View Full Version : TPTB don't want you to have raw dairy products or know how good they are for you

It's hard to believe what lengths TPTB (ie the dairy industry and FDA, but in some cases, even the FBI) will go to to prevent information about the benefits of raw dairy products and the products themselves from reaching the marketplace, but this article clearly demonstrates just how desperate they are. (The current epidemic of osteoporosis can be attributed to pasteurized dairy, and that is just the beginning--the more people wake up, the sooner these kinds of draconian tactics will be STOPPED.

Three times every week, Jan and Jeff King load 300 gallons of milk in a refrigerated truck, delivering to more than 150 homes around their family's century-old dairy farm. Their grandfather did the same until stopping in 1961. Now Jan and Jeff are taking up the task.

Parade reports:

"In the 1940s, Laddie Zwijacz's family took two quarts of milk a week from the King dairy. Each bottle cost 10 cents and had a three-inch layer of cream on top. 'This is what real milk tastes like, not the water you get in stores,' Zwijacz, 78, says of the Kings' current vintage. 'There's a world of difference.'"

People increasingly want to make their own choices for their health, and they are doing so by forming organic food co-ops, buying food from their local farms, and picking up fresh produce at farmer's markets on the weekends.

And in the Saratoga area, the community has even managed to convince a local dairy farm to resurrect the tradition of the milk man.

Personally, I find the idea of bringing back the milk man to be downright enchanting. What could possibly be better than getting farm-fresh milk delivered in glass bottles right to your doorstep every week?

I'm not sure the King Dairy brothers currently sell RAW milk, but that would truly be an ideal to strive toward.

The video above is the trailer from a full length documentary called Farmageddon...The Unseen War on American Family Farms, produced and directed by Kristin Canty. The film is slated for public release in January of next year, but Canty was kind enough to provide me this preview. (For more information, see www.farmageddonmovie.com.)

The film offers an in-depth look into the issue of raw milk, and the many issues that surround it. From government policies that favor big agriculture over small traditional farms, to the fascist-like methods employed to maintain that status quo, to the vastly different health impacts between organically-raised raw milk and its pasteurized and genetically modified factory-farmed counterpart.

Military Tactics Employed to "Save" You from Raw Milk

Canty's film includes the harrowing tales of seven dairy farmers and co-op owners who were raided and shut down for selling raw dairy products to the public.

David Gumpert's book The Raw Milk Revolution also discusses the disturbing trend of using armed force against peaceful civilians whose only "crime" is to provide unadulterated, health-promoting food to people who want to buy it.

This issue is in fact about much more than just raw milk in and of itself.

It's about your ability, your right, to purchase and consume natural, unadulterated food. And it's about big business trying to quench a competitor they know they can't compete with.

Many believe that industry could simply adjust and start selling raw milk if the market becomes strong enough. But they can't!

A factory farm cannot compete with a small organic, free-range farm because their entire business depends on the milk being pasteurized. They simply cannot afford to reproduce the conditions required to produce safe raw milk, such as allowing all the cows to pasture and graze on grass, for starters.

So, since big business can't produce what consumers want, they're simply trying to eliminate the raw milk market altogether. Agricultural agencies along with the FDA and CDC have been particularly aggressive recently in their efforts to crack down on raw milk producers and buying clubs under the pretense of public health safety.

Avoid being fooled by this issue.

As you'll see below, raw milk is typically far safer than pasteurized milk. The evidence to support their claims that raw milk is dangerous to drink simply does not exist; their claims are based on false assumptions.

But truth does not seem to matter in this case. Armed federal agents have and will continue to storm through small farms and barns, confiscating milk cartons and computers under the guise of protecting your health, unless drastic legislative changes are made.

Earlier this year, Grist magazine reported on the military tactics employed against dairy farmers, citing victims such as:

* Rawesome Foods: A private food club run by raw-food advocate Aajonus Vonderplanitz in California. Agents took thousands of dollars worth of raw honey and raw dairy products, and shut the group down for not having a public health permit (even though they're a private food club). The FBI and FDA were also on the scene.
* Traditional Foods Warehouse: A food club in Minnesota that offers locally produced foods. Agents raided the club and shut it down.
* A private residence: Agents searched a home and took computers because a family allowed a raw dairy farmer to park in their driveway while distributing raw milk to residents who had ordered it.
* The dairy farm and farm store of Vernon Hershberger: Three raids in a three-month period!
* The farm of Sharon Palmer: Agents raided her farm three times in 18 months over issues with her labeling of goat cheese. A computer and milk used to feed chickens and pigs were confiscated.
* Manna Storehouse: An Ohio food club that has been raided over licensing issues. According to Grist, "Armed law enforcement officers actually held a mother and eight young children being home-schooled at gunpoint for several hours while they searched the home and food storage areas."

