Science behind remote control of the brain with light

This interesting TED talk is a presentation (18' video) about controlling behaviour of flies using both DNA modifications and light. The experiment involves flies genetically modified to develop light triggers on certain neurons, and then using light beams to control them.

Now I'll do some speculation, joining a couple of dots. I remember reading about how a lab-engineered virus (maybe H1N1) could be a mean to spread some DNA into every human infected. What if that DNA is designed to cause neurons in some parts of our brain to develop triggers sensitive to external stimulus like electromagnetic waves (light, radio, etc), as shown in the video? That way we could be quite succesfully controlled using satellites. If these modified neurons are carefully placed they could fire emotional reactions of any kind, and the control could be targeted to a single individual, or to a wide area like a whole city.

Wood, I actually think that is a very fair speculation, with theories I have about different cultures and where we came from I doubt it could work in the same way for all of us. Imagine if europeans had a slightly different dna or genetic makeup to say for arguments sake ` chinese, then we may not all be affected in the same way if such a controll plan was actually being put in place. I actually think we have slightly different makeups so this in itself may make targetting a certain race or culture a sure fire way to manipulations if such a thing existed.

IIRC the DNA difference between humans is really low and it does not affect the main ways the body works usually, but just details. The same way drugs tend to work for all humans I can see how a virus could be crafted to infect certain types of neurons (recognising them using the chemicals in that area of the brain, or the proteins in the cell membrane), and then inject the DNA payload to construct the trigger, and it would work for most people.

I agree it might not work for a percentage of the population (some might die, some might not be infected, some might be infected but not affected at all, etc), but I think that people would not belong to certain races but that they'll be evenly spread around the world. The actual plan will probably involve killing the people not controllable :)

Of course you may have a point and they might be targeting somehow just certain races and planning to get rid of the others...

In this other talk about how the brain works it is stated that we, the human species, share the overall structure of the brain, even when the details change. This enables communication, understanding, since we share the model of the world and how it works.

Therefore it is possible to target certain blocks of neurons responsible to certain emotions (pain, fear, pleasure) to control us since they are located in the same areas for all humans.

Another option apart from the virus with DNA payload is that of nanorobots designed to get into certain neurons, but I think there is no tech available at the moment for that.

Hey Wood, you know that I favour Consciousness and Love, as creation tools on my path in life.
Those two are, I believe, the most powerful tools to be able to resist and neutralise mind control,
the use of micro-organisms and electromagnetic radiation through satellites and other devices.

Consciousness and Love are able to transform mind, emotions and body, by the capacity of vibrational change.
The Siddhis, that are well known in India, use these capacities.
And so does a shaman, performing a Rain Dance: he's so in tune with the elements of nature,
that he is able to communicate with the WATER element, creating the conditions for rain.
This is possible through the use of loving identification, being ONE with water.

The amount of energy, for resistance towards a physical or technological enemy,
is the same amount of energy that it's "maker" or "owner" feeds on and THAT is exactly Lucifer's temptation:
technical enslavement and the use of controlled induced fear.

Look at the way many people, nowadays, handle their mobile phone: they haven't mastered it,
the mobile phone has mastered them. Young girls start screaming when they loose their mobile phone.
While mind controlled by the media, we "buy" into the fear of "not belonging", gathering all kind of "goodies"
This is enslavement of the senses as well as a materialistic attitude.

By giving up our dualistic point of view and see things as they are, objectively, we step out of competition and resistence.
I strongly believe that when the majority of human beings on this planet were able,
through their capacity to be Conscious and Loving,
to merely shrug off mind control and technical enslavement, which is Luciferian by nature,
we would be in a far better place and condition, very quickly.
This might happen sooner then we think, I believe. To me, discerning the Truth,
implies detachment of conclusions that are triggered by emotional responses.
The Luciferian web is immensely complex and far reaching into all levels of our present world...
and consciousness. Thanks for starting this thread, Wood :) this brings me further in my investigation of Lucifer.

During all of Earth existence there's radiation coming from deep space, the stars, the moon, the Sun,
even the Schuman resonance of the chore of this wonderful planet, lady Gaia, influence our EM field.
A Solar Flare and it's impact on Earth's EM field can be huge and send people into a frenzy of madness or depression.
Only the form in which reality presents itself changes and this form, I believe, is a mirror of our state of consciousness.
Our existence is a back-and-forth moving process of evolution in our consciousness and capacity to love,
expressed in the world around us. I think that, in that aspect, there's really nothing new under the Sun :)
We, human beings, hold the key to the door of Peace and Harmony on Earth in our hearts, through the use of Free Will.
And we've come to the completion of an experiment, in using that Free Will, I believe, nearing 2012.

They can achieve this by making us watch TV or modern media all the time .
They make various stuff to trigger the behavior. That`s why I don`t watch TV for the last couple of years.
It came as a spontaneous decision for I felt that I am wasting my time.

usual thing with scientists and thier research grants is part of the condition of that grant is they have to submit thier findings to the ones that put up the funding , then people who have lots of money but do not necessarily share the same morals as the scientists have in thier hands interesting scientifically validated information on a wide range of sometimes highly specific areas , tell a scientist he's looking into the cause of cancer and exploring the human immune system and he'll feel all proud and do his best even staying after hours to follow a hunch , along the way finds some new breakthrough information that fills in gaps in thier understanding of how the body and the immmune system works, he gets credit , but the ones that provided the funding get "ownership" of all research data found on "thier time"


so then they too now have a deeper understanding of how the immune system works , what certain things effect it etc. etc.

Yes, I agree with you, Beren, my tv went to the second hand shop, in 1998. I always felt silly about having a tv and made it up,
by placing curtains in front of the screen, similar of a little theatre, opening it's curtain and start the play of Jan Klaassen en Katrijn,
as we call them in Holland :) That's certainly how I feel about what tv offers nowadays, all puppets in a theatre.....on strings!

My view on how this can work was:
1. Design a piece of DNA that causes neurons to grow structures sensitive to electromagnetic radiation of whatever frequency.
2. Design a virus that targets neurons in certain parts of the brain (like the area that controls fear reactions).
3. Spread the virus (or even better, deliver that through a vaccine).
4. Use whatever sources of that EM radiation to fire those neurons at will (e.g. devices placed in buildings, police cars, helicopters or satellites).

It might work well even if not for all people (failures in the DNA or virus) and even if the results are a bit crude.
