I was very excited when I discovered that the time of the 2012 winter solstice was 11:11 Universal Time (see Fig. 2). I have been following the 11:11 phenomenon since the early 90s, and am hoping very much that the evolution of consciousness promised by its devotees will indeed take place! There is a wealth of information on the significance of the numbers 11:11 on the internet but, in a nutshell, much of the material comes from the channelled messages of the US medium Solara, and the underlying theme is that we are moving away from duality to oneness. This development is a global phenomenon, which began in 1992. The channellings state that eleven ‘doorways’ will open (the first one opened on 11th January 1992, and the last one will open on 11th November 2011), and with each opening there will be a shift in our consciousness.

At this moment of 11:11 on 21st December 2012, the Sun will have just entered Capricorn and the tenth house and this, I feel, is particularly significant. Capricorn is the last of the earth signs, and if we think of the evolution through the signs, arrival here is when we should have reached the greatest understanding of this earthly plane and physical reality. In Geoff Stray’s book, Beyond 2012, he writes extensively about the possible spiritual and esoteric changes that could take place at this time, so if there is one astrological sign in which to have an actual manifestation of an event, it would be very fitting for it to take place in Capricorn. It is entirely appropriate, for instance, that – symbolically (i.e. given the date we choose to celebrate it) - Jesus was born under this sign. This speaks to me of the actual physical incarnation of the godhead. It is worth contemplating the meaning of the glyph for Capricorn, a creature half-goat, half-fish, as the coming together of spirit and matter.

The Mayans knew about our time system, and chose a solstice with numerological meaning as the end date of their calendar, so that it would be meaningful to us.

The 11:11 concept is real, which means that we are living in a designed world, and the Mayans were aware of this world being designed. If this is the case, I'd be actively trying to find our who designed our world (and if you say God is a numerologist, I can't argue with that, but it lacks scientific evidence)

I'm thinking that the dates as such are an aside.

What it's based on is the location of star systems. The ancient cultures knew all about the movements of the stars - it was what their cultures and way of life developed around - their survival depended on it and so they paid very close attention to it and put a lot of store on it and of course, recorded it.
And, it just happens that these star systems fall into the exact alignment they occupied at the time of the last cataclysm on our current date of 21/12/2012

Since it seems instep with the theme of this post, I'll include the tabular data for the locations of the planets among the zodiac for the date and time. I would say, however, that the progress of the Sun into Capricorn isn't as significant as it seems; such progress was indicative of the winter solstice in the same way in which the entry into Cancer (Capricorn's polar opposite) marked the Summer Solstice, and how entry into Aries and Libra respectively marked the Vernal and Autumnal Equinoxes; the sun enters Capricorn on the Yule Solstice in both 2011 and 2013 too lol, though admittedly 11:11 is a nice touch, though somewhat spoilt by the additional 36 seconds XD

Actually I think this is literally true.

Progressive websites have "trolls" who spout talking points and generally try to muddy the waters with propaganda. Some of these people are clearly paid. They probably work for advertising agencies who are hired to do this sort of thing.

Astrology, in general, has been degraded and undermined by ubiquitous sun sign astrology in almost every national newspaper. Real astrology is quite specific to the individual. It has a resolution of about 4 minutes in birth time and just a few miles in birthplace. Sun sign astrology is absurd. It's proliferation is a deliberate attempt to discredit a very interesting technique.

TPTB cannot contain information in the internet age, at least not yet. Their strategy is sophisticated and endless disinformation. It is very effective.

We must cultivate discernment and not be discouraged by the garbage.

Oh I totally agree DawgBone, but I think the presence of sun-sign astrology in newspapers may have done some good: there are plenty who scoff saying it can't be true, but they will always say that while those who in some way accept it are often more open to the idea of full astrology. I've found a lot of people know also what their rising/ascendant sign is, or at least know of the idea. I personally have no idea why astrology works, but I have seen far too many coincidences to consider it a string of coincidences (though if that's all it is, let the coincidences continue and it's still useful). I really don't care to speculate why astrology might work any more than I have to know the inner workings of a car to go for a ride.

For those of us who may not study astrology and Voyagers Volume/Freedom teachings, could you translate that into a brief synopsis?

Are the Templars mentioned, the Knights Templar? Who composed the Guardian and Illuminati races? Are the ones specified in these texts the same elite, royal bloodline descendants we have now? Also, what is the "Bloom Of Doom", Metatatronic Wormholes (how many and where are they located)? Are the star gates all organic or are some man-made as compared to the wormholes? Where did the technology come from...ET races, that allowed the controllers to do these things? When speaking of parallel universes, only one or multi-verses?

This created many more questions than answers for me.
