They must have resurrected Newsweek's print edition just for the purpose of giving Kurt Eichenwald his very own, dedicated SHILL platform for his May 2014 article on how conspiracy theories are destroying America.
Eichenwald was interviewed about his Newsweek article about Conspiracy Theories on C-SPAN Saturday. Perhaps C-SPAN's way of seeking redemption for (or cancelling out) the previous day's interview of the eloquent Richard Gage (Architects & Engineers for 911 Truth), or as they call it, "balanced reporting".
C-SPAN must have realized their mistake in allowing Gage to be interviewed when people calling in expressed shock and gratitude over the fact that C-SPAN had the balls to invite Gage in for an interview in the first place.
The following day, Eichenwald wasted no time dismissing 911 truthers and others.
Eichenwald was a strange choice for Newsweek's article or it was a strange article for Eichenwald to write, considering he had been a top investigative journalist for the NY Times (so would understand that some conspiracies really are true), editor at Vanity Fair and bestselling author of several expose' books (including The Informant, that ended up becoming the film of the same name and Conspiracy of Fools on the Enron pillage), until he tried rescuing a male teen from the internet sex trade, wrote about it and it backfired on him, costing him his career and reputation.
Maybe he his article exposed too much, maybe his research wasn't innocent, maybe he was blackmailed at some point and shilling his way out of his own legal troubles. Anyway, I'd intended to just blast the interview until I started looking into Eichenwald...seriously strange story on this guy and it all just reeks so much, I had to add his background, too.
Here's Eichenwald's interview on C-SPAN (which may incite a violent toss of any laptops):
