One should note the comments of the youtube viewers below the video:
There were large parts not translated (and so far as I can juge with my limited knowledge in Russian, the translation is not very accurate).

Lea Varivor: The translation is partially wrong and doesn't get the message that the documentary is giving.
TyJWTB: youtube removing the subtitles from any truly revealing information

28:43 (In the Train) word by word was chanted like a register on a magnetic tape... the woman was then afraid to go out.

29:41 (Woman who sent the letters) She was charged 13.60 Rubels for mailing these two letters... 13.60 (13 Rubels, 60 Kopeks) (42 Dollars) for two letters is a considerable amount of money for a retired person, but she decided to send them both anyhow.

32:50 (Info leaks) There are information leaks that seem unorganized, but in fact they are well organized.

35:55 (Air Force Pilot) I told my flight instructor that I had seen a UFO and asked him: what type of plane is this? Do we have to fly them (or with them)? The instructor pulled up his glasses and said: "I advise you not to speak of this issue any longer if you want to graduate."

37:02 Today there is a group of special forces incorporated into the KGB structure and the Ministry of Defense which monitors and investigates aircraft incidents as well as other kinds, especially those focused on missile technology. They are in charge of resolving unusual mysteries such as UFOs.

41:10 (Black Cloud Incident) It was as if the plane had just stopped in mid air.. but I then realized that the speed was at 400 km/h (250 Miles/h) and altitude was normal.

42:02 (Second Incident) I could not take my eyes off of that thing because I was enchanted by it.

44:13 There is also more to this mystery. all this requires the attention of the secret services and surrounding groups for whom a lot of money is being spent

46:24 The object landed on the main square where there was a lot of people and it happened in broad daylight before the eyes of all those people. Two beings came out from the object and they waved the people in the square and then they went back on the wheel that flew over the USSR.

I've watched it too and it seems completely legit to me. I talk to a guy in Russia who is learning English, and I have some desire to learn Russian, and there is a real interest in conspiracy and UFO topics in Russia today. The Russians can be attentive as anyone else and their culture is more open to many of these kinds of ideas.

The way I've seen it explained is that when communism took over Russia and it became the heart of the Soviet Union, religious thinking such as Christianity was of course suppressed and the Russian people were encouraged to think more practically and scientifically. After the Soviet Union collapsed, and even before then, there was a "spiritual void" in Russian culture that the people sought to fill, and they did it by exploring many esoteric things scientifically. They've built pyramids outside of Moscow for trying to channel some form of life-giving energy, they've developed "torsion physics" and had their equivalent of remote viewing programs and all manner of similar things.

Also, I sent the video of Medvedev talking about ETs to my Russian friend. Even though he's into UFOs and ETs, I was surprised to learn that he hadn't heard of this video and he thanked me for sending it to him. He confirmed that Medvedev really was basically saying what he was translated as saying. But then he commented that unfortunately many Russians don't take Medvedev seriously because apparently he's a drunk. :noidea:
