Hi Guys,
Many years ago I purchased a greaseless aloe vera product from a local store. It worked wonders on my dry, winter skin. I've never used anything before or since that was quite as effective.
The store no longer sells it, and as hard as I've tried I can't locate greaseless aloe vera lotion...and I mean anywhere. There are a couple aloe lotions I've discovered, but they're not greaseless and are loaded with added chemicals and other assorted nonsense.
Even on the internet, I've been unable to find what I'm looking for. I was hoping one of you Avalonians might be able to help me out. I'm looking for (preferably) greasless aloe lotion...or an aloe product that, greaseless or not, doesn't include anything other than pure aloe.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

my wife uses special products for her over- sensitive skin , gime a day or two and I can no doubt find you what might work ... everything she uses has to be greaseless ...

I added "(aloe vera)" to this thread's title, so that it would be slightly more specific ... those with some knowledge of aloe vera might be more likely to take a look.

I have found that direct aloe vera (from the plant) is best. I'm particularly fond of climbing aloe, as it produces a wealth of 'leaves' and self-replicates. I started with a 6", single-stalk plant about 6 years ago and now it's a mammoth 5' monstrosity with more stalks than I can count.

The Planet is easy to grow if you live in a moderate climate, not Norway or really cold climates. Doesn't take well to hard freezes. I just strip the leaves and apply it to my skin directly. It also can be ingested. I use it as part of a heavy metal cleanse.

Aloe Vera's really great stuff! You can use it to take out stubborn carpet stains and you can brush your teeth with it too! :bounce:

for skin try cold pressed organic Coconut oil, the stuff is amazing on skin and hair (and wounds, and... well almost anything else; truly a gift from nature)

Get an aloe plant and get it straight from the source. Stuff is amazing. This summer I had a plant and left it out in too much sun. It was scorched brown and virtually dead. I brought it back inside and put it on my kitchen window sill and it healed itself!

I tried aloe strait from the plant on a sunburn, it was very sticky and didn't seem to do much, dried to a tough film... I'm not sure if this is best used as an extract or not, but it seems like it is.

Buy the plant, use the leaf. I have 8 of them and they sprout babies. You should have them in your house, like you have anticeptic. They are wonder plants also with their burn soothing and pain relief within seconds. Repairing the skin cells to their natural state. Like a virus remover in a pc. Great herb, like all the rest. They are probably buying them up for some corporate take over so,...buy them and grow them, it's worth it.

I used it on deodenal ulcer burning stomach, when anethesia wore off after an operation. The chemicals used to put me to sleep tore a hole in my stomach ulcer, and the pain was so bad, I couldn't unbend to get off the bed. I sent my nephew to the natural herb store for 100% pure aloe, and drank about a half cup. Stopped it right away. Better than Pepto Bismal.

Thanks guys. I knew you'd come through.
Funnily enough, it didn't even occur to me check eBay. I'll have to set up an account. Lots of good options there.
I have tried using the plant itself but found it a little unpractical. And most creams and lotions have a tendency to just sit on my skin like a laminate and not absorb. The greaseless stuff gets sucked right in. No residue.
Thanks Paul for making the title.more specific. Good idea.
