A message from a YouTube representative addressed to Crowder’s half-Asian lawyer Bill Richmond Wednesday notified the team their episode titled, “Special Guest ALEX JONES on ‘Great Reset’ & Joe Rogan TRIGGERS Leftists AGAIN!” was offensive to the gay community and constituted an actionable offense.

“YouTube has repeatedly instructed Mr. Crowder regarding its hate speech policy and warned him against continuing violations of that policy through content he uploaded to YouTube,” the message states.

In a rebuttal responding to the censorship, Crowder noted the episode “covered SPECIFIC, documented instances of rape.”

YouTube censors David Davis MP’s speech against vaccine passports

YouTube has removed a video of former minister David Davis MP giving a speech against Covid passports during Conservative Party Conference. The video was uploaded by the non-partisan civil liberties NGO, Big Brother Watch.

YouTube removed Davis’ speech, filmed at a conference fringe event held by Big Brother Watch, for violating its policy on “medical misinformation” but did not specify what content had breached the rules. In a notification email to Big Brother Watch, the platform said: “YouTube doesn’t allow claims about COVID-19 vaccinations that contradict expert consensus from local health authorities or the World Health Organization (WHO).”

Mr Davis slammed YouTube’s claims regarding his speech as “potentially libellous” and maintained that the speech was “wholly accurate”.

In the censored speech, Mr Davis promoted the benefits of vaccination but warned that domestic vaccine passports are “illiberal, demanding that we an ordinary British citizen produce our papers to do something which is normal in our daily lives.”

“We know from our history that a free society is a greater, a better, a more economically successful, a happier place to be,” Mr Davis said.

Big Brother Watch, which is leading the national campaign against domestic Covid passes, said that the group has never received enforcement from YouTube or any social media platform before, and is mounting an appeal to the company’s decision.

David Davis MP said:

“This is an outrageous attack on free speech. Throughout the pandemic, we have seen blatant attempts by Big Tech to silence opposition voices challenging the conventional wisdom. This episode serves as a further example of the worrying trend of strangling free speech.

My speech at conference was carefully researched, wholly accurate and backed up with the latest scientific evidence.

This Government will shortly be bringing forward the Online Safety Bill. This harmful piece of legislation is nothing but a censor’s charter that only hands more power to these unaccountable Silicon Valley giants.

The unambiguous attempt by YouTube to censor my speech is a warning. If YouTube is happy to attempt to silence elected Members of Parliament, then they are also happy to censor anyone uploading content to their services.

The Government must stop the erosion of free speech online. That starts with looking again at the wholly inadequate proposals in the Online Safety Bill.”

“The removal of David Davis’ brilliant speech at our civil liberties event is a serious act of censorship from a platform with a growing track record of clamping down on free speech. YouTube has become increasingly intolerant of discussion around the pandemic. If a Member of Parliament and a human rights group can be censored by YouTube, so can anyone.

“The Government is doing nothing to tackle online censorship but stands to make the problem worse with broad rules clamping down on lawful speech in its new Online Safety Bill. This ought to be a wakeup call to politicians that freedom of speech is under severe threat in the digital world.”

I bet it loaded better today. It got sabotaged because I forgot my own advice - to never call out to another web site if you are alt media because they can hang you. In this case, it was Twitter embeds, Twitter seemed to be setting timers that froze this site during load and never applied those timers to my IP so I never saw it. If the site loaded quickly for you today it is because I kicked Twitter off. "Twitter never takes time to load" is not relevant when they make an exception and try to screw a site that does an embed because that site does not suit their politics.

The request to raise the matter to the high court was approved by the CPI on Tuesday morning. The CPI, which was charged with investigating the Brazilian government’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, has accused Bolsonaro of “crimes against humanity” as well as eight other crimes.

According to local media, the Socialism and Liberty Party (PSOL) raised the criminal complaint against the president for “violations of the Penal Code, infraction of a preventive sanitary measure and danger to the life or health of third parties.”

Europe’s Digital Services Act: on a Collision Course With Human Rights

Last year, the EU introduced the Digital Services Act (DSA), an ambitious and thoughtful project to rein in the power of Big Tech and give European internet users more control over their digital lives. It was an exciting moment, as the world’s largest trading bloc seemed poised to end a string of ill-conceived technological regulations that were both ineffective and incompatible with fundamental human rights.

We were (cautiously) optimistic, but we didn’t kid ourselves: the same bad-idea-havers who convinced the EU to mandate over-blocking, under-performing, monopoly-preserving copyright filters would also try to turn the DSA into yet another excuse to subject Europeans’ speech to automated filtering.

We were right to worry.

The DSA is now steaming full-speed-ahead on a collision course with even more algorithmic filters – the decidedly unintelligent “AIs” that the 2019 Copyright Directive ultimately put in charge of 500 million peoples’ digital expression in the 27 European member-states.

Copyright filters are already working their way into national law across the EU as each country implements the 2019 Copyright Directive. Years of experience have shown us that automated filters are terrible at spotting copyright infringement, both underblocking (permitting infringement to slip through) and overblocking (removing content that doesn’t infringe copyright) – and filters can be easily tricked by bad actors into blocking legitimate content, including (for example) members of the public who record their encounters with police officials.

But as bad as copyright filters are, the filters the DSA could require are far, far worse.

Vernon Coleman has been heavily censored since he started speaking out about the covid fraud, in early 2020.

He had been publishing books and videos for years, criticizing conventional medicine. I listen to almost every video he posts on BrandNewTube - he's great.

When Donald Trump said last May he was “confident” that a vaccine would be ready by the end of 2020, the US president was upbraided by NBC with what has become in recent years a popular journalistic and political device: the “fact check”. “Experts say he needs a ‘miracle’ to be right,” the broadcaster declared. Facebook used the same device last week on a piece from UnHerd that criticised the World Health Organization’s Covid-19 investigation for dismissing the possibility the virus leaked from a Wuhan laboratory as “extremely unlikely”. The social media platform labelled the article with a “false information” tag, though the virus’s origins have not been established. Facebook alleged the article contained “information . . . that independent fact-checkers say is false”. After UnHerd objected, Facebook apologised; three days later the White House expressed “deep concerns” about the WHO probe. I find these examples troubling. In both cases it wasn’t facts that were being checked. Perhaps Trump had no evidence to justify his confidence. But to “fact-check” his views feels to me like the politicisation of a device meant to support objectivity. Fact-checking can be a powerful tool in the fight against online falsehood. But it can be used as a means of censorship if not only facts but also opinions and narratives are checked. Facebook’s intervention is particularly concerning, especially in light of the company’s decision to block postings from legitimate news organisations in Australia. It did not remove UnHerd’s article entirely but its algorithms are programmed so that anything with a “false information” tag appears lower on users’ newsfeeds. Facebook has partnerships with independent fact-checkers such as Full Fact and PolitiFact, which are part of the International Fact-Checking Network and abide by a common set of principles. But in the UnHerd case, the decision was made by the company’s internal fact-checking team, which provides little transparency about how it operates. “When an internet company comes in and makes its own content moderation decisions, under the label of fact-checking, that's not fact-checking,” says Will Moy, chief executive of Full Fact. What gets called fact-checking too often feels like political point-scoring, but with the veneer of impartiality. In the run-up to last year’s US election, a number of outlets ran fact-checks on a video of Joe Biden seeming to get confused about Trump’s name and referring to someone called George. “No, Biden did not confuse George W Bush and Donald Trump,” the Washington Post wrote, arguing that he must have been talking directly to the interviewer George Lopez. The paper gave the claim that Biden had been confused “four Pinocchios” — its rating for the most mendacious claims. I’ve watched the video and find it implausible that Biden was addressing Lopez, but neither I nor the Post can be sure either way. I think “fact-checking” such a claim makes a mockery of the whole concept. And scoring systems like the number of “Pinocchios” or PolitiFact’s “Truth-O-Meter” make it even harder to reach nuanced conclusions. Stephen Ceci, a Cornell psychology professor, suggests one solution might be to institute “adversarial fact-checking”: have fact-checkers from different ends of the political spectrum examine a claim and present the competing evidence to the public. This seems sensible to me: where ambiguity exists, it should be communicated. Still, I wouldn’t want to live in a postmodernist world in which no objective reality is acknowledged — facts matter and are needed for a functional democracy. Fact-checking helps, but over-reach must be avoided. Last week, a Poynter Institute newsletter complained that the social media app Clubhouse, which allows users to listen to and take part in audio discussions, “produces barriers for fact-checkers” because it doesn’t keep its audio files or allow recordings. Used correctly, fact-checking contests falsehoods in ways that complement free speech. But free speech is about letting people be wrong as well as right. We must limit the checking to facts, which is tricky enough, and not opinions that the checkers don’t happen to like.

European Parliament’s Plans Of A Digital Services Act Threaten Internet Freedoms

The EU’s Digital Services Act is a chance to preserve what works and to fix what is broken. EFF and other civil society groups have advocated for new rules that protect fundamental rights online, while formulating a bold vision to address today’s most pressing challenges. However, while the initial proposal by the EU Commission got several things right, the EU Parliament is toying with the idea of introducing a new filternet, made in Europe. Some politicians believe that any active platform should potentially be held liable for the communications of its users and they trust that algorithmic filters can do the trick to swiftly remove illegal content.

In an opinion piece published on “heise online” on 8 November 2021 under a CC BY 4.0 license, Julia Reda, head of the control © project at the civil rights NGO Gesellschaft für Freiheitsrechte (GFF) and former Member of the EU Parliament has analyzed the current proposals and explained what is at stake for internet users. We have translated this text below.
Edit Policy: Digital Services Act derailed in the European Parliament

It’s a familiar pattern in net politics – the EU Commission makes a proposal that threatens fundamental digital rights. Civil society then mobilizes for protests and relies on the directly elected European Parliament to prevent the worst. However, in the case of the EU’s most important legislative project for regulating online platforms – the Digital Services Act – the most dangerous proposals are now coming from the European Parliament itself, after the draft law of the EU Commission had turned out to be surprisingly friendly to fundamental rights.

Apparently, the European Parliament has learned nothing from the debacle surrounding Article 17 of the Copyright Directive. It threatens a dystopian set of rules that promotes the widespread use of error-prone upload filters, allows the entertainment industry to block content at the push of a button, and encourages disinformation by tabloid media on social media.

@TrackerTrial, a Twitter account with more than 525,000 followers that provided regular updates on the Ghislaine Maxwell trial, has been suspended.

When banning the account, Twitter claimed that it had violated its rules against “platform manipulation and spam” and cited its rules against artificially amplifying or suppressing information.

The Free Press Report wrote on the PatriotOne substack, “I woke up this morning and the @TrackerTrial account on Twitter was suspended. All the other accounts that I have made in the past were also suspended.”

“The account got insane engagement, which by the way, was all organic. There was not outside amplification. The people wanted to hear the truth about the Ghislaine Maxwell, and Jeffrey Epstein trial and the engagement numbers showed that,” The Free Press Report wrote. “There were hundreds of millions in impressions and an account that went from zero to over 525,000 followers in a couple of weeks. All we did was report information from the trial that the mainstream media was failing to do.”

According to the Substack article, the @TrackerTrial account was suspended for allegedly violating Twitter’s “rules against platform manipulation and spam.”

In its latest legal battle with TV journalist John Stossel over a post about the origins of the deadly 2020 California forest fires, Facebook, now rebranded and referred to as “Meta,” claims that its “fact-checking” program should not be the target of a defamation suit because its attempts to regulate content are done by third-party organizations who are entitled to their “opinion.”

Stossel’s original complaint questioned whether “Facebook and its vendors defame a user who posts factually accurate content, when they publicly announce that the content failed a ‘fact-check’ and is ‘partly false,’ and by attributing to the user a false claim that he never made?” Facebook, however, claimed that the counter article authored by Climate Feedback is not necessarily the tech giant’s responsibility.

Facebook went on to complain that Stossel’s problem isn’t with the Silicon Valley giants’ “labels” on his content but with the obscure organizations that Facebook employs to do its “fact-checking” dirty work.

“The labels themselves are neither false nor defamatory; to the contrary, they constitute protected opinion,” Facebook admitted. “And even if Stossel could attribute Climate Feedback’s separate webpages to Meta, the challenged statements on those pages are likewise neither false nor defamatory. Any of these failures would doom Stossel’s complaint, but the combination makes any amendment futile.”

It’s no secret that Facebook uses its “fact-checking” program to curb information that it wants to be censored, and this November lawsuit gives more insight into the Big Tech company’s methods and twisted rationale.

“The independence of the fact checkers is a deliberate feature of Meta’s fact-checking program, designed to ensure that Meta does not become the arbiter of truth on its platforms,” the lawsuit stated before admitting that “Meta identifies potential misinformation for fact-checkers to review and rate. … [I]t leaves the ultimate determination whether information is false or misleading to the fact-checkers. And though Meta has designed its platforms so that fact-checker ratings appear next to content that the fact-checkers have reviewed and rated, it does not contribute to the substance of those ratings.”

Open letter from The BMJ to Mark Zuckerberg

Dear Mark Zuckerberg,

We are Fiona Godlee and Kamran Abbasi, editors of The BMJ, one of the world’s oldest and most influential general medical journals. We are writing to raise serious concerns about the “fact checking” being undertaken by third party providers on behalf of Facebook/Meta.

