I was involved in an alien visitation around 20 years ago that I wasn't supposed to remember, however after a few years i remembered the beginning of the abduction and then driving off after it was dark. It was several years after and a some medicinal marijuana use seemed to somehow spring a leak in the subconscious and here i am 20 years later suffering from PTSD, a form called hyperaurosal, were my adrenaline runs 24 hours a day, a permanent fight or flight scenario. It's been hell. I am curious if anyone knows if Dolores Cannons's technique would work for me, since its so deep in my subconscious?
Any help or knowledge on this would be really appreciated.

Wow, that must be hell. I can't even handle a ten minute episode. Although I don't have any answers for you I want you to know I will take this under advisement, and I want to welcome you to the Forum. May you find peace, at least for a few minutes.

If you contact Dolores Cannon's daughter in Arkansas (I believe she has something on You-tube), she can let you know of someone trained by her mother to use her techniques. Don't be shy, I am sure she would gladly help you.

There i s a list for you, I did level 1 in 2011 and loved it - done 30+ regressions with some amazing past lives and historic lessons. ETs are the best to regress to, not saying you will, but whatever is most important to your current life will be shown as the past life.
Regarding Mary J - I hope you know the different strains and how they effect you, eg indica is a sleepy calm stone, while sativa is a creative buzz.

age 39, look into a astrology thing called a 'pluto square'. It may be connected to this situation. Permanent non stop agitation, for about 1-1.5 years is not uncommon, and it happens at that age in life, depending on the birth chart. At age 39, you'd be coming into the tail end of it.
In my particular occurrence of it, I did not sleep for almost two years. I went into full bore kundalini activation and what the monks call 'the sleepless state'. Not sleeping for two years, is not a misprint or mistype. I was in very good shape and had learned to drop my heartbeat to about 40 during mediation, on a dime. But I never slept. Conscious the whole time, with breaks of a hour or so, for the body. Wired beyond belief (for most people who have no knowledge of such things).
Astrology follows the flow of time or time follows the flow of astrology, the operator for both is the same, so events of such nature will converge, as much as reality is a reality.

I don't know who Dolores Cannon is, or what her method might be, but for symptoms of PTSD (not as medical advice, but simply as what helped me), you might try the amino acid GABA (gamma amino butyric acid)
http://www.gammaaminobutyricacid.org/
You might also want to investigate another amino acid called L-methionine. L-methionine is necessary for protein synthesis, and it is a wonderful detoxifier:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methionine
The amino acids calm the physical symptoms of hyper-arousal/PSTD, but they calm the intrusive thoughts, as well.
p.s. I have PSTD from being in an abusive relationship. I am sorry that I have no help to offer for getting the memory out of your unconscious, though. PSTD really does make life a living hell.
p.s. L-methionine is the precursor to Sam-E, but much cheaper.
an addition: I cannot be sure, but I think L-methionine helps the body to metabolize the excess adrenaline that is running around in your system, while GABA is a natural sedative. In my body, GABA gives me a feeling of calm and serenity, but with no drowsiness.

Go get some acupuncture, especially effective for this is "five element" acupuncture. I had the same problem.

I took one of Dolores's classes, and it's certainly an interesting technique. Could work for you. There are so many processing tools, I'm sure you will find one if you keep looking. Good luck, and welcome to the forum :)

There is also a non-hypnotic technique that was actually touched on by Freud. He found that sometimes a traumatic incident will not be relieved because there is an earlier, similar incident that must also be addressed. It's a very simple technique once one learns how to use it. It takes two people to do it and it does not use hypnosis. I used this technique to help numerous abductees and I used the techniques to relieve the trauma of my own abductions as well. I documented these memory retrieval sessions in both of my books, THE PROGRAMMING OF A PLANET and THE EYE OF RA.
You might want to check out Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), which uses this technique.

Soul Survivor, I can very much relate to your post. I also am a survivor of 20+ years of PTSD and know all about the hellishness of this. I've experienced abduction and many terrifying encounters with some extremely negative entities. I've been treated with many different holistic modalities, including past life regression, spirit releasement and Holographic Kinetics.
I can only offer advice based on my own experience and do not want to dissuade you from your path but I've actually found that some of the less esoteric methods are far more effective and particularly somatic therapies which work directly with trauma in the body. One of the primary experiences of people with PTSD is that they're very much head/intellect based and not at all in touch with their bodies. Indeed, our bodies can often be in a state of 'lockdown' due to the initial 'freeze response' when the body initially experienced the trauma. Alternatively, as you mention PTSD sufferers often find themselves in the polar opposite state: constant hyper-arousal which leads to all sorts of adrenal and chronic fatigue type problems.
I've found Cranio-sacral therapy to be of huge help in this regard which is a therapy which works with the cerebrospinal fluid and allows the body to physically 'unwind' the trauma from a deep level. To understand the process of somatic therapies generally I'd highly recommend getting hold of Bessel Van der Kolk's book 'The Body Keeps the Score: Mind, Brain and Body in the transformation of Trauma'. Also, the work of Peter Levine and David Bercelli is very useful. There's a great lecture by Van der Kolk here on youtube:

Again, I don't want to discourage you from your current path but sometimes its useful to have as many arrows for our bow as possible. Wishing you all the best :)

To add to this ...
I believe L-Theanine might even be better, or another consideration in this case. L-Theanine is what gives Sencha tea a bit of a "relaxing" effect, despite the caffeine content. Theanine has the effect of encouraging the brain towards an Alpha brainwave state - similar to what some relaxing Baroque music might do. I use it regularly to help take the edge off of any stressful situation, and it helped me kick smoking as well by softening the stress that comes with cravings. It's not a miracle cure, but does take the edge off.
I have tried GABA as well - one of the items you mentioned, but I had a bit of a bad reaction to it -- insane flushing in the head and neck and some discomfort - I tried again at a different time and had no issues, so who knows what that was about.
Also if you are adrenal fatigued, you may want to address that with some adaptogens (Siberian "ginseng", Rhodiola, maybe licorice extract, holy basil, etc)
Good luck!
