Is Your Data Truly Safe?

Last night as I was perusing my Facebook feed, there was an article through the Drudge Report which caught my eye. By now, I'm certain that some of the members here have already heard about it - and some that will take notice through this thread.

In an apparent iCloud hack/leak, numerous high profile celebrity personal and private photos were distributed through a sub-forum on 4Chan and Reddit.

As I predicted, these celebrities took to Twitter to proclaim their condemnation of their personal photos being leaked through the vastness of the web.

What I feel should have happened is that these celebrities and their PR agents should have used their status and spun this into a larger debate about the security and privacy of these services we consume almost on a daily basis - instead it is only backlash.

What are your thoughts on this topic my fellow Avalonians?

One way I look at it is the PTB want the populous to feel that it is normal/ par for the course that data (think banking) is not TRULY SAFE. So.... when a major false flag occurs people will not turn their anger towards the PTB but against, perhaps, mythical hacker from Russia or China for example.

There has been an indoctrination going on that wants us to believe that the safely of data is inherently flawed...but necessary, none the less. (yeah....right)

I believe if it stored as 1's and 0's anywhere where there is a connection then it is not safe at all.

If you don't want your nude photos to end up on the internet, simply do not take any. That is my take...

As for privacy, it is an illusion on this planet IMHO. Simple as that...

Yep! The safest data in what is backed up, heavily encrypted, and not connected to the internet/ Wi-Fi etc. I am by far not an expert but even I know these other places were far from safe.

The moment you agree to use THEIR systems and THEIR programs it becomes THEIR property and under THEIR control.... no matter what you think or they imply.

If people don't like it get a pencil and paper or a typewriter

and WHY do people see the need to take pictures of their body parts in different states of repair only to send the pics via a PUBLIC system to SOMEONE ELSE'S STORAGE SYSTEM ...... keep it on your own system NOT you IPHONE or ANDROID phone and show them when they visit you and can slap you in the face .....

Basic rule is, if your computer (or cellphone, or whatever equipment there is) is on the internet, your files are not safe. Simple as that.
