Next News Network - Youtube - Censorship?

It looks like Youtube has taken down Next News Network channel. This clearly must be the magic censorship wand disguised as a policy violation. They must have touched a nerve with one of their recent reports.

It surprises me because they are an alternative news media channel that has been pretty professional and consistent. I wonder if and when the channel will be restored. Here are some screenshots. Anyone want to wager a guess which story got them taken down?

and Avalon is serving to be more like a cartoon circus, same as MSM, just following deaths of music stars (Joe Cocker? that thread is on fire, nice).

I'm not familiar with Next News but actual censorship of news is criminal IMHO. However, I'm not sure exactly what makes you see it "clearly being magic censorship", as there's nothing clear about it and it is best to get the facts first before posting, which may be why people didn't join onto the thread.

Arc, I get your frustration, but judging members or whoever you consider to be the "inner circle" for not latching onto your thread is not the route to go. You kind of overreacted to nothing. Members here are pretty discerning and want backup before jumping in.

Btw, several members are active in one way or another against censorship and surveillance and a myriad of other modern insanities. They may chose not to be rabid about it here, though, because there are other places that may be dedicated to these causes, so perhaps more result-producing. Plus, and unfortunately, most of us are used to seeing alt Youtube channels getting tossed about (Dutchsinse comes to mind...). The victim usually shakes it off and starts up again. It sucks but it happens.

What is needed is an uncensorable alternative to Youtube that is run by itself as a standalone. And while we're at it, an uncensorable internet that is free of government tampering, but then that's another thread!

As for Joe Cocker...many of us here grew up listening to Joe Cocker. None of us are groupies (that I know of!), but many of us have an emotional connection to him, his music and that era in general in one way or another. Maybe it is just nostalgia for when we were naive believers in the system. Whatever the reason some may have for mourning his loss, it is their reason so it is valid and that is the wrong thread to criticize. (btw, Avalon is the LAST PLACE you're likely to find star-struck droolers.)

We post on Avalon because we want to share and we do so without expecting anything in return, but it is rewarding if it helps somebody or if it stimulates conversation. There may not always be takers. Or maybe there would be but this week people are just busy baking cookies or volunteering or whatever...
