Are we seriously just suppose to think this is a mere coincidence???? OF COURSE WE ARE!
Islamic State Hacks CENTCOM Twitter Feed as Obama Talks Cybersecurity
As President Barack Obama addressed the nation regarding national cyber security efforts, hackers claiming to represent the Islamic State (IS) took over the Twitter account of the Pentagon division in charge of the Middle East.

The "false flag" event is becoming so common lately that basically nothing in the MSM is real any more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hackers known as Cyber Caliphate took over the CENTCOM Twitter account Monday afternoon. The hackers changed CENTCOM’s Twitter avatar and cover photo to a hooded man clad in black with the words “I love you ISIS.”

President Obama on Monday unveiled a series of new bills designed to ratchet up cybersecurity protections in the wake of a massive data breach at Sony Pictures, warning the growing problem of online attacks "costs us billions of dollars."
"This is a direct threat to the economic security of American families, and we've got to stop it," Obama said Monday during a speech at the Federal Trade Commission. "If were going to be connected, we've got to be protected."
Obama unveiled the;
Personal Data Notification and Protection Act
Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights
Student Digital Privacy Act,

Is this all just a prank????????????????? They have a weird way of admitting the truth! lol!
The Department of Defense is characterizing the hacking of its U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Twitter and Youtube accounts as a “cyber prank”.
“Right now there is no evidence that any DoD system, any DoD computer and any DoD network has been compromised,” Defense spokesman Col. Steve Warren told reporters at the Pentagon. “This is little more, in our minds, as a cyber prank… It’s an annoyance. We wish it wouldn’t happen, because there are better ways for us to spend our time.”

Hollywood's Sony getting hacked is serious business, a threat beyond comprehension! but the Pentagon/Dept. of Defense getting hacked is just a "cyber prank"...or an "annoyance"!!!!!!!
Go figure!
Things are getting so ridiculous it's beyond pathetic!

It's pretty clear the Sony hack was done by disgruntled laid off employees, but the USG had to make political hay out of the situation (as per Rom Emanuel- don't let a crisis go to waste), so they had to blame N Korea.
I'm wondering why they are minimizing this attack. If they were the ones behind it they would have had their script ready. That they are downplaying it so much makes me suspicious it was a hack they weren't behind for a change.

Hollywood's Sony getting hacked is a really serious business because
1- They tried to make propaganda movie with huge budget but came out with very bad movie, which no one would want to pay it at the theaters but with hacking story and putting it to the internet for free view, at least they had a big audience.
2-Behind the hacking story, there are a lot of skeletons in the email ,/ tweeter records which would blow their(Zionist producers,/owners and companies) untouchable private life.
3- Pentagon hacking doesn't cause any financial lost.

Is this the work of ISIS or the work of what Peter Dale Scott calls ‘the deep state’? Who really possesses the power and ability for such technologically advanced cyber warfare? The NSA. The ‘deep state’… Keeping government minions in line with the NWO agenda while frightening the public into supporting more wars against ISIS, is a strategy that comes to mind
What sweeping and all-powerful cyber warfare and hacking ability you have,” said Little Red Riding Hood her voice quivering slightly. “The better to scare the sh#t out of you into giving up more of your liberties, my dear,” roared the wolf

This is ridiculous. Not a prank, probably a prequel to a major inside net attack...this was to prepare us as well as show vulnerability so they can amp up net controls, ask for more $, distract from other shenanigans...

Frankly, I'm surprised and disappointed that the agencies even use Twitter.
It's kind of like inviting PeeWee Herman to a business meeting.
What did they expect?
Social media, just like the social butterflies it's named for, is mutable and changes often. A product popular online in 2000 isn't going to be popular in 2015. Yet the government treats its stakes in these laughable communications companies as if we were treading the Holy of Holies!
3+ years ago on NN blog I said, the agencies who do not distance themselves from the 'Net will be demolished by it.
Social media is about trends and "going viral"... it never has been about stability.
Just by using a product like Twitter, Facebook, etc. the government gives itself a very gaudy and dangerous impression of being mutable, vulnerable, and irrelevant.
@_@
just my two cents!!!

If someone hacks Sony it's called "cyber-terrorism"....if some hacks CENTCOM is called "cyber-vandalism". Perhaps it's just me, but, I see this as beyond ridiculous, especially considering they are claiming people associated with ISIS did the CENTCOM hacking!
Pentagon Labels YouTube/Twitter Hacking 'Cyber Vandalism' (http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/pentagon-labels-youtubetwitter-hacking-cyber-vandalism_823725.html)
ADDED:
Seriously now folk's? People claiming to be friends of ISIS Hacking CENTCOM and directly threatening members of the US military and their families is just a simple act of vandalism?????? and not an act of terrorism????
You've got to be kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The full text of General Austin's letter is here:
This week, hackers claiming to be aligned with the extremist group ISIL took control of CENTCOM’s Twitter and YouTube accounts for approximately 30 minutes. They posted tweets with information obtained from the accounts and they also posted threats against military members and their families.
I recognize that this has caused significant angst among family and friends who are understandably concerned about their loved ones’ safety. I want to personally reassure you that we are taking this matter very seriously and we continue to take all possible measures to keep our personnel safe.
With respect to the alleged breach of our Twitter and YouTube accounts, The Federal Bureau of Investigation is in the process of conducting a full investigation. However, you should know that the CENTCOM network was not compromised and no classified information was obtained by the group. Also, as yet, there have been no credible threats made to U.S. military personnel or their families.
That said, we do not take these threats lightly, and we will do what is necessary to mitigate them. Unfortunately, the threat of ‘lone wolf’ attacks by individuals who align with or are sympathetic to radical Jihadist elements exists today, and we’ve seen this demonstrated with the recent tragedies in Paris and before that in New York City and Ottawa, Canada. We must all take the necessary precautions and be highly vigilant to protect against these threats.
Our people are our most important assets and our top priority and that includes our family members. And, we need to make sure that we are looking out for one another. All of you are an important part of our CENTCOM team, and I want to thank you for your many contributions and your strong support. If you need anything or have additional concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to your service member’s chain of command or the headquarters.
Be safe!
GEN AUSTIN

Even the General relates this hacking to terrorism but, refuses to use the word "terrorism"....
there is plenty to read that is between the lines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
