Hi Everybody :)
This is my first ever post, and I'm excited to be here.
Ok, so I was just watching an interview with Teal Swan by Nova Zem (is this an Avalon member?), which was about the fact that we create our own reality at all times.
Our thoughts, when thought often enough, will start to manifest themselves in our external reality. This made me reflect an awful lot on my own life, and the synchronicities which have occured because I have created them.
So, I've got to a point in my life where I realise that I have been running away from inner pain, I was spending my time learning that the world we live in is corrupt and went down the whole conspiracy route, learning as much as I could about everything from Black Ops, to Common Law, to 9/11, to reptilians and much more!
I spent the best part of 5 years learning all that stuff, then on my sixth year I started to look more into spirituality.
My first experience was with Islam as my boyfriend at the time was starting to go down that path believing that it was the thing he needed to do (which it probably is) but I can't bring myself to really join any existing religion. I can see where tools of control have been put in place in order to obscure the true spiritual messages of these teachings, so I cannot join any one religion, even though I do see the truth within them!
Therefore, I just like to call myself a spiritual person. Now, since my spiritual awakening started I have had a lot of inner guidance/knowledge come to the surface which I've expressed and then a few days or weeks later I will either find a book that has the exact words I was saying printed in them, or watch a video of someone who says the exact thing that I was only a few days earlier.
When I started getting to know my true self, and stripping off the layers of conditioning that we have all been subjected to through the media, but also socialisation in general, I realised that we all have a lot of inner emotional pain from childhood that we need to turn and face before we can move on up. I believe that before we make a huge change in the world, everyone will have to spend some time going within and taking a look at how they really feel in order to integrate those 'shadow' aspects (the parts of ourselves we don't accept) and become whole.
So a friend of mine bought a few books, and I asked if I could borrow one from him as it stood out to me. It is called Your Soul Contract Decoded by Nicholas David Ngan and I urge everyone to get a copy!
This book is where I saw in my own Soul Contract that it mentioned how I had to have healing to accept my 'Dark Side' or 'Shadow Self'.
So I think to myself, well how on Earth do I do that? Where do I find someone who knows how to do shadow work?
I watch a lot of Youtube videos (as I'm sure most of you do as well) and somehow came across a video by Teal Swan entitled Shadow Work.
Now Teal Swan, I completely resonate with! She says so many things that I have already said in conversation or thought to myself in meditation.
For example, a few months ago, I had the epiphany that there is no such thing as sin and that 'God', which I like to call Source, doesn't have opinions or judgement on us.
I see God as an intelligent expression through all that exists, Source wants to experience absolutely everything in order to learn from those experiences and feed back that information to itself in order to expand in consciousness and create even more.
So to that effect, there really is no such thing as sin from a Universal perspective as everything that happens can be learned from.We only view things as sin because of how we feel when things happen. That doesn't make those things acceptable however, it just makes those things understandable. And I'm not saying we should all going around killing people because there's no such thing as sin, obviously we know that those things make us feel bad and we want to prevent those things from occuring as much as possible because our emotions are our guidance system for knowing what we want to see and experience in our external reality.
This is exactly how Teal Swan describes it (obviously paraphrased, I'm sure she does a lot better job at explaining it than I do).
I see all these things as synchronicities and that I'm on the right track. So I have been doing Shadow Work for a couple of months now and have managed to integrate a few aspects of myself that I couldn't face before, and I can see this is going to be a good years worth, or so, of work for me.
So, I was just wondering if any of you have been doing Shadow Work and your experiences with it?
If any of you know about workshops of events in the UK to do with this subject.
Also, just hearing synchronicity stories in general is exciting for me. I really look forward to reading the responses and I hope to join in more often on this forum :)
Thanks for reading this post, can't believe how long it is! It turns out I can be quite the chatterbox when I'm passionate about something :p
