Why did director & writer Ridley Scott (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000631/) decided to delete some scenes out of this crucial moment in this epic movie?

Ridley Scott among few other directors is in the "know". His brother wasn't killed just for no reason. Don't really like him, but he used to make some great movies.

Never fails to amaze me that all these allegeded alien encounters promote the visitors in their various forms all speaking English:-)
If I were advising Ridley Scott, I too would have deleted that scene as I would argue, the audience would cheer the death of Weyland for his arrogance which in turn would have reflected in a public hatred for Corporate leaders and would have potentially been mimicked in real life.
Yeh, I know, I'm a party pooper lol

In a previous Alien movie , it was set in a buried pyramid
in Ant Arctica......Ok it was not a good spin off , but may of
held a message ? Or just a good Scy - Fy plot. The trouble
is both are now intertwined imo.
