MEANWHILE, BE READY FOR THE SWITCH TO CHIP CARDS IN OCTOBER 2015

The United States is switching to chip cards in October 2015.

The new standard is called EMV, and credit cards will soon have embedded microchips that will change how you take payments from your customers.

I was recently in California and couldn't believe they didn't already have them. My step son said the US is about 10 years behind Canada in the financial systems sector. Apparently most of the businesses do not want to pay for the chip technology.
