I think I am awake now :p

It has been a lot of years of truth seeking, a lot of distance to the information presented to me in the external world, a lot of going within, a lot of prayers and a few extraordinary events taking place in my life, that came totally as a surprise, but were undeniable and overwhelming. Today I came to the conclusion that I think I actually might be awake now, if not so yet then at least I must have made great progress towards that. It feels great, but now comes a time when I need to help awaken the people around me.

- Jesus Christ is my lord, all of my prayers are heard and responded to, I have immediate protection wherever I go, in whatever I do
- Unconditional love is the key, the most important thing for a human to learn to master
- The world is corrupt
- UFOs/ETs exist
- This world is unfortunately not free from darkness
- The cosmos is founded on a principle of unconditional peace and love
- The cosmos is infinite, we are infinite beings
- I have been brought here to this earth because I am needed here and I wanted to
- The "soul mate" phenomenon exists and is real
- There are multiple realms where consciousness can exist at least as real as here on this earth
- The cosmos is a greater miracle than I am able to imagine
- I am on a soul journey

I hope of course that you also feel that you start to be very much awaken now, if not please look into some of the powerful insights above.

Love and peace to ya all, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

From my experience being awake goes through phases. Just when I feel I am totally awake something happens to awaken me further.

These are all great insights on the profundity of the universe...except this one. With all due respect, I feel the need to challenge your claim to being fully awake. I am happy that you have come to such a realization, but it is important for us all to understand that we are perpetual students and that there is always more to learn, to refine, and to grow. ;)

I love and appreciate the teachings of the character of Jesus, I really do! I live by the Golden Rule every day. But I also love the teachings of Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Henry David Thoreau, and many others who advocate the same ideals that Jesus spoke of. But apparently their lack of supposed "miracles" disqualifies them for being revered to the same capacity. As far as "miracles" go, the universal Law of Cause and Effect seem to contradict the nature of "miracles" that people hold onto, which is an important thing to understand to be awake.

Irregardless of the validity of the miraculous nature of the character of Jesus Christ, it is of my opinion that bowing down to anybody in subservience under the banner of superiority is far from being truly "awake." It is one thing to admire, to respect, and to honor, but it is whole new level to call somebody a "lord," which really is no different than using the terms master, owner, or boss.

If one is to fully awaken to their sovereign nature, then it is imperative to know the fundamentals of knowing what it means to be one's own lord of their own mind, body, and spirit.

I don't have a lord.....why would I need one? I have a feeling that it's my galactic family looking out for me. I keep them very busy.

There are resemblances of being awake and then there is ......... AWAKE!

Each resemblance seems more real then the last. The question to ask oneself is, is this a resemblance?

I agree with most of her list.
Jesus, he has been so over used and manipulated for so many negative purposes it is hard to really tell if he was alive and what he did. I am done with all religious organizations. Most probably all of these leaders were probably here for positive reasons but then they get used to control people. I believe in the creative principle and I know it works in the world. That is enough for me.
All souls are everyone else's soul mates, special soul mates is just another idea that enslaves people to look outside of themselves. It works.

Thanks all for sharing your thoughts on this topic! I can still sense that there is a lot I still cannot remember and that I am not fully living my passions yet to the degree I am probably designed to, so in that way I am asleep still, but I realize that I am a different more awake person now than I used to be in the past. The awakening process in my case has happened mostly through spiritual guidance and direct experience, especially by Jesus. Jesus showed me that ETs/UFOs/Orbs exist out there and that helped a lot in my awakening process, I turned to Jesus for an answer and he showed me the truth so that I could see it with my own eyes and not have to rely only on some stories, pictures/videos and probability calculations.

I realize that a lot of people don't accept Jesus here, but I myself have seen him the experience happened when I was only 12 years old, I already posted it here so no need to repeat it. I don't believe in any religion but I know what happened to me so I will never deny him, so maybe I am not awake either, but I have been a seeker of the truth since then and I do feel awake, thank you for posting this Whitelove and good luck with trying to wake up your friends, but be prepared to lose some of them. fond regards gardener2 x

You're doing great, WhiteLove. The more aware we become, the more awakened we feel. It seems to me that we are all waking up and Jesus is an example of a man who was rather aware indeed. The teachings of Jesus are profound and there is nothing wrong with what you wrote. It is so because you believe so and that is something Jesus taught us, "Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done." Jesus is a wonderful teacher and will lead you to see you are your own lord. All the best on your journey, exciting times!

I second this. I recommend coffee and perhaps a bite to eat before going to work, 'cuz there's plenty of it to be done!

WhiteLove, good on ya. You're acknowledging the progress along your path. You are hearing the melody of your own song.

