Isn't it true that there is a part of ones heart that never opens until one has a child?
I found this to be very true in my own life and just want to know if others here know this to be true too.

From what I have seen and heard, having children does make a difference :)
I get broody sometimes...occasionally I cry because I want a child...and because I am so touched by a baby...and cause I feel so much love in me for them...(maybe one day I will be a mother, maybe not...I do love to nurture, we can be mothers in other ways...)...
(I had a vision of my future daughter several months ago...it was very beautiful...it felt real but could have been just imagination...)...
I love this song (was listening to it a few days ago - maybe there is something mumy-ish in the air!)

You have something to look forward to Amethyst and I'll keep you in my prayers that you'll end up with a mate who will end up being a very good father too! I was very fortunate in that regard and even though we split ages ago, I really lucked out that the father of my child was/is one of the best out there. My son and his dad are best friends too.

This is a beautiful saying and certainly feels true for me as I am blessed to have become a mother at a time in my life when I could fully appreciate the beauty of it.
Recently I was watching my husband and son absorbed in a task together, and I thought to myself, there goes the only other person in the world who loves my son as deeply as I do.
I love my husband truly deeply, but the love for your child feels different, it can be so strong it's almost painful.
My childhood was not very pleasant so I appreciate the fact that I'm experiencing a happy loving family life in my adult years.

Oh my, Thank you Amethyst. I have three wonderful children. Two have the same father who passed away in 2008. And then there is my daughter who was our surprise. Conceived out of wedlock and anticipated and loved by my sons and me when all others would have said what are you doing and why? My sons and I knew simply, we weren't all here yet. There was someone else waiting for the right moment to be part of our world. My oldest son, who was twenty when she was born actually moved back home to get to know his little sister. She has a special bond with both of them. Even though I am an older mother, and so many people questioned my decisions to go ahead with my pregnancy and keep this baby to raise by myself as her father turned his back on us and walked away, I, my sons and our lives have never been more blessed. My sons grew up knowing that even when there father was not engaged they were still loved by him. My daughter is growing up knowing that even without a father's love, those that cherish you and have waited for you are all that matters.
