After watching an half hour long interview with Rickards I got the feeling he is a doom and gloom fearmonger just trying to make a buck off the current poor state of affairs in the US.

I would suggest that Mr. Rickards is a "mouthpiece."

Following Martin Armstrong has been very educational, and he has his trusty computer, Socrates. Socrates is capable of analyzing all cycles at once, apparently delivering info way beyond human ability. Socrates says there will be problems in the 4th quarter of 2015. Gold will rally at last.
