My Dog has disappeared... I've spent the entire day searching for him and I'm exhausted. I've implemented everything and even have bothered half the neighborhood in the search. I'm baffled how he got out in the first place as no one let him out and he was just gone. It's not even really like him to just take off even if he's outside unleashed. The most troubling part is he had his tags on and is extremely friendly with people so it seems like someone would have found him and called by now. He's a beautiful Euro Great Dane and is not fixed. so I'm scared whoever found him sees him as a financial incentive as he's worth a lot...

It's going to be quite cold tonight and Great Danes are not well suited for the winter.. I am very worried about him and am trying to stay calm.

I don't think of him as a pet, but my best friend. I know this is a long shot, but anybody who would like to attempt in finding him with me through dowsing, please let me know... you will be compensated financially greatly if it is successful.

It is very hard to make him hide with his size, don't worry

Sorry about what you're going through.

Since he's not fixed, it's possible that he might have found female companionship and decided to stay out a while. Many dogs I've known have done that.

I hope we'll soon read a post from you, telling us that your dog is back.

Call him! I mean, call him from your heart.

May he return very soon.

I hope your best friend comes home very soon. I will give my prayers for free.

My heart goes out to you and your best friend, BlueMuffin.

I'd second Daughter of Time's advice. "Call him! I mean, call him from your heart."

You're connected and he knows it. Feel the warmth in your heart while you send out a 'come home message'.

Good Luck

Those are great ideas, rgray222. I forgot about my friend's hunting dog, Ruby a springer spaniel, who got lost when they were walking in the woods. He searched until almost dark and couldn't see very far with the snow picking up in speed. So he left his hunting jacket by a tree. Early the next morning, he went back to find Ruby on the jacket.

I've contacted a friend for you but I'm not sure of the capacity in which he can help you just yet. There is a woman on facebook, she's a clairvoyant and shamanic practitioner. We follow each other on Twitter so I DMd her and will let you know if she replies. If you have a facebook account or a friend who does, you can reach her here (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Robin-Drysdale/205715706115953).

Update: Robin got back to me and said she has certain ethics she practices and offered to explain in email (aplogies for my ignorance, I don't know much about that), maybe it's got something to do with me asking.

Oh, blue muffin, my heart aches for you. I had to have my beloved Shunka, a Great Pyrenees, put to sleep two weeks ago and still grieve, plus, my lab disappeared last summer, so I understand your pain. I pray that you find him.

Sorry to hear that your dog is missing.

As for your request I dowsed to find out what happen to your dog and where he is.
Some people(probably someone that you know, friends) have him right now, owners of gray Ford Mustang,1967 from Ontario, Oregon.
Your dog is fine and miss you as well. Apparently they are staying now in motel unit and planning to go to Pennsylvania.
Their goal is to make money.

I hope this information will help you, but I can't guarantee this.

Wishing you fast finding of your beloved dog.

It's going to be quite cold tonight and Great Danes are not well suited for the winter.. I am very worried about him and am trying to stay calm.

I don't think of him as a pet, but my best friend.

We animal lovers feel your worry and concern Blue Muffin. In my experiences of having lost and missing pets, I echo what DoT and Running Deer have suggested - the calling him from your heart. We are linked and CORDED to our companions in metaphysical ways and I'm sure you know this. Again, from my experience, the hardest thing for us is to attempt to remain calm amidst the heightened emotions of loss. Some use various modes of prayer. Others use what is called the 'golden cord meditation'.

The purpose of which is, through your intense heart connection, to send your best friend 'messages' (telepathically if you will)...to calm him. For him to feel through this cording, that you are thinking constantly of him, that you want him to return home. If we can become calmer, we may be able to help our beloved animals remain calm in a very stressful situation. The most important part of this is to remain calm, often the hardest thing to do at times such as these. Utilize the purity of your heart connection and attempt NOT to project your fears or stress onto/into your visualizations. Easier said than done.

We are thinking of you and your dog. I pray for the best potential outcome for you both. That he is warm and will always be loved. Peace (and calmness) to your heart.

Wishing all the best energies to you and your friend/dog.
Follow the route you and he last walked, go to his favored place but make sure if your out he can still get in.
Dogs are wondrous in their knowledge of their surroundings.

