WILTSHIRE, ENGLAND—A new proposal to tunnel under Stonehenge was called “the biggest single investment ever by government in this country’s heritage” by Simon Thurley, chief executive of English Heritage. But archaeologist Kate Fielden, a member of Stonehenge Alliance, says that the current plan to bury the A303, a crucial route to the southwest, will harm the monument’s surroundings. “The short tunnel plan will create serious damage to the landscape on each side, within the world heritage site which the government is ignoring its commitment to protect,” she told The Guardian. The Stonehenge Alliance wants a tunnel at least twice as long as the one proposed by the government. Government LOL

I would always be suspicious of anything the government agrees to (Especially concerning ancient monuments such as SH)

To dig under it and have a good fumble around seeing what might be down there ha!

A sacred monument and the ground it sits on is not meant to be cut through, dug under, disrupting the natural energies of that area!

I meant to thank you for posting this earlier today Skywizard!

One of my books (can't remember!!) had a section describing the phenomenon of ancient peoples (such as Stonehenge builders, as Henges were mentioned in particular! I think this might have been a Reader's Digest book?) erecting monuments of stone on top of sites on Earth that happened to be RICH in Uranium!!!!

Because the Uranium causes people to dream/have supernatural experiences/access to other planes (?) !

And any digging whatsoever near this ancient site should be stopped, due to the fact that the nature of the place will be disturbed...

Who knows what could happen if they dig in the wrong place!
Remember what happened to Big Bertha in Seattle? @@
Digging machine had to be abandoned or something. lol

At a wild guess I'd imagine they'd be interfering with the ley lines/energy points for their own purposes. Didn't make a lot of sense closing the road going North of Stone Henge to me when they did the recent alternations. After Solstice celebrations a few years ago, police cars were blocking that road as I drove past. That didn't make sense either. It's become a mini Disneyland now having to take little mini rides to the stones and having to exit via the shop.

I wondered what Mr Obama was really at Stonehenge for -perhaps it was to give the OK for another tunnel link or Portal escape, there was talk of the Henge being a place where ancients arrived on Earth, perhaps they wish to investigate some more.
