I'm currently writing a research paper about the War on Drugs, this could come in well for the pathos aspect of it. Although, it makes me entirely sick to my stomach knowing that this little girl will never know what it's like to grow up with a family that loves her.

Also, the fact that two juries acquitted this guy just flabbergasts me. How stupid are the general public of this nation?

What War on Anything has the government ever won?! A government declaration of war on any subject results in calamity, discord, failure, and profits for the warriors.

Anyway, why are drugs treated as a crime (that should NEVER warrant death) and not a health issue?

Never forget, ANYTHING/ANYONE (including jurys) can be bought. And druglords have LOTS of cashflow.

The exact reason we as a nation are in the predicament we are in. The biggest criminal aspect to the problem is its done legally, totally legit through lobbying, bribes, and insider trading for those who rule us, being manipulated with a money supply that has been stolen from the working class. We are funding our own demise with apathetic abandon
