Lloyd Canning has based his artwork on visions associated with his extraterrestrial encounters.

The 33-year-old British artist claims that he was first abducted ten years ago while driving home in a van he had just purchased. During the journey he recalled witnessing a large round, shining object hovering in the sky above the road.

"As it passed over I was completely awestruck and I froze, I couldn't understand what had flown over me," he said. "It was a massive object, with no wings, and flew over without any sound."

Several days later Canning started to feel compelled to paint strange images that kept appearing in his mind. Before long he was 'receiving' these images on a regular basis and has since painted numerous works of art based on what he now believes to be a form of extraterrestrial channeling.

"Ever since that first sighting I have had these crazy visions that just come over me," he said. "When they happen it's like I don't have a choice - I just have to paint them."

Despite the unusual nature of his work however Canning's paintings have proven very popular and he has showcased them at several exhibitions and conventions.

"It's something that I think I have to tell people about, I think I was chosen because I was an artist, and they know they could channel through me," he said.

What the artist says about his work.
Art for me is simply a way to keep myself sane. I feel I have so much to express, I get a build up of energy and I just have to go crazy in my art studio until I collapse. My late grandfather was an artist and my father is an artist so art has been in my life since day one.

All my paintings are hand painted using acrylics over many layers. Ideas literally come to me like a train hitting me head on. I then turn into a painting machine and can't relax until it's finished.

When a piece is completed I'm completely exhausted both mentally and physically, it drains all emotions out of me and I often even dream I'm actually in my paintings.

British Artist "Abducted by Aliens" Admits Hoax

British painter Lloyd Canning, who made tabloid headlines when he announced last month that aliens were using him as a medium to communicate with Earth, has stunned the public with another proclamation: it was all a lie. Shocking, we know.

The Telegraph reports that Canning, a former scaffolder who took up painting psychedelic sci-fi scenes told media outlets that since 2005 he had been visited by aliens six times, and the strangers were projecting ideas onto his brain and imploring him to share the projections with his fellow earthlings.

"Ever since that first sighting I have had these crazy visions that just come over me," he told the Mirror, one of the publications to consider Canning's story newsworthy. "When they happen it's like I don't have a choice—I just have to paint them."

He went on to describe the encounters with his unusual visitors and his subsequent urges to paint, explaining that "UFOs are not necessarily aliens, but instead could be beings from a parallel universe visiting through wormholes or portholes, or, they could be time travelers from the future."

These are some ET inspired , imaginary landscapes , in reality they're large oil on canvas paintings , most of them may be sold till now and the young friend who created them works as floor carpenter ( he would not be able to make living and feed family by painting alone )
He's never complained of abduction experiences but we came to know each other on his visit to Dharamsala where he came to study Tibetan Buddhism .
I later asked him about an ET connection that was almost palpably surrounding him and he showed me his paintings .

They have great energy in real time . Some of those landscapes reminded me of something rather intangible , like a repeated type of vision of planet /planets unlike this earth i had as a child but barely remembered it now ,
some with strange and beautiful shaped trees and flowers , and beings subtle like a net , almost like a dream , living their lives in another ways ..

Thanks . You can see more of them on his webpage though not all are listed ( many pieces missing , just from glance ) .
Libor is friend of our friends . He had rather tough life and difficult personal history but he's very talented in several directions , very intelligent person but total non-conformist ,
it would take ages to explain how he's . He works very fast with great precision , like a machine, talks to no one for a month , then goes to pub and drinks because he's depressed . He has angelic wife ( named Maria ) who suffered through all his genius ,
I've not seen them since 2007 actually so can't say how are they faring but the last i've heard about them was he's been ill a lot , with pancreatic cancer as a result of long life alcohol consumption .

Oh well .

Some things do give sense to limited number of people , I suppose . I like to recall this snippet of W. Herzog movie "The Wild Blue Yonder'' .
It's an eerie weird movie with storyline fitting exactly into the middle of all ET-conspiracy theories , it was even filmed with help of real NASA crew of the STS-34 mission (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STS-34) and it has beautiful music . There's a special connection in the movie for me as well since it was filmed in the years following my 2002 Bodhgaya encounter by Werner Herzog who was in Bodhgaya 2002 ( and created a documentary out of that : The Wheel of Time (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJZAb830qEc&spfreload=10))

Yet , I know perfectly that I'd hardly understand the message of the movie - or its beauty- without knowing 'the feeling' .
