So, what do you think this can mean to our health?

The video is here:

http://www.weather.com/science/news/smart-phone-makes-magnets-dance

Assuming it's a genuine video (and it looks genuine) I guess the weird movement is caused by the electromagnetic radiation coming from the phone's antenna causing the magnetic particles to attract to each other and shift about with the complexities of the signal.

It looks like a very convincing demonstration of how the coherer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1ohAfCdKvM)works, which was a tube of metal filings that 'cohered' into an electrical conductor when attached to an antenna to detect radio signals in some of the early radio experiments.

It's actually a very interesting demo and will no doubt spawn other videos demonstrating the same thing.

Just becasue the signals make the iron filings move in a creepy way doesn't mean they are particularly dangerous.

Other people will disagree regarding the safety of cell phones.

Edit: On second thoughts I think I and the sloppy journalists at The Weather Channel have just been taken in by the old magnet-under-table trick!
Sorry...

Very interesting finding Maia! Now, what if..what if throughout all our life we accumulate unknown substances in junk food or GMO we eat, fizzy drinks we drink, vaccines we get or air we breath in... and what if they react with our smartphones frequencies causing something to our bodies. Yet everybody on the street, in our place of work, gym, mall everywhere are literally glued to their phones. I know I'm speculating and I hope I'm wrong.

Sorry...

Try it. Get some iron fillings and put them next to your phone.
Then either get someone to ring you.. or ring out on the phone.
See what happens.

I've heard that many stockbrokers, who spend several hours a day on their cellphones, developed brain tumors next to the ear they use most when making calls. I know of a couple people myself who spent long hours on their phones regularly, and ended up with growths right next to their ear used in calling.

It's much safer to use the speakerphone feature, folks... and set the phone down if you can while web surfing. . The wireless frequency radiation is much stronger very close to the phone... and gets much weaker just a short distance away.

One easy way to test the radiation strength is to use an AM radio turned on and move it around your phone... and you can hear the radiation on the radio speaker very clearly.

Please be careful folks...

Blessings...

Whatever they are doing, I'm sure they are creating a near zero attention span in young, developing children.

Unfortunately these stones/crystals do not work. They have no 'shielding properties'. You'll notice the Intalia Company offers no proof, no results of their or anyone else's experiments. The mineral may well be exactly what they say it is, but that's all.

The only way to stop the electromagnetic radiation from leaking out of the phone is by putting it in a Faraday cage (metal screen). Aluminium foil will work, but of course no signals will enter or leave the phone and it will be useless.

Believe me, if these magic minerals had the shielding properties attributed to them by these pseudo-scientific sites, it would have made my life as an RF engineer a whole lot easier.

Nevertheless, do not underestimate the power of the placebo effect. Also bear in mind that expensive placebos work much better than cheap ones.

There will be forum members who disagree with me.

Just think of all the metals in our foods. Everything has Iron in it.

In one of Jim Sparks' videos, he was told by his alien abductors that they could form implants out of the metals inside our bodies. They don't have to go through the effort of placing them in our bodies anymore. Spooky.

Have you tried the floating your favorite cereal in water and making it follow a magnet around yet?
