Only just started looking more into this kind of stuff... excellent article, thank you!

Thanks for the article. I wonder why geo-engineering is trying so hard to do crazy things like create exotic ways to get CO2 out of the atmosphere
while we are still removing trees and forests each day. Why not plant new forests ?
Still fishy to me.

That's because we'are seeing clashing interests of power groups.
Modus operandi is as follows:
(1) create civilization without regards to environment it exist in (pillaging/parasite scheme)
(2) Observe natural enviroment's reaction to distortions in natural cycles
(3) Explain those distortions in a way that would suggest even more meddling is necessary (favouring certain groups that had foreknowledge of problem)
(4) Observe more distortions, as natural system fights back
(5) Suggest another bath of "easy solutions" that would further expand powers wielded by patrons ..
repeat till you destroy natural system, harvest resources, move to another place.
Actually, that is same scheme used in say, "Global Financial Crisis".
Of course real problem is unaddressed, that is compatibility of our civilization with environment that support it (or say, compatibility of financial market with real markets).
The groups in power are not interested in solving the problem at all - they are interested in expanding their powers and securing interests of their sponsors.
Stepping back is out of the question for them, thus they go from one crazy scheme to another , just to delay day of reckoning. Kick the can as far as they can.

Reuters..... hmmmm.... now why would they report this, I wonder.
If we are supposed to think the spraying is for 'geo-engineering' I can quite well see why they reported this. Perhaps The Barium and Aluminium isn't for quite that purpose though.
As for environmental groups meeting in Japan, well, that's a bunch I don't trust either. Could be a perfect twinning. Hey, you guys all get together for a world conference and mention the "geo-engineering" spaying program. We'll report it like that to the bleary-eyed world.
Yea right.
I don't think they are investing so much in experimental techniques for atmospheric CO2 reduction because I don't believe they really think it's needed. They MIGHT be trying out something to protect us from the worst of the Sun's problems to come. That's about all I'll grant them on the 'good' side.
On the negative side, well, how about experimenting with various materials to project/capture/direct energy weapon beams?
Naaa, if Reuters said, it ain't true.

Loved this quote from the article,
"Improving nature conservation is what we should do in order to fight climate change, not trying to change nature."
Screw the USA cap and trade solution which is just a way to get the little people to pay for all the scrubbers that big corporations don't want to install. Governments need to put the expense on the big time polluters. And places like China and their one a day coal power plants need help. I am sure the shadow gov't has solutions. They are holding back so much stuff that could become job producers for our sour economy.
Thanks,
Granny Franny
P.S. how do we use the thanks icon
