"Disengagement is cool now, you're not supposed to care", "cool is armor", "I give myself permission to be uncool" ~ Brenne Brown:

This reminds me of what David Icke (who I respect very much) sais here:

You will and do get criticized, some people who are associated with you ("friends", "family") may become embarrassed (or even more embarrassed!) by you...

I wonder what the origins of it being uncool to care is. Could be a mind control thing. Sounds like something Dracos would be appeased by...

Sign me up for the "uncool" list. Very likely, sign up this entire forum membership for that list! :)

Reminds you of : 'cremation of care'
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cremation_of_Care
It's an 'un-cool concept' entirely where human lives are concerned , more so its meaning is being so often gravely misunderstood
This "cremation" symbolizes that members are banishing the "dull cares" of conscience.[14] At the time the script was developed, the primary meaning of the word 'care' (< O.E. cearu, "anxiety, anguish") was synonymous with 'worry', having more negative connotations than in modern times when it tends to be associated more positively with compassion.
Goodness can , unfortunately , also take a shape of mad gun . People can be madly good to someone special to them while ignoring everyone else .
There's a spiritual and worldly side to everything .
Caring too much can be intrusive . Also caring the wrong way . When people say 'stop caring about it' it usually means you should . Unless you are smarter than they are .

it is the sound of things...
uncool to be caring, does not sound so bad
So uncool is knowing and caring or enthusiasm
and cool is apathic and ignorant or indifferent
(that sounds as bad as it really is doesn't it?)
then who is a fool?
those who want to be cool!
Do you feel cool to be a fool?
