View Full Version : Visible Dancing Orbs

A musician friend showed me a video of a gig his band played in a small restaurant in Liverpool UK last week. What struck me more than the quite exceptional music was the fact that a number of orbs appeared to be flying around the room 'dancing' throughout the song.
I just had to share this! Enjoy!

Mmm.... orb bombs and what are they bringing?

"I want to believe"
I've seen some convincing 'orb' videos in the past but unfortunately this one just looks like light reflections, possibly reflecting off drinks glasses being moved around by the crowd.

Those orbs are following the photographer, I think!
( flying in and around him/her, so that the camera was able to capture them, otherwise I seriously doubt they would be ... visible )

I think you may be right chocolate, the orbs do seem to be following the photographer as most of them are seen very close to the camera. Worth noting is that the photographer is the guitarists wife and right at the beginning of the vid, he flashes her a smile and an orb immediately flies in front of the camera. :)

Oh COME ON. They are light reflections coming from the crowd. They even reflect light back on the metallic of the drums and the guitars.
Please. It's embarrassing. :flypig:

Morning Fox, I do know light, and those 'light reflections' just make no common sense.
But, it is what you say it is.
I'd say, they do love that woman. Both the man and the woman.
:p
( now seriously, in the open air in front of the camera you need something to bounce the light back , and there's just air there ... )

How do they make no common sense?

I am watching again the video, and those reflections are all over the place. And I did add to my previous post.
Of course they can be light reflections. ( said one rising one's brow... )
But in my story they are orbs!
:)

The light source is probably lights facing towards the crowd above the camera. The light is then reflecting off the moving pint and wine glasses in the crowd. The light is then reflected for a second time back toward the camera when it hits the metallic parts of the guitar and drums.
Your comment makes no sense?
There some very convincing 'orb' videos out there, but this is not one of them.

Morning Fox,
There were no lights facing towards the crowd above the camera.
This was filmed in a corner of a restaurant not in a disco.
Orbs are the best explanation I can come up with, which makes a lot more sense than this -
The light source is probably lights facing towards the crowd above the camera. The light is then reflecting off the moving pint and wine glasses in the crowd. The light is then reflected for a second time back toward the camera when it hits the metallic parts of the guitar and drums.
I mean, come on. Read that again. Are you serious? Do you often experience this phenomena in places you visit?

Yes. I do find it rather humorous that you'll ask me if I'm serious when suggesting light reflections, which is exactly what it looks like, yet mystical flying dancing orbs with their own volition makes more sense to you, but never mind.
As mentioned before I've seen some very convincing 'orb' videos and I certainly believe there is something to it, but I just can't see it in this video.
I'll kindly leave this thread alone now. Carry on...

Thanks for your comment Morningfox.
Personally I prefer the 'mystical flying orbs' theory to the (non existent) light reflecting off a wine glass onto the guitar then appearing as a solid floating light ball' theory but hey, thats just me.
Please excuse my fluffyness :)
