It's even more impressive when you see the context of the whole episode and see all the "superhero"-like buffed, strong, tall men fail, and fail and fail again on this course - same course for men and women -- no one gets a break on these courses.

very impressive.
However, I will note one minor advantage.. her size. I grew up wrestling in highschool and I'll tell you what, the sub 5' category packed the most muscle to weight ratio ever. her size gave her an advantage & anyone who thinks differently has never done body weight athletics.

I believe muscle insertion points, flexibility and balance, visualization, and instinctual intuition are more critical than size -- it what allows size to have less influence. Not all small people are advantaged - that is for certain. ;)
Edit: But yeah, smaller people tend to have much better strength weight ratios (me being one of those). But I have seen some otherwise thin, lanky men, put on some decent muscle as well with good results, but again the right insertion points for the body type is also important.

I have never seen anything like this! I'm glad she did so well--- if only to silence that objectionable man commentating who couldn't believe a mere female could do such amazing things! As TargeT points out , small can be an advantage in such situations, and gymnastics gives a definite edge. I know a 12 year old girl who weighs 27 kilos and is tiny, but very agile and strong. She is also a gymnast and her leg, arm and shoulder strength is impressive and so unexpected in such a small child. This woman has no bulging muscles, but she does not need them as her body bulk is minimal. What a magnificent effort from a wonderful athlete!
Has she got a name --or did I miss it?

I'm not quite the opposite, but 5"11 215lbs is definitely not small; I've had my eyes opened by some amazing "small people" (close to half my weight (and MUCH more skilled)) in Jujitsu and other physical activities, I think there's some sort of leverage advantage or something.

I think a lot of it is mental ... smaller people have way more conviction. to get the job done better than a larger person -- to their benefit of course. One thing for sure - Never judge a book by its cover! ;)
Edit -- watching this gain -- her extreme flexibility and incredible range of motion championed her through obstacles where many others failed.
