Many Escanaba, Michigan residents awoke Monday to find themselves without power after an explosion at a nearby utility plant substation. Around 1:30 a.m. Feb. 2, an explosion at a Power Plant caused widespread power outages across the city, according to the Escanaba City Electric Department.

Some residents have stated the United States Government has taken a bizarre interest in the city near the Canadian border. One of the witnesses stated that an incredible beam of light "shot straight down from the heavens"'.

The local media attempted to explain away the light as a beam from an oncoming train, most witnesses were not buying this explanation and they believe some type of cover up is in the works. Oddly, the fire produced by the explosion spontaneously extinguished.

Even though there were many witnesses that took multiple videos the mainstream media has been quiet about this catastrophe. Escanaba is located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

This is one. In Michigan. And no, it's not part of a power plant explosion, though the authorities will probably say things like that. This is only the beginning -- and it's a good thing, so relax. However, it should be noted that... THAT'S A LIGHT BEING. An entity. A highly placed one. They're not exactly ETs, though they do come from somewhere else. Can someone explain the process/mechanics behind the thinking, that such an explosion at a power plant can produce such a well focused beam of light? and without even a flicker to the beam!

Maybe they are scanning for the missing nuke missiles stolen a few years back. They have to be below ground if they have equipment to peer through walls. Maybe the threat of Cheney's is being taken seriously along with the whistle blower that stated someone wanted to detonate in US? I don't know, but it's all got to come out and not one stone, unturned.

This beam of light is actually caused by ice crystals in the air that reflect light in an upward and downward direction. Have you ever seen certain street lights do this? the ice crystals are from the steam that comes from the nearby papermill they are carried by the wind and fall a distance away. this is a very common event and the brighter the light source the brighter the reflection, the brighter the beam. drive by the Grain & Grape on a cold night when there is a west wind and watch the lights from automobiles. My tribute to the masterpiece.

Akira (アキラ?) is a Japanese manga series, written and illustrated by Katsuhiro Otomo. Set in a post-apocalyptic Neo-Tokyo, the work uses conventions of the cyberpunk genre to detail a saga of turmoil.Initially serialized in the pages of Young Magazine from 1982 until 1990, the work was collected into six volumes by its publisher Kodansha. The work was first published in an English-language version by the Marvel Comics imprint Epic Comics, one of the first manga works to be translated in its entirety. Otomo's art on the series is considered outstanding, and a breakthrough for both Otomo and the manga form. Through the breadth of the work, Otomo explicates themes of social isolation, corruption and power.

An eponymous animated film adaptation was released in 1988, shortening the plot, but with its structure and scenes heavily informed by the manga and its serial origins. The manga takes place in a vastly larger timeframe than the film and involves a far wider array of characters and subplots.

A criticality accident is an uncontrolled nuclear chain reaction. It is sometimes referred to as a critical excursion or a critical power excursion and represents the unintentional assembly of a critical mass of a given fissile material, such as enriched uranium or plutonium, in an unprotected environment. A critical or supercritical fission reaction (one that is sustained in power or increasing in power) generally only occurs inside reactor cores and occasionally within test environments; a criticality accident occurs when the same reaction is achieved unintentionally and in an unsafe environment. Though dangerous and frequently lethal to humans within the immediate area, the critical mass formed is still incapable of producing a nuclear detonation of the type seen in fission bombs, as the reaction lacks the many engineering elements that are necessary to induce explosive supercriticality. The heat released by the nuclear reaction will typically cause the fissile material to expand, so that the nuclear reaction becomes subcritical again within a few seconds.

In the history of atomic power development, 60 criticality accidents have occurred, including 22 in collections of fissile materials located in process environments outside of a nuclear reactor or critical experiments assembly. Although process accidents occurring outside of reactors are characterized by a large release of radiation, the release is localized and has caused fatal radiation exposure only to persons very near to the event (less than 1 m), resulting in 14 fatalities. No criticality accidents have resulted in nuclear explosions.[1]

There was speculation although not confirmed within criticality accident experts, that Fukushima 3 suffered a criticality accident. Based on incomplete information about the 2011 Fukushima I nuclear accidents, Dr. Ferenc Dalnoki-Veress speculates that transient criticalities may have occurred there.[28] Noting that limited, uncontrolled chain reactions might occur at Fukushima I, a spokesman for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) “emphasized that the nuclear reactors won’t explode.”[29] By March 23, 2011, neutron beams had already been observed 13 times at the crippled Fukushima nuclear power plant. While a criticality accident was not believed to account for these beams, the beams could indicate nuclear fission is occurring.[30] On April 15, TEPCO reported that nuclear fuel had melted and fallen to the lower containment sections of three of the Fukushima I reactors, including reactor three. The melted material was not expected to breach one of the lower containers, which could cause a massive radiation release. Instead, the melted fuel is thought to have dispersed uniformly across the lower portions of the containers of reactors No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3, making the resumption of the fission process, known as a "recriticality", most unlikely.[31]

Many criticality accidents have been observed to emit a blue flash of light.