Canty's film also includes the raid at the Faillace Farm in Warren VT, which is an award winning sheep's milk cheese facility. In this bizarre case, the USDA incinerated healthy sheep for fear of mad cow disease, despite the fact that sheep are not susceptible to mad cow.

Raw milk drinkers and sellers finally filed suit against the FDA earlier this year, claiming the banning of interstate milk sale is unconstitutional. The case is currently pending, while the violent crackdowns continue...

Why Raw Milk is Superior to Pasteurized Milk

While the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warns that raw milk can carry disease-causing bacteria, what they completely overlook is the fact that these bacteria are the result of industrial farming practices that lead to diseased animals, which may then in turn produce contaminated milk.

They make no distinction whatsoever between disease-riddled factory farmed milk and the milk from clean, healthy, grass-fed cows. One MUST be pasteurized in order to be safe for consumption. The other does not.

Believe me, you definitely avoid r drinking any raw milk from a conventionally-raised feed-lot cow! But drinking raw milk produced by grass-fed cows from clean, well-run farms, on the other hand, is actually far LESS dangerous than drinking pasteurized milk.

In fact, not only does raw milk contain good bacteria that are essential for a healthy digestive system, raw milk also offers protection against disease-causing bacteria!

Mark McAfee, owner of Organic Pastures, the largest raw dairy in the United States, performed the following test: He inoculated pathogenic contaminants such as E. coli, Listeria and Salmonella into his raw milk, and into pasteurized milk.

In the raw milk, none of the pathogens survived because the natural bacteria were able to protect the milk. In the pasteurized milk, however -- in which the bacteria and enzymes have been destroyed -- the pathogens were able to take over.

To think that pasteurized milk is safer (even if you don't believe it's healthier) than raw milk from a healthy, grass-fed cow is simply not true.

Factory farmed animals are raised in concentrated feedlots that are absolute hotbeds for dangerous bacteria and viruses, and they're fed an unnatural diet of grains, which creates a much higher level of acidity in the animal's stomach that E. coli bacteria need to survive.

As for the "evidence" that raw milk is dangerous to your health, there have been more than 16,500 confirmed cases of people getting ill from pasteurized milk, or about 412 cases per year, while only about 116 illnesses a year are linked to raw milk, according to CDC data.

Why is raw milk being vilified when statistics suggest it's nearly four times safer than pasteurized milk?

How to Identify a High-Quality Producer of Raw Milk

Getting your raw milk from a local organic farm is one of the best ways to ensure you're getting high quality milk. If you're thinking about purchasing milk from a small farmer, it would be very wise to visit the farm in person.

Look around and ask questions, such as:

1. Does the farmer and his family drink the milk themselves?
2. How long has he been producing raw milk?
3. Are the cows clean?
4. What conditions are the cows raised in?
5. Are there any obvious sanitation questions?

Additionally, look for these general conditions:

* Low pathogenic bacteria count (ie does the farmer test his milk regularly for pathogens?)
* The milk is quickly chilled after milking
* The milk comes from cows raised naturally, in accordance with the seasons
* The cows are mainly grass-fed
* The cows are not given antibiotics and growth hormones to increase milk production
* Cows are well cared for

If a cow is covered in filth and manure, stinks, is wet and cold and doesn't look particularly comfortable, that could be a warning sign that her milk is less than ideal for raw consumption, even if it's from a small, local farm.

Looking for Raw Milk?

As demand for raw milk continues to grow, it will, hopefully, become easier and easier to come by. In Massachusetts, for example, the number of dairies licensed to sell raw milk has grown from 12 to 23 just in the past two years.

If you're still unsure of where to go, you can locate a raw milk source near you at the Campaign for Real Milk Web site. You can also look here to find out the legal status of raw milk in the U.S. state or country where you live. The Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund (which helps farmers that have been raided) also provides a state-by-state review of raw milk laws.

A sad, sad occasion when you have to buy raw milk as pet food.

