View Full Version : Gut Responses vs Rational Concerns

Good morning Avalon, the Earth says hello ...

With everything that's been said so far about what may or may not transpire over the rest of today, I would like to add a comment that addresses an important point that some of you are missing. And that is this. What really does the Simpsons video give us? An opportunity to prepare? Calculated misdirection? A package of fear for a population running low on supplies? A sign of things to come?

In short, is the Simpsons' clip better associated with feeling and gut responses ... or with thought and rational concerns?

We've already had the surreptitious Simpson's clip of Sept. 21, 1997 (??) where forewarning was in plain sight, at least, in retrospect. In light of the earlier Simpsons' clip, I put the following questions to you ... (1) is it really irresponsible (emotional) to try and warn people of the potential deadly message in teh new Simpsons' clip (using any and every means available and announcing at any frequency)? (2) Is it at all responsible (rational) for us to take a casual attitude wrt this new Simpsons' clip?

IMHO, I think the stronger association is with thought and rational concern. I also think that stepping off the pedal before the weekend concludes, is tantamount to a nap in the crow's nest. Plenty of time for sleeping on Monday, even with egg on one's face. Whatever game TPTB are playing with the new Simpsons' video, we have no choice but to participate ... and precisely because of the dots connecting the old Simpsons' clip to 9/11/2001.

:typing:

ps: FWIW, I've not alerted anyone in my friends or family circle except my younger sister and my best friend ... but only because those two happened to phone me (for other reasons). I have posted links on Facebook. To me, this is the best response I can make. There are too many people to warn; and if I miss warning someone, I don't want to spend the rest of my life thinking I had played PicknChoose with people's lives. But really, at this stage of the game, those who are aware of the new Simpsons' clip, are aware for a reason, namely, their vigilance about 9/11/2001 truth. Equally, those that are ignorant of the new clip, remain so for the reason of their denial of 9/11/2001 truth (e.g. ostriches burying their proverbial heads). Either way, justice is served and I don't have to play PicknChoose. Life will go on one way or the other.

Must be my age sneaking up on my.. I seem to be having problems with this concept of 'Simpsons as prophecy'.

I keep expecting someone to discover that if you play the clip backwards it ways something like,
"Homer's been killed in a bloody car crash."

Blast my irreverent soul!
