Great title for a thread, Amethyst.
Life is everything, and death is nothing other than the process of transformation
from one state of being to another.

I could not agree more! The right life holds the secrets to a successful death.

I went to this exhibition once, a few years ago, called "Life before death". It was a collection of stories and photographs of people who had terminal illnesses, and they shared some of what their lives were like and how they felt about death. Some were at peace with it, and some were not. Photos were taken just before and just after "dying". There was one photograph where the man looked so very peaceful, and he said before hand that he didn't fear death, this to me was a beautiful thing to see and feel.

It reminded me of the importance of really living life, following out hearts, and living our dreams...well as much as we can...

The thing I look forward to is learning everything I can about everything ... interacting with other humans is natures way of testing what I've learned ... just like trees , we stay grounded to the Earth , and always reaching for the light ...

I see the rollercoaster is on the upswing again.

Here we come or is that....go again?

No point in avoiding the climax, we can all see where it leads.

Ups and Downs

Light and Dark

Life and Death

Good thing it's all stretched out in the Space-Time continuum otherwise we'd have ourselves a Mexican standoff.

Going somewhere?

I have made a lot of progress in my life in some ways, and yes I am going somewhere.

There is always someone who wants to hurt me on a forum even though I have done nothing to them.

Deleted, my tone of expression is a mismatch to the thread.

What are you looking forward to?

What ways do you take care of yourself?

What do you luvs about life?

1. Continuing the path I'm on (for the first time in my life really), though in ways I also dread it. I'm looking forward to seeing how much good I can do, and the ways in which the universe reaffirms those actions in unexpected ways (if it continues to do so; I know it's best to not go expecting it).

2. The funny thing was, for me, when I took some hard steps in that direction, it started to become almost unconscious. My body is moving away from harmful cravings the more I allow it to. The aforementioned reaffirmations so often come by way of synchronicity; today is the "Here-n-Now" thread's three year birthday. Yesterday was my three week birthday having given up meat entirely, "cold turkey" if you will.
Also, today being the first day I *coincidentally* felt the urge to come and browse Avalon since the end of last month, shortly after this all took off for me.

3. Still kind of a hard thing to answer for me, honestly, though I suppose you could boil it down to "the little things" and the things you can't quite explain (save the best poets and writers, I suppose). When you strip down your world, daily life becomes a bit like learning it all again, just with crib notes for things you've done before. In a way, I need to rediscover what happiness is for me, and really look at why that is, and where it may lead.

Thanks for your bright disposition, Amethyst. People so often underestimate how hard that is to maintain and project in sincerity (though the picture helps :) ).

This is soooo 80's and a bit corny, but I like the tune anyways... http://www.allsmileys.com/files/kolobok/icq/37.gif

Thanks for sharing Freed Fox! :)

My original post was a message in itself following on from Omni's deep "I look forward to my death" thread (kinda, rhetorical questions, as well as liking to see sharesies :) )

Also...well, to look forward, in hope...hope is at times underestimated in it's power...but it can help some people at times...

Yeah, it's good to live in the present moment, and I luvs that! (sometimes! *giggle* :) )

Here is one, I look forward to taking my belly dance classes again :) it's been a while that I haven't been able to due to viral dizzyness...this will make me appreciate it even more when I can do it again! I will be celebrating!