Just who are these people who would deny nature? Why oppose the use and consumption of raw dairy, raw honey, un-heated/refined oils? Why process every single food? Irradiation, pastuerization, homogenization, hydrogenation, etc. It absolutely RUINS the food and destroys it's nutrient content. Worse, and few understand this, processing denatures the food. It removes the living essence of the food. There are essential energies in food, imparted by the sun. They are vital to good health.

Raw, unpastuerized butter is one of the most healing foods on the planet. Try finding any.

Would still contain lactose, so it wont be good for those folks.

Raw milk contains all the enzymes you need to digest the lactose. These enzymes are killed by pasteurization, homogenization, etc. I've had raw milk and being lactose intolerant, did not have any problems with it. Try it for yourself, though it is expensive and hard to find.

I've had lots of raw milk in my teenage years. You'll get fat, though!

And boy, does it go bad fast.

This is good, as the milk is ALIVE. Exactly as it should be.

I wonder if the cows mind...

Milk was meant for growth. This is the way a mother feeds her young because the young is not ready to feed themselves yet. Why humans continue to drink milk as adults is another good question, but I already know the answer is due to conditioning. The FDA is a con game. Its only interest is to over feed the masses so they can treat them with their drugs (win/win). With that said…why aren’t people drinking human milk instead. I’m sure the nutrients are much more beneficial and specially formulated than cows (or other animals) milk. Maybe this is one of the main reasons why so many kids are overweight….looking like cows. I mentioned this a few people and they all thought it was disgusting idea. They were like " I'm not drinking milk from someone I don't know". But they will rather drink from a animal they don't know either, whom in most cases I'm sure is very unwilling and tired of giving up her goods. It’s all a game, recognise...

I think cows (and goats--whose milk is actually better for us) who are treated with kindness and compassion and allowed to range free are probably quite happy to contribute in their own way to our well being.
There is a wealth of information on Dr. Mecola's website about the benefits of raw dairy, if you have doubts.
Here are a couple of links:

I was vegan for a number of years but when I discovered I was developing osteopenia, I started eating dairy again. My bones are in much better shape now, even though I can only get, for the most part, pasteurized organic dairy and not raw.
It's a personal choice and a question of what benefits one's particular body type.
The other really important thing is that we continue to HAVE A CHOICE!!

Hi there onawah...

The FDA lies for profits; they will get on the Tele/radio and tell you anything. They know about the placebo affect. The body is an amazing self healing machine that only works properly when the mind is calibrated correctly. Meaning, if you think you need something (because the Doc says so) then you certainly will need it, literally. The power of the mind is greatly underrated. The world is controlled by a hand full of puppet masters, with their hands full of strings. Entanglement, or shall I say confusing is bond to happen. Knowing that things have gotten a bit out of hand (so to speak). I suspect the few that have managed to severe the strings are inspiring some who are still being strung along. Even more reason why TPTB want to depopulate, they need that control and will use every way to keep it.

I’m truly sorry to here about your ailment, it’s really all mental thou. The constant consumption of such things can also build up a dependency, or in the least create complications due to altering the body with enzymes and other things from the milk of other species. Sometimes I think that I’m very blessed (or maybe because I choose to be). Ever since I stopped putting animal products into my human body it has become stronger, and the process has also aided my mind into becoming more Humane. The vibrations/energy of death and stress no longer builds or maintains my temple/body.

There are always alternatives. Coconut milk, rice and oak make great milk substitutes. But, as I mentioned, it’s all in the mind. The illusion of life is governed by beliefs, and the choices one makes will mode their future…here and after…the trick is to not let others make our choices for us. We need to know the difference in what is actually fact, and what is presented as fact. With out dedicated unbiased research and experimentation we cheat ourselves… To get the best results out of anything you have to give it the best you have to offer…including sustenance.

Be careful consuming or being a part of anything negative because it will become a part of your construct. You are what you eat…stress and all. The way we all were taught to live was a shrewdly designed plan to keep us blindly acting like savages, keep this up and we will never see the harm we created for us as individuals and the whole. People suffer, whine and feel down because they don’t see any harm in being what they are…what they ate, what they were taught to be like…

It`s tough to find healthy food nowadays anywhere on earth since pollution spreads from acid rains and polluted air to every corner on the Earth...
You would have no idea how we eat bad thinking it`s healthy...Still there are some places where people try their best to produce best quality food.
When I was just a kid I tried raw milk and got to say it`s awesome! But cows were fed by fresh green grass on mountain slopes where the nearest little city was 20 miles away. Nearby river is so clean that tiny red lobsters are there and you can bow down and drink the water directly from the small river.
I don`t know now is it the same for a lot of years passed since I was a kid...But I am pretty sure it`s still better than average.

