Serco Group plc is a British[3] outsourcing company based in Hook, Hampshire. Among its operations are public and private transport and traffic control, aviation, military and nuclear weapons contracts, detention centres and prisons and schools. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. Serco operates in Continental Europe, the Middle East, the Asia Pacific region and North America, but the majority of its turnover still comes from the UK.

Serco has won a $95 million patent classification services contract with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Under the contract, Serco will provide initial patent classification and reclassification services to support the agency’s core mission of examining, granting and disseminating patents and trademarks, Serco said in a release.
Services under the contract will include performance management, quality assurance, information security, training, knowledge management and IT support, engineering and development of custom software, Serco said.
Work will be performed in Harrisonburg, Va.

Serco Inc, U.S. subsidiary of Serco Group Plc, will help review and process paper applications from consumers who apply for subsidized insurance coverage through federally operated exchanges in 34 states, according to the 12-year contract awarded by the Department of Health and Human Services.
