It can be argued it goes both ways and Science , Science fiction and the medium
of the novel , movie , TV show and radio that is still popular drives each other
and the creative frequencies of the human being who bring these ideas . concepts
to life first in fiction than into reality......

This post is from the other thread....

I saw the trailer for this new scy fy adventure and thought the concept very
familier..Usual rags to riches adviserial plot with a 'Crash. bang, wallop' for the
average viewer. But with so many recent Hollywood plots taken from alternate
sources which is a rich source and visa a versa since HG Wells and Jules Verne and
with the concept of Prometheus and the up coming Star Wars franchise , this seems
to be plugging into the Annunaki , Draco , greys meme among others......Shaun
Bean first sentence says it all. ( Will Sean Bean last the whole movie ? or die as usual ..LOL)....

Jupiter Ascending is an upcoming space opera[4] film written, produced, and
directed by The Wachowskis. It marks their first return to original screenplays in
the science fiction genre since The Matrix trilogy.

The film is centered on Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis), a down-on-her-luck janitor, and
Caine Wise (Channing Tatum), an interplanetary warrior who informs Jones that her
destiny extends beyond Earth. Supporting cast member Douglas Booth has
described the film's universe as a cross between The Matrix and Star Wars while
Kunis named its underlying themes as indulgence and consumption

The film is co-produced by Grant Hill, who acted as executive producer on The
Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions and as producer on V for Vendetta,
Speed Racer, Ninja Assassin and Cloud Atlas, making Jupiter Ascending his seventh
collaboration with the Wachowskis. Several more longstanding Wachowski
collaborators since the creation of The Matrix films have contributed to the picture,

plot Edit....
Unknown to Earth's residents, life on Earth and countless other planets has been
seeded by families of alien royalty for the purpose of harvesting the evolved living
creatures once they reach a "Darwinian state of perfection" to produce a type of
youth serum that allows them to live forever.[When the matriarch of the House of
Abrasax, the most powerful of the alien dynasties, dies[9] her children Balem
(Eddie Redmayne), Kalique (Tuppence Middleton), and Titus (Douglas Booth) are at
war over the inheritance. Eventually a new heir comes to their attention: Jupiter
Jones (Mila Kunis), an unsuspecting Earth-living, unlucky caretaker of other
people's homes.Jupiter encounters Caine Wise (Channing Tatum), a genetically
engineered interplanetary warrior, who came to Earth to reveal that her genetic
signature makes Jones royalty and heir to Earth. Meanwhile, he has to protect her
from Balem, who put a bounty on her head and would rather harvest Earth than
lose it to Jones.

Yes, even if you are agnostic on the existence of E.T.s, there is a government cover-up. I am glad to know that there are people like Corbett who, despite their non-belief on the issue, can still bring us all a bit closer to the truth on matters E.T.

This is not, in my view, just a single event, that they are preparing us for.

Rather they have been, for the better part of a century now, and increasingly so, engaging humanity in a larger quest - to extract resources from elsewhere in the solar system.

A small part of this (though perhaps quite engrossing when it happens) may well involve a major false flag event, to help precipitate a shift from competing nation states to competing species (humans vs aliens), as a useful framework within which to hang many ongoing endeavors.

Astronomers consider sending radio signals to newly found habitable planets

Steve Connor Author Biography

‘A plan to beam powerful radio messages to possible alien civilisations on distant
planets has caused consternation among some scientists who believe it could spell
doom for humanity on Earth.

Leading figures behind the 50-year-old Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (Seti),
which uses radio telescopes to listen passively for unnatural signals from space, have
now proposed an “active” form of search known as Meti – Messages to Extraterrestrial
Intelligence. These signals will be aimed at the parts of the galaxy where Earth-like
planets and life may exist, based on the growing number of “exoplanets” beyond our
solar system identified by the Kepler space telescope, which include many in the
so-called “habitable zone” of a star.’

"It is a ball about the width of a human hair, which has filamentous life on the outside
and a gooey biological material oozing from its centre," Wainwright said, according to
Express.co.uk.

"One theory is it was sent to Earth by some unknown civilization in order to continue
seeding the planet with life," Wainwright hypothesizes.

That theory comes from a Nobel Prize winner.

"This seeming piece of science fiction -- called 'directed panspermia' -- would probably
not be taken seriously by any scientist were it not for the fact that it was very seriously
suggested by the Nobel Prize winner of DNA fame, Francis Crick," said Wainwright.

Panspermia is a theory that suggests life spreads across the known physical universe,
hitchhiking on comets or meteorites.

The idea of directed panspermia was suggested by Crick, a molecular biologist, who was
the co-discoverer of the structure of DNA in 1953. Twenty years later, Crick co-wrote --
with biochemist Leslie Orgel -- a scientific paper about directed panspermia

It now seems unlikely that extraterrestrial living organisms could have reached the
Earth either as spores driven by the radiation pressure from another star or as living
organisms imbedded in a meteorite. As an alternative to these nineteenth-century
mechanisms, we have considered Directed Panspermia, the theory that organisms were
deliberately transmitted to the Earth by intelligent beings on another planet.

We conclude that it is possible that life reached the Earth in this way, but that the
scientific evidence is inadequate at the present time to say anything about the
probability. We draw attention to the kinds of evidence that might throw additional light
on the topic.

British Scientists capture biological organisms they say ''Come from Outer Space''

ByJM2bnzD6M

Published on 19 Feb 2014

British scientists believe they have found evidence alien life after sending a balloon to
the edge of space. The team of scientists sent a balloon 27km into the stratosphere and
captured small biological organisms they say can only have come from space. The group,
headed up by astrobiologist Professor Chandra Wickramasinghe, claims the 'seeds of
life' have been transported between planets by passing meteors.

