What Bullmanure is this?

"you should focus on whats happening around you immediately"
"you'll be more happy if your'e only worrying about what your'e doing right at this moment!"
"if you're mind is wandering you're unhappy!"
ie - you dont need to worry about what's going on in the world around you, keep watching TV, keep shopping and getting all excited about 2 movie stars having a tiff - you dont need to worry about how the world is being run and how we're turning you more and more into perfectly controllable slaves!

"I wonder as I wander...." maybe it's a sign of folks awakening and the MSM/PTB wants people to stop their wandering/wondering minds and go back to their "sleeping" robotic state? You know, "don't worry, be happy...and focus, slave!" mentality.

Pretty soon they will say that the wandering mind is another form of psychosis or syndrome.
Guaranteed, they will have a pill for that just around the corner.
Yes, they want us to go back to sleep.

Hmm.. let me be controversial then and say I agree with this. Up to a point.
I've said for a while that there are limitations as to what we can know and also our sphere of influence.
If you narrow your sphere of influence to exactly what is happening around you, that makes perfectly good advice to me and will cut out a whole heap of nervous tension.
You cannot control who Wayne Rooney sleeps with, anymore than you can really do anything about government policy.
However, if you really believe in a universe operating at a quantum level, there is probably lots you can do with a focused mind and focused intent.
So I agree with the suggestion. Buddhists have known about being 'mindful' for centuries. Us modern thinkers face a whole different challenge. With so much to distract us, how will we ever focus on a single useful action ?
Surely it's easier to just read another thread and get a little more angry/frustrated or fearful, than it is to put down the whole mess, consider who you are and what your life is about, and focus your intent in a quiet space.

Yes, Kula, I fully understand what you are saying and I must humbly agree that you are correct; it is absolutely necessary to conduct one's thoughts to constructive thinking, otherwise one ends up with a lot of confusion which could lead to a psychotic state, I'm sure.
I do believe that focused actions/thoughts are important even in small tasks, but I also feel that the video in the OP is presenting a normal phenom as something "abnormal" and "pathological". If it were so, then the message appears to be "don't think out of place". And if that were the norm, I feel that many would stop thinking on their own, as a whole. Or not?

Of course, we should not turn a blind eye to events happening in front of us. Nor should we not speak of events that come to our knowledge.
For example the tale of 1000 people injured in Germany is a heinous event. No one should ignore that. But still there is a limit to our sphere of influence.
People should do what they feel called to do. As long as it doesn't hurt anyone in my opinion. In the end, this life for me is about finding out/remembering my true nature and living according to that.
What I notice is that too much information swamps the mind and shuts out the heart and the soul from talking.
We love our heads, don't we ? I mean, we're sooo clever ! But I intuitively feel that anything embracing the head at the exclusion of the rest is a seduction, pure and simple.
If you want slavery, there it is for you, right there, in front of our noses.

The statement "Wandering minds cause unhappiness" seem backward. Unhappy minds wander. As do creative minds for that matter.
I've had jobs were a wandering mind was a salvation. There's nothing that would engender happiness in focusing on green beans moving by on and inspection belt.

Of course the PTB have a vast array of methods and tools to maintain their following by the masses. This is their audience and a great deal of their efforts will be directed to keeping this so, which is maybe a clue as to the measure of the true power of the PTB, and they are weak. Many of their best minions are really only glorified salesmen, selling you an idea that itself plays to an alternative agenda. Here they want their audience to feel that thinking for oneself is a type of disease. One that you certainly don't want your doctor writing you a script for.
I don't have a doctor, but I pretend I am when I need one.
I must say that the PTB have put on a great show these last few centuries, it will be sad to them go. I will be looking for a new source of humour...

Worrying is normal, its part of your defenses. We worry because subcousiously we know we/and everything is connected. It's a warning device for recognizing potential danger. With that said, it is most benificial to focus on your immediate surroundings, what you can control immediately, the positive thoughts you created will protect you from the hazards your worrying has alerted you to...
