Beginnings: According to Luke's mother, Erika, at first he simply named things Pam, then
started referring to when he 'used to be a girl'.


A five-year-old from Ohio has vivid recollections of being killed in a fire as a 30-year-old woman.

From the age of two, Luke Ruehlman from Cincinnati, Ohio has given strong indications that he remembers his previous life as a young black woman from Chicago named Pam who perished after she jumped from a burning building.

According to his parents he would often make references to being this woman by stating things such as "when I was a girl, I had black hair" or "I used to have earrings like that when I was a girl."

Luke even claims to remember the moment that his previous life ended and recalls the actual reincarnation process in which he was "pushed back down" to Earth as a newborn baby.

Incredibly, an investigation revealed that a woman named Pamela Robinson who lived in Chicago had actually died following a fire at the Paxton Hotel back in 1993, just as Luke had described.

The boy's case was investigated as part of a documentary entitled "The Ghost Inside My Child" in which an investigation team showed Luke a collection of images of women who were around the same age as Pamela, as well as one of her, and asked him if he was able to point her out.

To their amazement he was able to successfully pick out the correct photograph.

Hello Siblings,

Naturally, it's interesting that women might come back as men
(and presumably men might come back as women).
From a Jungian perspective, it's also interesting that a black person
might come back as a white person. It's interesting because the
Jungian theory of a 'Racial Unconscious' seems to be contradicted here.

The concept of "Racial Unconscious" suggests that our psyche inherits access to
a greater pool of unconsciousness specific to our racial group. This 'pool' provides
us with latent symbols, propensities, abilities, hopes and fears etc.

The analogy of an iceberg is sometimes used to depict the relationship between
the conscious and unconscious parts of the (Jungian) psyche. Only a fraction of
the psyche is consciously aware (visible above the surface of the water).
i.e. the bulk of a person's psyche is constituted by his/her unconscious mind.
And at least part of that bulk, according to Jungian theory, is racially specific.
So with that in mind, perhaps you wouldn't expect the souls of black people
to reincarnate as white babies (and vice versa).

Either the concept of Racial Unconscious is wrong, or my expectations based
upon it are wrong.

But for those of us willing to entertain theories of reincarnation and past lives,
this might give us all pause for thought... the next time you find yourself thinking
in sexist or racist terms. That person you're judging negatively because of their
race or sex... might have been you previously... or might be you next time around.
