I absolutely feel that internet access should be affordable for everybody, but I think the outraging part of this video was actually that children that are so super young have so much internet homework and that they'd get F's in school if they don't do that. If schools find it important that children do a lot of online stuff, they should provide the resources to do that at school.

But stats is a bit off: it's 52 million (17 per cent) with no internet access at home when counting by population and not households

Agreed here. My daugter school help provide parents with either a loan or provide the very poor with the school laptops. So everyone has the same access.

But I know that it is not the case for most schools.

Unfortunately not in my area up North there is no service like that, in my house we have 3 laptops and an old tower just in case... :rolleyes: My kids call him the ''dinosaur'' Students cant do nothing without the internet.

Some good online Charter schools (virtual schools with virtual classrooms) provide laptops, books and internet, all at no cost.