Professor Wickramasinghe, 74, and his team from the University of Sheffield sent a
specially designed balloon into the atmosphere above Chester during the annual Perseid
meteor shower. The balloon was carrying sterile microscope slides which were only
exposed to the atmosphere at heights of 27km.When the balloon fell back down to
Earth the scientists discovered microscopic aquatic algae on the microscope slides -
which they say can only be alien life forms.Their findings were published in a paper
during the Instruments, Methods, and Missions for Astrobiology conference in San
Diego, USA, last month.

Prof Wickramasinghe said: 'Biological entities of this nature have not previously been
reported occurring in the stratosphere.

'The entities varied from a presumptive colony of ultra-small bacteria to two unusual
individual organisms - part of a diatom frustule and a 200 micron-sized particle mass
interlaced with biofilm and biological filaments.'

He said these findings were evidence for the theory of 'cometary panspermia'.

This states that the 'seeds of life' exist all over the Universe and travel through space
from one planet to another.Sceptics believe 'biological entities' captured in the
stratosphere could have been carried high into the atmosphere from Earth - and not
from space. But Prof Wickramasinghe said: 'The biological entities found are particles of
relatively large size and mass.

'By our current understanding of the means by which such particles can be transferred
from Earth to the stratosphere they could not - in the absence of a violent volcanic
eruption occurring within a day of the sampling event - make such a journey.

'If there is no mechanism by which these biological entities could be elevated from Earth
to the stratosphere then it must have arrived from above the stratosphere and have
been incoming to Earth.'

The Sri Lankan-born British mathematician, astronomer and astrobiologist is one of the
leading proponents of the theory of cometary panspermia.

Panspermia is Greek for 'seeds everywhere'.

The panspermia theory states that seeds of life can be spread through space from one
location to another. and that life on Earth may have originated through this process.
It requires meteors blasted from a planet's surface serve to act as transfer vehicles for
spreading biological material from one planet to another.

This has been a staple of ancient , Science fiction TV/Film and literature for a
long time......

Panspermia (from Greek πᾶν (pan), meaning "all", and σπέρμα (sperma),
meaning "seed") is the hypothesis that life exists throughout the Universe,
distributed by meteoroids, asteroids, comets, planetoids, and also, by spacecraft in
the form of unintended contamination by microorganisms.

Panspermia is a hypothesis proposing that microscopic life forms that can survive
the effects of space, such as extremophiles, become trapped in debris that is
ejected into space after collisions between planets and small Solar System bodies
that harbor life. Some organisms may travel dormant for an extended amount of
time before colliding randomly with other planets or intermingling with
protoplanetary disks. If met with ideal conditions on a new planet's surfaces, the
organisms become active and the process of evolution begins. Panspermia is not
meant to address how life began, just the method that may cause its distribution in
the Universe.

The first known mention of the term was in the writings of the 5th century BC
Greek philosopher Anaxagoras.Panspermia began to assume a more scientific form
through the proposals of Jöns Jacob Berzelius (1834), Hermann E. Richter (1865),
Kelvin (1871), Hermann von Helmholtz (1879) and finally reaching the level of a
detailed hypothesis through the efforts of the Swedish chemist Svante Arrhenius (1903).

Sir Fred Hoyle (1915–2001) and Chandra Wickramasinghe (born 1939) were
influential proponents of panspermia. In 1974 they proposed the hypothesis that
some dust in interstellar space was largely organic (containing carbon), which
Wickramasinghe later proved to be correct. Hoyle and Wickramasinghe further
contended that life forms continue to enter the Earth's atmosphere, and may be
responsible for epidemic outbreaks, new diseases, and the genetic novelty
necessary for macroevolution.

In a presentation on April 7, 2009, physicist Stephen Hawking stated his opinion
about what humans may find when venturing into space, such as the possibility of
alien life through the theory of panspermia.

“ Life could spread from planet to planet or from stellar system to stellar system, carried on meteors. ”

Extraterrestrial Life evidence - Panspermia theory on the beginnings of life on Earth

Extraterrestrial Life evidence - Panspermia theory on the beginnings of life on Earth

The idea that life on Earth came from another planet has been around as a modern
scientific theory since the 1960s when it was proposed by Fred Hoyle and Chandra
Wickramasinghe. At the time they were ridiculed for their idea -- known as panspermia.

We meet the scientists on a mission to get to the bottom of the beginnings of life on
Earth - from the team in Texas who are lovingly building a robotic submarine called
DEPTHX to explore a moon of Jupiter, to Southern India where they are investigating a
mysterious red rain which fell for two months in 2001.

According to local scientist Godfrey Louis, the rain contains biological cells unlike any he
had seen before -- with no DNA and the ability to replicate at 300°C.

Panspermia Theory:
In 1743 the theory of panspermia appeared in the writings of French nobleman,
diplomat and natural historian Benoît de Maillet, who believed that that life on Earth
was "seeded" by germs from space falling into the oceans, rather than life arising
through abiogenesis.

We must regard it as probable in the highest degree that there are countless seed-
bearing meteoric stones moving about through space. If at the present instance no life
existed upon this Earth, one such stone falling upon it might, by what we blindly call
natural causes, lead to its becoming covered with vegetation."

You're applying god like, saviour like qualities to these beings which I'm not sure is the best thing to be doing. We have to remember that they are just physical beings too. Granted many of them are going to be further along than we are, and I'm sure they know a great deal more than we, but they are not all mighty, all knowing saviours of the world.
