Just as Sunspot 1117 is rotating onto the western limb and out of direct earth view, Sunspot 1120 which is located towards the northeast limb is started to show some growth. Click on the image located below. Sunspot 1117 which turned out to be one of the largest sunspots of Cycle 24 thus far produced multiple C-Class flares and one M-Class event. None of these flares produced any earth directed CME's.