The blue glow of a criticality accident results from the fluorescence of the excited ions and atoms (or excited molecules) of air (mostly oxygen and nitrogen) falling back to unexcited states, which produces an abundance of blue light.[citation needed] This is also the reason electrical sparks in air, including lightning, appear electric blue. The smell of ozone was said to be a sign of high ambient radioactivity by Chernobyl liquidators.

This blue flash or "blue glow" is often incorrectly attributed to Cherenkov radiation. It is a coincidence that the color of Cherenkov light and light emitted by ionized air are a very similar blue as their methods of production are different. Cherenkov radiation does occur in air for high energy particles (such as particle showers from cosmic rays)[32] but not for the lower energy charged particles emitted from nuclear decay. In a nuclear setting, Cherenkov radiation is instead seen in dense media such as water or in a solution such as uranyl nitrate in a reprocessing plant. Cherenkov radiation could also be responsible for the "blue flash" experienced in an excursion due to the intersection of high-intensity gamma radiation with the vitreous body within the eyeballs of those in the presence of the criticality. This would also explain the absence of any record of blue light in video surveillance of the more recent incidents.

Historically, the major drawback to DEW has been the necessity to operate in clear weather. If the DEW is placed in space to conduct space-on-space attacks, this deficiency is eliminated.

If the DEW is on the ground conducting earth-to-space attacks or in space conducting space-to-earth attacks, 2025 technologies for boring access holes through clouds and other obstructions may eliminate this deficiency. The recently completed New World Vistas Directed Energy Volume report by the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board indicates, "the ABL will probably be the first practical and effective directed energy weapon to be deployed."55

This will be the springboard to operating lasers through the medium of air and space. By 2025, DEW systems will likely operate in space and from the ground. This will give us the ability to negate objects in the atmosphere and in space. Five directed energy concepts were explored in this study.

Glenzer and colleagues used the world's largest laser array—the Livermore lab's National Ignition Facility—to heat a BB-size fuel pellet to millions of degrees Fahrenheit.

"These lasers are pulsed, and for a very short amount of time"—one ten-billionth of a second—"the power they produce is more than all the power generated by the entire electrical grid of the United States" at any given moment, Glenzer said.


The laser demonstration means scientists are now much closer to triggering nuclear fusion in a controlled setting—something that's never been done before and which is necessary if fusion is to be harnessed for energy.

A company in the United States trains operators of nuclear plants in how to defend them under terrorist attack.

It organizes squads of "terrorists" armed with laser guns and dispatches them to storm the site. Plant security guards, also armed with laser guns, defend it. The rules are that if a laser beam hits someone, he must fall. Will the terrorists seize the plants, or will the guards retain control?

The training, known as "Force on Force," is conducted at least once every three years at nuclear power plants under the initiative of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

JAPAN DILEMMA

In February this year, an official in charge of emergency measures at Japan's Nuclear Regulation Authority visited the NRC to outline new plant safety standards scheduled to be drafted in July. The official asked for reactions.

One pillar of the new standards will be anti-terrorism measures. If a plane hits a nuclear power plant, all power sources could fail. To prepare for such a scenario, nuclear reactors should have decentralized power sources for their cooling systems, built in different places. A second, back-up control room is also needed, at least 100 meters away.

But instead of leaving severe-accident preparation to the plant operating utilities to implement at will, the government should require by law operators to fulfill the measures.

Japan has already taken measures such as creating restricted areas and installing fences and security cameras around important facilities, measures based on the nuclear material security guidelines of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

However, the first meeting of the Nuclear Regulation Authority to review nuclear security measures, held on March 4, revealed haphazard checking of the identities of plant workers.

First, Japan needs to understand that other nations see it as an "underdeveloped" country in terms of nuclear security.

But on the other hand, it is unreasonable to import the U.S. approach and to station armed private security guards at plants. Therefore, what kind of methods should Japan use to respond to crises? It faces a dilemma.

Well I always love to take the alternate version of events rather than the media reported version, most alternate versions have people with inside knowledge of events not just speculated reports such as media versions. One thing we know is that there are definitely pillars or light appearing around the world. Witnesses say they came from the heavens. The media attempted to says it was a beam from a train??? Some have said it is reflected from crystals.. Authorities say it was part of a power plant explosion. One says that they are light beings coming down to "enjoy the show" which ever one that resonates in your reality will be your answer for now until the final truth arrives whenever that may be if you don't already know it in your hearts.
