It is mutating, at an alarming rate, but.. some as recently as two weeks ago have said no .. Have they been mis-informed or was there something else afoot?

Predictions About The Ebola Outbreak (Source (http://www.popsci.com/article/science/four-predictions-about-ebola-outbreak))
* “Ebola is not airborne, and it’s extremely unlikely that it will mutate to be airborne,” Morse says. Although it’s theoretically possible, it’s incredibly rare for a pathogen to change its route of transmission.
(simply mis-informed? - couple studies from bioweapons type of organizations, now are showing it IS airborne (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?69697-Haemorrhagic-fever-Ebola-outbreaks-have-been-reported-accident-natural-or-bio-weapon&p=868660&viewfull=1#post868660) and the means used to contain it, are not adequate, nor are the means to shield health care workers (who are dying at an alarming rate) )

The Ebola virus is one of the nastiest germs known to humanity, in its lethality and in the horrible way it kills, but we should not regard it as an invincible superbug. Its biology and genetics are well known after almost 40 years of scientific study, and about 40 previous outbreaks in central Africa have been stopped. While the present epidemic is the largest and most complex on record – and, lest we forget, by far the most devastating in its effect on affected communities – it too can be beaten through a combination of infection control, contact tracing and local solidarity. Yes, a supply of safe and effective medicines would help enormously, and with sufficient political will we should have one in time for the next Ebola epidemic, but it is not the key to victory." DATA - IT IS MUTATING at an unbelievable rate
Reuters India 4PM EST reporting - Gene studies of Ebola in Sierra Leone show (http://in.reuters.com/article/2014/08/28/health-ebola-genome-idINKBN0GS2FV20140828) virus is mutating fast ! )
"Genetic studies of some of the earliest Ebola cases in Sierra Leone reveal more than 300 genetic changes in the virus as it leapt from person to person, changes that could blunt the effectiveness of diagnostic tests and experimental treatments now in development, researchers said on Thursday.
"We found the virus is doing what viruses do. It's mutating," said Pardis Sabeti of Harvard University and the Broad Institute, who led the massive study of samples from 78 people in Sierra Leone, all of whose infections could be traced to a faith healer whose claims of a cure attracted Ebola patients from Guinea, where the virus first took hold.
"The findings, published in Science, suggest the virus is mutating quickly and in ways that could affect current diagnostics and future vaccines and treatments, such as GlaxoSmithKline's Ebola vaccine, which was just fast-tracked to begin clinical trials, or the antibody drug ZMapp, being developed by California biotech Mapp Biopharmaceutical."
Somebody not providing all the data? - (simply mis-informed?) (Source (http://www.examiner.com/article/us-government-mincing-words-to-avoid-widespread-panic-over-ebola-outbreak))
"Stephan Monroe of CDC’s National Center for Emerging & Zoonotic Infectious Diseases said that Ebola “Ebola poses little risk to the U.S. general population,” told reporters in a conference call. It’s because you have to be in direct contact with someone who is ill to become infected and that transmission is through direct contact with the bodily fluids of an infected person.” He also stated that, “Individuals who are not symptomatic are not contagious."
Hindu Business Line -" thankfully ebola has not mutated..." (simply mis-informed?) "While these three viruses have emanated from infected animals, ebola has mercifully not mutated to become an airborne disease. Ebola spreads through body fluids, which means that general circumspection can go a long way in containing its spread. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has been confident enough to say that restrictions on air travel are not warranted. "
It goes on, the amount of reports and articles that can be found prior to August 20th, that it's not mutating, never had, nothing to see here.. spin, damage control or what?