Please allow me to be presumptuous enough to toss out a few tidbits here.

We are always awakening, even while sleeping. The human is always moving that direction even when it is moving away from the center, like the path of a labyrinth.

There is always a new level to awaken to. New mountains to climb (how exciting!) Sometimes these mountains look very different. The climbers of these mountains are no less awake than any other. There is a tendency to judge the validity of another's "wakefulness" based upon whether or not that wakefulness resembles our own. Don't worry if others do this to you. Just stay with your heart and listen to your own song and truth.

You have listed awareness of certain truths and knowledge. These are great things to understand, but don't mistake knowledge for "awakening". A hermit upon Wudang Mountain can "awaken" without these knowledges. (It's not my intention to start a discussion on what "awaken" means. That's always kind of an endless debate.)

Listen to your heart. Your inner voice. There's nothing sillier than people debating whether or not each other are awakened. The term means notHing anyway. It's just a label. The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao. So cast off such labels and soar wherever your soul wants to go!

Blessings to you on your journey, WhiteLove. May it be fruitful and delicious.

I am still waking up even after a decade. I get rid of one belief I would have put money on only to see it shot down in flames, soul mates, the pope (he is a good guy) the president (leader of the free world), JFK, and CIA (running drugs are you Crazy). Up is down and black is white. Brittany, Madonna, all down in flames. It has been very hard at times. If I find out Neil Young is a Satanist, I just don't know what I am going to do with myself.
Speaking of which:

the matrix has illusions within illusions , this is my opinion , and not to offend anyone's personal beliefs , people at Christmas celebrate a man named Jesus , who's real name I believe was Immanuel , they believe he was a god , I believe he was one of the seven prophets mentored by ET's as all the prophets are , then enter an elf wearing a red suit they call St. Nicholas with flying reindeer that visits the entire world in one night , and everyone participates in the illusion...

Jesus Christ is my lord, all of my prayers are heard and responded to, I have immediate protection wherever I go, in whatever I do

Love your post WhiteLove and all the interesting, compassionate and humorous replies, so I want to share a few aspects of my own continuing (spiritual) awakening process.

I grew up in a very conservative and catholic village. Fortunately my parents didn't stick to it, but going to church on sundays was mandatory and I hated and feared it because of the crowd, the strange smells and sounds and the old women in black muttering and sighing, not understanding a single word. But through all my desperate early years - lonely, misunderstood, estranged - I was used to locking the bathroomdoor behind me and talking to and crying for Jesus. When I was 18, I watched the movie Jesus Christ Superstar many times, crying a river. I sat near a small chapel on a hill for months with the deep longing: I have to go to Palestine. So I took all my savings from a summerjob (in cash) and went to the travelagency to book the flight to Tel Aviv (no internet then). On the way I had a coffee in a coffeeshop and there all my money was stolen. Gone.

Then came the years of feminism and a strong and longlasting still ongoing connection and relationship to a power I call Goddess, Mother. I was her beloved and guarded child, until one day being asked about my relationship to her I answered out of the blue: I represent her. I started recognizing all female beings as a representation of the Goddess. As years went by, the distinction between male and female (power) became useless. Meanwhile when she appears in my imagination, I feel that we merge. I become, I am the Mother, the Goddess.

But at the few instances when I found myself in great pain, in panic I called for Jesus. Maybe that is because he was my first love. Maybe it is memories from many lives. Those two energies are so different and at the same time they are one. Simultaneously I use the terms universe, source, spirit, angels, god. I don't care about any religions or 'historical' persons. Call it galactic family or creative principle, where is the difference. That's all different layers, different approaches, just words, we all love to play the word's game, but that's another topic.

PS: I did not find anything that implies 'Jesus' meaning boss, master etc. Do you really mean 'lord' or is it just a matter of speech habits -

After some thought, I have to admit a bit of disagreement with the title of the thread, which dovetails with the "If you meet the Buddha" thread.

Given the incredible layering of perception and development, can one ever be said to have 'awakened', or is one merely experiencing a state of 'awakening'? Can one ever be said to have 'fully' achieved, or is one engaged in the process of 'achieving'?

To say that one is 'awake' implies that there are no further boundaries to cross, and no emergence beyond a certain perceptual limit. While there are obvious milestones, there is always further to 'go'.

The term 'awake' then, would be slightly mis-applied; 'more awake' would seem to be more accurate.

I'd say 'more awake' in perception but outside of perception, awake is awake.

Perception is what we have in this box called reality so 'more awake' is correct when conveying the experience of being awake.

(But that is just me thinking outside the box)