For what it's worth: my immediate sense is that he's just gone walkabout (dogs sometimes do!) — and will return in a couple of days as if nothing has happened. But I'm really NOT wanting in any way to point to a false trail here. This is just what I felt I perceived straight away. Please do keep us informed....

This is helpful to know, pyrangello. My dog passed last April. For the last several weeks I find myself watching where I walk or tip-toeing around so I don’t wake him. It’s as though Wolfie never left but now he’s in vibrant health continuing on with our friendship. It crossed my mind that he lives with no veils and knows I’ll catch up soon enough.

Thank you all for your kind words and suggestions... Some people have told me i am "over reacting" and he's "Just a dog", but they fail to see how much he actually means to me. I don't have many close friends, and he's definitely my best friend. He's so funny and sweet it's ridiculous. Today is a new day and I'm not going to work or do anything besides continue to look for him. I use to think waking up from him slobbering or jumping on my head was a bad thing but I never missed you so much as this morning. Thank you all for your prayers and intentions, they mean a lot to me.

Rollo, Thank you for your attempt at dowsing but that scenario would prove quite improbable seeing as I am located in the Colorado area and he went missing just yesterday... However, that is the exact kind of thing is I fear may take place that someone simply sees him as a dollar sign. It's odd he wouldn't be noticed given his size which is why someone should of called by now. I'm having a hard time staying positive but will do my best as it will more likely attract a positive outcome.

Bill, I'd like to think you're right but he really does not tolerate the cold well and it is going to snow here again in the next couple of days and drop to around single digits. It wouldn't make sense that he would be gone this long.

I will keep you all updated...

Blue Muffin, it seems horrible to me that anyone would tell you "it's just a dog." It hurts like hell when one of our loved ones goes missing, and that sure includes our animals. What a beautiful guy he is!

A couple of thoughts -- which I'm sure you've already thought yourself but no one has mentioned -- Do you check your local Craigslist? I wouldn't put it past some goofy human to have him in their living room without checking his tags -- but checking Craiglist.

The other thought I had was contacting the police. As awful as it sounds, because of his value he could be considered stolen property, especially if he's pedigreed and you had plans to breed him. The police might actually like to have a case like that. Reuniting a beloved pet with his owner would be great PR for them.

Yes, I justed wanted to write that, if it's possible to report him missing. Surely, if there are animal rights, it must be taken seriously. You can even report a stolen bike, wallet and those are inanimate things. Try it.

Did you try the sweater thing, or other clothing you wore long enough and leave it there?

"It just a dog" :mmph:

Running deer , I've heard many times that are family members (pets or animals if you will pardon) will be the first to greet you when you see the other side.

Blue muffin, I have been on my own most of my life , never really knew the understanding of unconditional love, that is until I picked up my first puppy 12 years ago. I was always busy chasing the rabbit in business, money, success, ect ect blah blah blah I never had time for the most important thing to learn . Never had any kids, everyone says I would have been a great dad but business always came first, that is until I brought home a yellow lab 6 weeks old and 9 lbs, and oh what has she taught me.

Sooooooooo , that being said, this is what I do, in the past when I have found stray dogs. Take a photo of your dog and put Lost on it with a contact number and take it to all the gas stations in the area and post the picture, tape it to the front window of the entrance door so everyone sees it, run an ad in the newspaper with his picture as well with all of your contact info . I've done this many times and usually you will get a call from someone who either saw the dog or a family member or friend knows someone who is caring for the dog. One time I ran an add with a picture of a gorky in it after a week of taking care of him. The owner called from 30 miles away and said his dog had been gone for 4 months. Another time I found a dog in my town of 3000, put his picture of the pup on the front window of the gas station and had someone call me in 6 hours. Don't underestimate how many people go in and out of gas stations. Its a tremendous amount. Use the newspaper and gas stations , lets see what happens . :)

Blessings and safety sent out for your lost, dear friend BlueMuffin. I pity those that say "he is only a dog" because they have never known the purity, the simple love and the loyalty a friendship with a dog can bring. I am visualizing the reunion. Check with all vets and rescue groups nearby as well as animal control locations. Perhaps, signs that offer a reward in case someone is motivated by profit may do the trick.

also since you do not know how he got out of the house, check on your neighbours to see if anyone could want to make money out of your dog, the ones who seem to need money, and also anyone who has your key who may need money as well.

Although my feeling is more that he got out on his own to start with.

