View Full Version : Shadow Work Synchroncitiy

Hi Everybody :)

This is my first ever post, and I'm excited to be here.

Ok, so I was just watching an interview with Teal Swan by Nova Zem (is this an Avalon member?), which was about the fact that we create our own reality at all times.

Our thoughts, when thought often enough, will start to manifest themselves in our external reality. This made me reflect an awful lot on my own life, and the synchronicities which have occured because I have created them.

So, I've got to a point in my life where I realise that I have been running away from inner pain, I was spending my time learning that the world we live in is corrupt and went down the whole conspiracy route, learning as much as I could about everything from Black Ops, to Common Law, to 9/11, to reptilians and much more!
I spent the best part of 5 years learning all that stuff, then on my sixth year I started to look more into spirituality.
My first experience was with Islam as my boyfriend at the time was starting to go down that path believing that it was the thing he needed to do (which it probably is) but I can't bring myself to really join any existing religion. I can see where tools of control have been put in place in order to obscure the true spiritual messages of these teachings, so I cannot join any one religion, even though I do see the truth within them!
Therefore, I just like to call myself a spiritual person. Now, since my spiritual awakening started I have had a lot of inner guidance/knowledge come to the surface which I've expressed and then a few days or weeks later I will either find a book that has the exact words I was saying printed in them, or watch a video of someone who says the exact thing that I was only a few days earlier.

When I started getting to know my true self, and stripping off the layers of conditioning that we have all been subjected to through the media, but also socialisation in general, I realised that we all have a lot of inner emotional pain from childhood that we need to turn and face before we can move on up. I believe that before we make a huge change in the world, everyone will have to spend some time going within and taking a look at how they really feel in order to integrate those 'shadow' aspects (the parts of ourselves we don't accept) and become whole.

So a friend of mine bought a few books, and I asked if I could borrow one from him as it stood out to me. It is called Your Soul Contract Decoded by Nicholas David Ngan and I urge everyone to get a copy!
This book is where I saw in my own Soul Contract that it mentioned how I had to have healing to accept my 'Dark Side' or 'Shadow Self'.
So I think to myself, well how on Earth do I do that? Where do I find someone who knows how to do shadow work?
I watch a lot of Youtube videos (as I'm sure most of you do as well) and somehow came across a video by Teal Swan entitled Shadow Work.
Now Teal Swan, I completely resonate with! She says so many things that I have already said in conversation or thought to myself in meditation.
For example, a few months ago, I had the epiphany that there is no such thing as sin and that 'God', which I like to call Source, doesn't have opinions or judgement on us.
I see God as an intelligent expression through all that exists, Source wants to experience absolutely everything in order to learn from those experiences and feed back that information to itself in order to expand in consciousness and create even more.
So to that effect, there really is no such thing as sin from a Universal perspective as everything that happens can be learned from.We only view things as sin because of how we feel when things happen. That doesn't make those things acceptable however, it just makes those things understandable. And I'm not saying we should all going around killing people because there's no such thing as sin, obviously we know that those things make us feel bad and we want to prevent those things from occuring as much as possible because our emotions are our guidance system for knowing what we want to see and experience in our external reality.
This is exactly how Teal Swan describes it (obviously paraphrased, I'm sure she does a lot better job at explaining it than I do).

I see all these things as synchronicities and that I'm on the right track. So I have been doing Shadow Work for a couple of months now and have managed to integrate a few aspects of myself that I couldn't face before, and I can see this is going to be a good years worth, or so, of work for me.

So, I was just wondering if any of you have been doing Shadow Work and your experiences with it?
If any of you know about workshops of events in the UK to do with this subject.

Also, just hearing synchronicity stories in general is exciting for me. I really look forward to reading the responses and I hope to join in more often on this forum :)

Thanks for reading this post, can't believe how long it is! It turns out I can be quite the chatterbox when I'm passionate about something :p

Hi Paradox.
No such thing as Sin?
Sin was a god in early Mesopotamia. When Yahweh came on the scene that god coined the term "to sin" meaning to pay homage to the god Sin. From there the term caught on and is now considered a transgression against the god of the Hebrews.
There is no such thing as sin because there is no one left who prays to Sin.
A transgression against a god is a childish idea only a civilization that is not yet civilized could consider valid.

