicious now in summer.
“Horchata de chufas”: Refreshing tigernut milk
http://lh4.ggpht.com/_I546vGeniy4/TFEv-puwZhI/AAAAAAAABa0/FN_7YywYYsg/IMG_1395bis_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800
The things I love most about summer are 1) the variety of fantastic summer fruits available and 2) to make ice-cold juices, ice or milkshakes, lassis or any other refreshing juice! One of such juices is cool tigernut milk, to my preference lightly flavoured with a hint of lemon rind and cinnamon! Sometimes slightly frozen to make a half-sherbet, half-drink! Either way fantastic!
Tigernuts are a tubers, like potatoes, that in Spain are grown only in Valencia. When developed, the plants over the ground are burnt (quite spectacular, in fact) to make the harvest easier. Then, they are washed, dried and selected to remove damaged specimens…and ready to use!
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_I546vGeniy4/TFEwALWF6xI/AAAAAAAABa8/IrbClGP5wCg/IMG_1429_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800
So, “horchata de chufas”, actually written “orxata de xufes” (in Valencia) is the traditional summer drink in Valencia. Horchata really means the milky extract from any vegetable source, such as hazelnuts, almonds, barley, rice or in this case tigernuts. In fact in the past, in Valencia it was commonly made with rice, as it was cheaper than tigernuts! If made not overly sweet (which you often find) it really quenches your thirst. Sweeter it still makes a tasty (and really nutritious & digestive) snack! I really like it’s flavour, but like with everything, not everyone does…so you’ll have to try! It is often found elsewhere in Spain bottled by commercial brands, but like with most things, why buy it ready made, when the “artisan” home-made touch can be so much better, and furthermore, it’s so simple to make, assuming you can get hold of the principal ingredient: tigernuts!
Have you ever tried the tuber itself? To me it tastes fairly different to the milk made by blending them with water to extract all their flavour! I’ve read that tigernuts from other areas other than Valencia aren’t half as sweet and flavourful. But I haven’t tested for myself, as the only ones I’ve encountered are the national ones. But these, I assure you, are like candy. They are super sweet and have a very particular taste and texture. No wonder you need to add up so little sugar to the extracted milk!
http://lh4.ggpht.com/_I546vGeniy4/TFEwCSddDYI/AAAAAAAABbE/UbjEIrOYnX0/IMG_1344_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800
Anyway, if you can get hold of tigernuts, I suggest you try to make this simple recipe to quench your thirst in these hot summer days! If the tigernuts are not from Spain, you may need to add extra sugar, in any case, adjust sweetness to your taste. Also, to me the touch of lemon rind and cinnamon improves the drink, but you may prefer the pure thing like Linguini who when he tastes the slightest hint of cinnamon says it tastes like bun! Lastly, try half-freezing it as if it were a granita, I think it’s even better! In valencia the sherbet-one is served with a straw that ends in a spoon, so you can either drink it or scoop it. Up to you…but try!!!!
Horchata de chufas (Tigernut milk)
(To make 1L)
250g tigernuts
1L water
~100g sugar (or up to 150g)
(optional: a small piece of lemon rind)
(optional: a small piece of cinnamon bark)
extra water to hydrate the tigernuts
Few ingredients. Simple & tasty recipe! Ideally hydrate the tigernuts overnight or up to two days, by covering them generously in cold water and keeping them in the fridge (otherwise they may ferment). If they are really dry and they need two days, change the water each day.
They will swell up a bit…
http://lh4.ggpht.com/_I546vGeniy4/TFEwFwQHhOI/AAAAAAAABbU/fAnrdoVufQI/IMG_1345_thumb2.jpg?imgmax=800
Then, place the tigernuts with the sugar, the lemon & cinnamon if you choose to use them, and with about half the water and blend into a smooth liquidy paste, add the rest of the water gradually, unless it won’t fit the blender. In that case, it’s best to blend the tigernuts with half of the water, strain and place the left-over pulp into the blender again with the rest of the water to extract as much as possible.
http://lh5.ggpht.com/_I546vGeniy4/TFEwNlTR65I/AAAAAAAABbc/HBFGIYz-qrQ/Imagen1_thumb1.png?imgmax=800
I used to strain it through a fine mesh strainer or chinois, it hadn’t occurred to me a better way to do this, until a lady from Valencia in the market “L’Olivar” in Palma de Mallorca in the stand of dried nuts (I bought some tigernuts) told me that there was no better way to strain them than using a panty sock! And it’s try, you can press easily to extract all the milk and just leave behind the flavourless powdered nuts!
http://lh4.ggpht.com/_I546vGeniy4/TFEwPPQSV0I/AAAAAAAABbk/qrUPDmSUsi8/IMG_1354_thumb1.jpg?imgmax=800
You can just pour it all in, and just press out all the juice!
http://lh4.ggpht.com/_I546vGeniy4/TFEwQAga0nI/AAAAAAAABbs/69Mt3lAPhX4/IMG_1367_thumb1.jpg?imgmax=800
Leave in the fridge to cool, or even freeze slightly and use a blender to smooth it up…
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_I546vGeniy4/TFEwSt_7qtI/AAAAAAAABb0/Xu2O-SEL4_o/IMG_1390bis_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800
Just a note to say that it is common to leave the blended mix without straining overnight (again) to mature it. I think it’s unnecessary if the tigernuts have been well hydrated, in my opinion the result isn’t improved, but if you choose to do so, be sure to minimise the amount of lemon rind or cinnamon as those flavours do infuse in the mix and get much more enhanced!
So, however you choose to make it, freshen up with some ice-cold horchata! And if you can get hold of some traditional fartons (long finger-wide leavened buns) warm them up and soak them in your cold horchata! D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!!!! I’ve still got to work on making them myself, but I hope to eventually get there! In the meanwhile, on it’s own it’s still well worth it!
