View Full Version : Leaving Room For Grace

When awakening comes it won't come by any efforts.
It will have to come by Grace and only by Grace.
It could come as easily to the drunk the prostitute as to the holy.
It comes with one recognition...I Need Do Nothing.
I can do no thing to bring awakening.
The "I" can never do no thing.
With this realization a space opens, within that space Grace may enter.
Saint Francis of Assisi made this statement."What you are looking for is what is looking".
Primal and previous to the i...is what is looking.

Grace, redemption, forgiveness and sin are all idiologies inspired buy satanic influence...any set of values, or morals, by which we 'kill' those who disagree with us is an idiology.
We all, in our early stages of consciousness evolution, have some idiology which is presented almost unknowingly to those around us. In most cases we even share the same idiology, in our circle of life, and no one takes offence or questions our beliefs and morals...we even seem to think the same...this is common amongst Christians and Muslims...and others...and you can just turn on your TV or radio any time to prove this with all the conflict in the world today...one idiology against another.
Now grace, in it's religious concept and understanding, requires that there is some god who every now and them decides to be nice to one of us and rains down some blessing on some lucky one...or forgives someone for his/her sins...whatever they may be. This 'god' also seems to be the one when we recall the quote from the movie 'Pulp Fiction'...”And you will know I am the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon you."
This concept is no doubt useful when we are looking after a class of children who need to be some how contained...and so rewarding good behaviour with some chocolate cake would be a good plan...or metering out some punishment may equally be of use :) :)
There is no such thing as grace in the way we would like to think of it...forgiveness and redemption by some unknown, non-existent god is just what the satanic forces would like us to believe in, in order to keep us from attaining our rightful sovereignty...and so not being responsible for our own individual actions.
There is only the Laws of life which hands out justice and there is no escape...we know of this as karma or sowing and reaping.
This great law has no fickle mind and does not serve any side...good or bad...we get what we hand out and that is that. This justice may take many lives to be handed out, in the form of a life of bad or good reaping...and it works both ways...we do good, we receive good...we do bad, we get bad...there is no god who is moulded by some emotion, on some day, where he decides to hand out grace to some lucky one on some lucky day...the Law is consistent and is never wrong...even when we think we are been done by...what ever happens to us is our doing...good or bad. We cannot, ever, be judged incorrectly by the law of live.
What we do we get back...and just because we cannot remember what we did to get what we got, does not mean there is grace...it just means that we have forgotten about all the good or bad we might have done...and today might just be the day for justice to run it's course...will we be in 'luck' and have a good reaping or will we be paying back some past bad action...which we always thought we could just sweep under the carpet, and forget about?
Take care

sure, but what it took to bring you there ;-)
What it took to bring you there could be different for all.
The same wind will not sound the same flowing through different instruments.

Not even sure what Grace is.
It may come when we surrender or realize it can't come by the fruits of our efforts.
When the "i" as being able to do anything has been let go.
When we can't do it for ourselves ...it may enter.
To DO anything involves the body. And if you recognize you NEED do nothing, you have withdrawn the body’s value from your mind...Acim
Richard Rose used to ask his students: What do you know for sure?
The most common answer after contemplation was....only that there is awareness.
Awareness need do nothing.
Awareness the space where Grace may enter.

Hi Grizz,
Thanks for your words: "With this realization a space opens, within that space Grace may enter."
I feel the opening today with you!
I was walking my dogs and all of a suddenly I felt my outer world like a pin point and an open expanse over take me and all my "problems" as an inner plane expanding. The real is wide and deep tonight and holds everything. It is in me but welling up and out to embrace "me".
The only prayer IS Thank You.
Who is thanking whom needs no definition.
It is all US and we need not seek the favor of our very own selves.
The whole pin point world is consumed in appreciation.
And here is your thread to confirm the presence!

And as I am writing this I know we are all in it. I have faith in this resting place today.
Grace
She takes the blame
She covers the shame
Removes the stain
It could be her name
Grace
It's a name for a girl
It's also a thought that
Changed the world
And when she walks on the street
You can hear the strings
Grace finds goodness
In everything
Grace
She's got the walk
Not on a wrapper on chalk
She's got the time to talk
She travels outside
Of karma, karma
She travels outside
Of karma
When she goes to work
You can hear the strings
Grace finds beauty
In everything
Grace
She carries a world on her hips
No champagne flute for her lips
No twirls or skips between her fingertips
She carries a pearl
In perfect condition
What once was hers
What once was friction
What left a mark
No longer stains
Because Grace makes beauty
Out of ugly things
Grace finds beauty
In everything
Grace finds goodness
In everything

Here is a video from Paul Hedderman, Paul has a history as a recovering alcoholic and part of the AAA program is the recognition
that we (the i) is powerless to help ourselves and so allowing for Grace.
Paul is humorous, simple and about as blunt as a bowling ball...also allow for the cussing.
I think it's well worth the listening time.