I think a lot depends on an individual's genetics and body type. Some animal products do seem to be good for certain people, whereas a vegan diet is fine for some. I am well aware of the mind control process and the motivations of vested interests. What concerns me most is the preservation of freedom as well as the humane treatment of animals. While I do not meat for reasons of compassion for animals, I do not feel that domesticated animals used for milk or eggs, if treated humanely and lovingly are being mistreated.

Great thread thank you.

Here's some not so nice info:

A powerful exposé of the dangers of Monsanto’s genetically engineered (rBGH) milk,

and its no-holds-barred conspiracy to suppress this information.

rBGH (recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone) is a genetically engineered, potent variant

of the natural growth hormone produced by cows. Manufactured by Monsanto, it is sold to

dairy farmers under the trade name POSILAC. Injection of this hormone forces cows to

increase their milk production by about 10%.

Monsanto, supported by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), insists that rBGH milk

is indistinguishable from natural milk, and that it is safe for consumers. This is blatantly false:

* rBGH makes cows sick. Monsanto has been forced to admit to about 20 toxic effects,

including mastitis, on its POSILAC label.

* rBGH milk is contaminated by pus, due to the mastitis commonly induced by rBGH,

and antibiotics used to treat the mastitis.

* rBGH milk is chemically and nutritionally different than natural milk.
* rBGH milk is contaminated with rBGH, traces of which are absorbed through the gut.
* rBGH milk is supercharged with high levels of a natural growth factor (IGF-1), which

is readily absorbed through the gut.

* Excess levels of IGF-1 have been incriminated as a cause of breast, colon, and

prostate cancers.

* IGF-1 blocks natural defense mechanisms against early submicroscopic cancers.
* rBGH factory farms pose a major threat to the viability of small dairy farms.
* rBGH enriches Monsanto, while posing dangers, without any benefits, to consumers,

especially in view of the current national surplus of milk.

The risks of cancer to consumers and particularly their children, especially those enrolled in the

Public School Lunch Program, are undisputable.

The book is a unique resource on rBGH milk. It presents Dr. Epstein’s trailblazing scientific

publications since 1989, which have played a major role in influencing other nations, including all

of Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan to ban rBGH milk. The book also presents:

the author’s editorials and letters to major newspapers, and correspondence with the FDA,

Congressman John Conyers, and other key members of Congress and the Senate.

Epstein also details evidence of interlocking conflicts of interest between Monsanto and the

White House, regulatory agencies, and the American Medical Association and American Cancer

Society. He also details evidence of Monsanto’s white collar crime; the suppression and

manipulation of information on the veterinary and public health dangers of rBGH milk; and

evidence of Monsanto’s “Hit Squad,” which attempted to stifle and discredit him.

Of compelling interest is the story behind Fox Television’s firing of Jane Akre, a veteran journalist,

following her in-depth interview on rBGH with Dr. Epstein, his subsequent day-long deposition

by Monsanto on her behalf, her subsequent litigation against Fox, and Fox’s successful counter suit.

Monsanto’s corporate recklessness, compounded by FDA’s complicity and refusal to require

labeling of rBGH milk, more than justify the rejection of any assurances of its safety. Of further

interest is the critical relevance of this information to the ongoing growing concerns and debate

on genetically engineered foods, including irrefutable evidence discrediting the “trust us”

safety assurances of Monsanto, and other industries.

I feel you onawah,

But, do you think the chicks will hang around giving up their eggs if there wasn't a chicken coop confining them. I'm almost positive if any animal (domesticated or not) was giving true freedom they will not offer their eggs/babies, or milk. They would travel as far away from humans as possible...or at least until they become humane again. Farmers with livestock have fences for a reason...I'm sure freedom for the animals did not even crossed their minds...

Three times every week, Jan and Jeff King load 300 gallons of milk in a refrigerated truck, delivering to more than 150 homes around their family's century-old dairy farm. Their grandfather did the same until stopping in 1961. Now Jan and Jeff are taking up the task.

After many requests from neighbors for fresh milk, the Kings bought an old truck and began taking orders. Customers are thrilled to have milkmen once again.
