nothing feels better than cruising along and noticing someone is blinking their headlights from the other direction, you can slow down and check out the scene... and sure enough... another parasite alert, saved you a couple hundred bucks, your faith in the human spirit renewed... best goodwill you can give... and there is no law against testing your headlight system last I checked...

He knew it was a DUI checkpoint so he was essentially warning the drunk drivers to avoid getting caught. He's helping the drunk drivers keep driving and potentially putting other people at risk. I want those police out there catching drunk drivers but get in your cars and do some work instead of penalizing all the rest of us, too, with your roadblocks.

Good insight Matt!! You post a very valid point that I really had not considered. I fully agree with that!!! There is more one that one way to catch a rat, without causing a major traffic back up.

Pre crime is anti-constitutional and a slippery slope, but there will always be a politically correct justification for it...

Living free is about respecting other's right to freedom, if they took all the money that they poured into their institutions, cars, tasers, jails, clubs, guns, bullet proof vests, pensions, etc, etc, ad nauseum, you could easily spend it educating people instead, and there'd be mountains of money left over... higher standard of living, more educated populous, more stable society...

and most important of all more freedom...

So I don't buy it... what is going on is a 100% scam... "Let he who would be deceived, be deceived..." of course the "slaves" consenting to their own slavery doesn't help the cause... it just has the "good feeling" programmed into it, (think of how many millions that cost to do!!...) ...like stepping into a McDonalds... it's all emotional programming... with superficial logic... common sense, logic and education should tell you not to drink and drive, but cops doing little trade shows in schools once a years is sugar coating on a multi-million dollar cash cow...

think what makes eople go to the extreme of wanting to be drunk in the first place? (a form of escapism) Maybe living in a world of poverty, while tax fed police officers living off the fat of other people's labour, then take it upon themselve to milk the system to steal the wealth of families... that's less parks, recreation, swimming pools, youth programs, decent school and housing, until people see the direct connection between this cancer and the lower standard of living... then the "slaves" are locking themselves into the system...

I guess it would depend on the amount of corruption lies within each jurisdiction. I can say, you cannot go anywhere in this town without passing several police cars. I rarely see them fighting crimes, just giving traffic tickets. Its all about the money.