Another thought, BlueMuffin. Check out Great Dane Breeders in your area. If it is a profit motive they may seek to sell/stud him. There may be a Great Dane rescue group in your area, and they might have info about less than honorable individuals with a history of stealing dogs. I hate to cover these negative areas but we have to look at all possibilities. On a positive note, the fact that he is a pure bred will enhance his safety, even if it is for the wrong reasons.

I must say here that I have been raised with a Great Dane. I loved him so much that when he disappeared, I cried for days. He had been truly my friend and the friend of my siblings. We all loved him. He also protected us against bullies, thiefs, and our too adventurous friends.

Thank you all so much for your continued support and suggestions... I was feeling pretty down as the search has still been unsuccessful and not even one sighting has been reported, but some great ideas have got me thinking again and your kind words are uplifting. The Gas Station one in particular is something I haven't considered... I always thought most people pay at the pump now-a-days.

I'd be especially interested in the results of a group Remote Viewing sess, ans thanks for the info Jag(!), I'll certainly add it to my data. One pretty disheartening aspect is I've contacted a lot of "animal communicators" , initiatives, psychics and so forth so as to hopefully glean some kind of pattern and recognizable constants in information. Unfortunately, there hasn't really been any aside from the fact that someone has him. Not that I expect all such information to be completely accurate and line-up, but there should be some sort of similarity in the readings. I do believe such abilities are real, but there also a lot of fakes out there unfortunately...

Here are a few ideas that you may not have thought about! (http://www.reshareworthy.com/how-to-find-a-lost-dog/)
Good Luck

Yeah, this was another really interesting Idea that I gave a shot. Nothing seemed to turn out but then again it's been snowing quite a bit these past days(last thing I want) which would affect his ability to pick up the scent. I even had a trained tracker dog come out in attempt to pick-up his trail and nothing really materialized. : (

I used a form of Chinese divination and the result is quite encouraging. The oracle indicates that your dog can be found, may be before next Thursday. Though I am not an expert on divining, I do this often and my accuracy is enough to be beneficial. Good luck!

So sorry you haven't found him yet. My heart goes out to you.
A few other ideas:
A local radio station might help.
There is an excellent highly respected animal communicator who has found lost animals Pea Horsley of animalthoughts.com

Thinking of you both xx

Where are all our psychics???;)

Here we have this wonderful opportunity to exercise those psychic muscles and.......crickets.

Bluemuffin, my heart goes out to you. You will meet some of the most wonderful, kind, and interesting people here....but what you won't find are individuals with unique metaphysical abilities. Sorry guys, but someone had to put that limping dog of a notion to rest.

Hi BlueMuffin,
So sorry about your current situation concerning the disappearance of your beloved Great Dane. A few days after you first started up this thread which was when I first read it, I held a special meditation session asking where it is and saw a clear inner eye vision of some dogs in a pen with straw on the floor in what looked like a barn. When I saw that I heard a voice saying, "These are my children". The pen itself was made of metal.... not a mesh but gate-like.

But that information is hardly helpful as it's not giving any location for it so then I decided to do an EVP session. The info I first got on that a couple of days ago was that your dog is near a city by a river on a farm". Once again... not very helpful and the word "farm" was not very clear but that's what I thought the voice could have been saying.

Then today, I did another session asking about your dog and a very strong male voice came in saying "They found another dog". I loaded that EVP onto You Tube (that evp audio is playing 2x'x in this video):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuhX533LQUI&feature=youtu.be

Should add that another voice, but a much weaker one, stated that your dog will come back but am not sure if it just was "hoping" your dog will come back or if it, in fact, will come back. Another evp voice even said your dog is at your grandmother's but that one too was very weak so not sure what to make of that one either.

But the evp I uploaded to YOU Tube was so loud and clear, many times that indicates to me that whatever it's saying may be true.

At any rate, will post any updates on this should I get any other messages.

Deleted the audio clip I had here.... please refer to the You Tube video in my previous post.

As mentioned in my post before the last one, another evp voice that was male too stated that the dog will come back again. I listened to that part again and it sounds like it is saying "Their dog is going to come back again". On second listen it sounds like it's not just hoping it will come back again as in wishful thinking as it pretty much is stating that as a fact. Anyway, it may take a trained ear in evp audio's to understand that it's saying that because it's saying it very fast but that's what it sounds like to me. Put it on a You Tube video. (audio is played 2x's in video)