On the other topic: my "Dark night of the soul" has not yet concluded - I am on my sixteenth year!

Welcome to the forum Paradox22, that was a great first post. :)

Facing our shadow part is essential, I too have been doing that work for years... I had my dark night of the soul several years ago which woke me up and lead me to the spiritual path. I suppose I'm still a work in progress, most if not all of us are. Have you listened to this video before?

Hello Paradox. Have you ever heard of Nanci Danison? She is a near death experiencer. During her NDE she realized that her thoughts instantly manifested physical things/settings and then went on to remember that we too can manifest reality (but not as instantaneously) while still living in the body. This is because our eternal spirits are actually parts of Source, so we have the same powers to manifest as Source does. She has three books that talk about her experience and all she learned (more like REMEMBERED), part of which is how we, as eternal spirits, manifest our physical reality while incarnated in human bodies. Here is a short video of her's. Check out her books for more in-depth information on manifesting.

P.S. She also say's that Source is unconditionally loving and does not judge us as we are parts of Source sent here to experience life in the physical, on behalf of Source. We are It's ground-crew in the physical, It's expression in human bodies. Humans are separate beings, animals that have all kinds of selfish desires stemming from their need for self-preservation, which may make life in the human body very interesting for the eternal Spirit that tags along for the experience.

Hi Rebel
Thanks for the info. Very interesting indeed!

Have you don much Shadow Work during your Dark night of the Soul? I have been going through mine for about 8 years now and I'm finding this to really help me!

Hi Wind
Thanks for the welcome and I'm glad you enjoyed the post :)
Yes it seems the Dark night of the Soul is a very long process that just seems to get easier along the way.
I haven't listened to that particular video I don't think, but I will now :) I have listened to some of Alan Watts before though, especially when he talks about doing what you love in life as opposed to working just for the sake of money. But I find that difficult to perceive as I'm currently in a situation where I'm working just for money but I'm hoping that will change soon, I can feel a shift in me due to this shadow work!

Hi Seeker/Reader

I haven't come across Nanci before, thank you for the recommendation! Another book to add to my collection, they are stacking up!
It sounds like she has the exact same perspective on things as this Teal Swan does. And I'm starting to see how I have manifested things in my life, even though that may be hard to admit sometime because I can also see the negatives I have created.
But without negative how could we see the positive right? :)

I have done shadow work, although to be honest I should do more - obviously.

Silly to be stuck when you are not stuck but stuck on being stuck about being stuck. Whatever :p Can't describe what the problem seems to be. I'm just stuck.

I have not read the book you mention but I am familiar with Teal. I have watched her videos. Will look deeper, thanx.

It is hard I must admit, but I do tend to feel a whole lot better when I finally come out of the pain I am experiencing.

Haha I know exactly what you mean! I feel stuck too, but now that I have found this Shadow Work and Teals videos it seems to have given me a boost to start taking action steps to getting me out of this 'stuck' situation I have manifested.

Good luck!

Hi and welcome, Paradox22. There are a number of PA threads regarding shadow work. Really, any deep consideration of the ego will involve looking at the shadow. You'll find most or all of the threads directly about the shadow if you do a search for
wetiko

Three of the many such threads are:

Interview -- Paul Levy Wetiko and the Dreaming -- in the Books, Videos, Articles, etc Subsection of General Discussion http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?42499-Interview-Paul-Levy-Wetiko-the-Dreaming&p=448946&viewfull=1#post448946 (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?42499-Interview-Paul-Levy-Wetiko-the-Dreaming&p=448946viewfull=1#post448946)

Speaking of synchronicity: yesterday I was searching for videos on this topic exactly. Synchronicity is truly something... those with an open, accepting and clear state of mind and heart seem to pick up the same frequencies from the higher realms.

PS Welcome!

You know, people talk about synchronicity. However, at times, I believe that I have not experienced (maybe once or twice) it personally. I feel like I am not on the same spiritual vibrations as others because I don't know why but I don't remember a lot of incidences where I have experienced it. Maybe I have a lot of energy blocks, but whatever the reasons, I have limited knowledge on this matter.

I am still waiting for synchronistic events to happen to my life, I remain hopeful. :)

And here you are Skyhaven 'stumbling' across this :)

brilliant stuff!

I have so many different synchronicity stories, might do a post on them :)

Thanks for the welcome :)
