This reminded me of a movie I saw recently, Ragnarok. In it they had a stone with very similar carving.
It was a low budge movie but well made, I liked it.

This is a cool stone close to my home, it has a dragon and a snake:

To me the cross on runestones are the same symbol as the zodiac - its a calander - a symbol for time.

I live in a small city with the most Viking artifacts in the world - and my village name is Orm-sta -"snake village"

Here are an old bridge with stones

Hello OP, thank you for the beautiful pictures of the stones.

I've wondered for a few years if the Midgard serpent (?) represents gravity, and the cross of course represents a heavenly body, i.e. sun/earth interaction with the serpent representing the magnetic fields;

this would imply a strong altho abstract understanding of astronomy on the part of the ancient Norse,
which makes sense because of the long nights in the Northern lands.

thank you so much for this :)

p.s. I see the dog in one picture, could it be a Sirius reference?
sadly that star is set to explode soon, into a class 2 supernova,
and any civilization near it will perish or leave.
