In 329 BC, Alexander the Great reported seeing great silver shields, spitting fire around the rims which panicked his elephants, horses and soldiers. In 170 BC, Lycothenes wrote of a fleet of ships in the air. And, in 90 BC, Roman author, Obsequens, wrote “In the territory of Spoletum, a globe of fire, of golden colour, fell to the earth gyrating. It then seemed to increase in size, rose from the earth and ascended into the sky, where it obscured the sun with its brilliance.”

Damn. I live near St Annes. I'd have gone to that. Must get the programme. There are a few renaissance paintings which clearly show a UFO - or one looks like a sputnik satellite so don't know if that's a time warp or what.

No actual controls seen but the hands are in strange positions, they look like they are twiddling something and or holding a lever!

Talking of strange positions, that top person/pilot must be a contortionist? his head is pointing in the opposite direction to it's body! which btw means he also is looking through the rounded end of the object/craft!

It looks like some kind of device but I don't think it is a depiction of our modern Sputnik.

At 29:10, he discusses the cartouche carving from the Temple of Seti I at Abydos:

The anomaly is the creation of a cartouche being reused by following generations. The initial carving was made during the reign of Seti I, and the stone was later reused during the period of Ramesses II with one carving being on top of the other. This palimpsest effect coupled with erosion creates the carving in situ.
