this is a great storm for incredible photos, if you run across any good ones, please toss them in...

this is a shot from Japan, not Maine... a few confirmed it is an old shot, but still a great picture. a friend up in Canada says they are getting pummeled and are planning 3 days before roads will be passable again...

almost hit 80 today in San Diego...

I miss those storms...

this moose was looking for a warmer shelter from this storm...

Nope! That's an old picture.

But still, we had 17C (63f) here way up north in Calgary on Sunday and another record today Vancouver was close to 20C (68) ... I'm lovin' this winter so far! ;)

... Too bad for the people out east ... :P :P

This photo is not from today and I strongly doubt it's of Maine. I saw this same image while perusing Pinterest a week or two ago for wintery images.

This picture is at least a few years old and is apparently from Yuki-no-Otani in Japan, not Maine.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B8Y1f68CcAAu0Wc.jpg

If you googled Yuki-no-Otani you will see many more rather spectacular photos...

That first image is from Tateyama Kurobe in Japan. I remembered seeing it years ago.

Well here's Eastern Canada the last couple days ... While the northwest side of north America enjoys record high temps for most this winter ... poor easterners ...

The ice age is here. It will get worse from here on. Going to be hard to breathe when the snow buries houses completely. I don't think I'd want to be in Canada right now. Here on the front range of the Colorado Rockies, we are on the edge of the jet stream between the warmer west and colder east. We get both alternately.

Ice age? Canadians call it "winter". :P :P
