WOW IS RIGHT!!! I AM SO FRIGIN ANGREEEEE over this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You wanna know whats wrong with this world???????????? Excellent example... right here!!!
It was very plain to see what these two guys and the girl were doing, and yet all they recieved were a few coins, for this man.
WHY??? WHY couldn't they dig a little deepr, and caugh up with bit more of their hard earned for him.
I felt so sad for him as he looked a bit depressed over so small an offering also.
I was in california and made a wrong turn, and the only place for me to get my "big truck" turned around, was through a large shoping center. There were a young man and woman sitting on a curb right in front, and I had to stop to let pedestrians go by. I motioned to them and the girl came to my truck. I handed her a twenty. Huge tears rolled down her face and I got all warm and fuzzy. She ran to show him, and big tears rolled down his face also. It ripped my heart open. This was some seriously in need folks. I jumped out of my truck and went to them, to give them the rest of the hundred bucks I had in my pocket that day. As I pulled away, others were beginning to hand them handfulls of cash, and I felt really good for a very long time.

Yes, and it is by example that we teach other to feel empathy. I loved the video. Thanks.

That's nice. I wonder would they have done it without recording it, and getting credits for the video?

I was feeling a bit jaded when that popped into my mind as well. I don't deny that it was a kind act but I perceived the discomfort on the homeless mans face as being embarrassed. Was it not a tad presumptuous to jump into this mans space and start playing music and then give him the money in quite a demonstrative way. Would it not have worked just as well to distribute the money they earned as street musicians to those in need discreetly without possibly embarrassing and humiliating this man by making their charitable act a video production. Remember this is being recorded at the same time. If I was the homeless person I would really feel embarrassed.
To take the cynicism a step further what if the homeless guy is really the bands manager/promoter.I mean the bucket was very convenient.Seriously though what I thought when watching was, is that the only real human contact he has had today. As for being embarrassed I didn't get that, he looked to be enjoying it if a touch bewildered.8)

It was street theatre at its best, and conveyed a message to us without preaching at us. Was it staged? Maybe. Does it mater? Not really.