In September, a former employee of Ventavia, a contract research company helping carry out the main Pfizer covid-19 vaccine trial, began providing The BMJ with dozens of internal company documents, photos, audio recordings, and emails. These materials revealed a host of poor clinical trial research practices occurring at Ventavia that could impact data integrity and patient safety. We also discovered that, despite receiving a direct complaint about these problems over a year ago, the FDA did not inspect Ventavia’s trial sites.

The BMJ commissioned an investigative reporter to write up the story for our journal. The article was published on 2 November, following legal review, external peer review and subject to The BMJ’s usual high level editorial oversight and review.[1]

But from November 10, readers began reporting a variety of problems when trying to share our article. Some reported being unable to share it. Many others reported having their posts flagged with a warning about “Missing context ... Independent fact-checkers say this information could mislead people.” Those trying to post the article were informed by Facebook that people who repeatedly share “false information” might have their posts moved lower in Facebook’s News Feed. Group administrators where the article was shared received messages from Facebook informing them that such posts were “partly false.”

Readers were directed to a “fact check” performed by a Facebook contractor named Lead Stories.[2]

We find the “fact check” performed by Lead Stories to be inaccurate, incompetent and irresponsible.

-- It fails to provide any assertions of fact that The BMJ article got wrong

-- It has a nonsensical title: “Fact Check: The British Medical Journal Did NOT Reveal Disqualifying And Ignored Reports Of Flaws In Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine Trials”

-- The first paragraph inaccurately labels The BMJ a “news blog”

-- It contains a screenshot of our article with a stamp over it stating “Flaws Reviewed,” despite the Lead Stories article not identifying anything false or untrue in The BMJ article

-- It published the story on its website under a URL that contains the phrase “hoax-alert”

We have contacted Lead Stories, but they refuse to change anything about their article or actions that have led to Facebook flagging our article.

We have also contacted Facebook directly, requesting immediate removal of the “fact checking” label and any link to the Lead Stories article, thereby allowing our readers to freely share the article on your platform.

There is also a wider concern that we wish to raise. We are aware that The BMJ is not the only high quality information provider to have been affected by the incompetence of Meta’s fact checking regime. To give one other example, we would highlight the treatment by Instagram (also owned by Meta) of Cochrane, the international provider of high quality systematic reviews of the medical evidence.[3] Rather than investing a proportion of Meta’s substantial profits to help ensure the accuracy of medical information shared through social media, you have apparently delegated responsibility to people incompetent in carrying out this crucial task. Fact checking has been a staple of good journalism for decades. What has happened in this instance should be of concern to anyone who values and relies on sources such as The BMJ.

We hope you will act swiftly: specifically to correct the error relating to The BMJ’s article and to review the processes that led to the error; and generally to reconsider your investment in and approach to fact checking overall.

Medical advisor calls for research into risks of mass vaccination, and is censored: 'It is sad'

Medical advisor Wendy Mittemeijer-Ooteman recently wrote in a message on LinkedIn that we actually know nothing about mass vaccination because politicians never wanted to vaccinate the whole world before.

What do the experts say? Miedema is not alone. Thousands of independent researchers worldwide share his scientific point of view, says Mittemeijer-Ooteman.

I have been having recent issues with Twitter censorship:
1- I'm not able to embed 'against the narrative' tweets on this forum. That's quite frustrating when trying to share info on here.

2- Sending tweets via Twitter on their messaging the names of people that I regularly message- I'm finding that their name and avatar literally instantly vanishes as I go click on them as recipients.

3- Twitter is run by a bunch of assholes that I hope eventually will get their due comeuppance... opinion :rant:

Joe Rogan in an Instagram video Monday addressed the growing controversy surrounding his podcast — “The Joe Rogan Experience” — telling fans he’s not interested in talking to people who have only one perspective. He also said he has a problem with the term “misinformation.”

Rogan’s statement came as the streaming platform Spotify on Sunday announced new rules designed to “combat” the spread of COVID “misinformation” on its platform.

The new rules came after a handful of musicians, including Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen’s guitarist Nils Lofgren and Joni Mitchell, pulled their music catalogs from Spotify, in an effort to force Spotify to choose between their music or Rogan’s podcast. Author Brené Brown also joined the protest, stating she won’t release new episodes of her Spotify-exclusive podcasts “until further notice.”

Spotify last week agreed to remove Young’s music.“We have detailed content policies in place and we’ve removed over 20,000 podcast episodes related to covid-19 since the start of the pandemic,” a Spotify spokesperson told The Washington Post in a statement. “We regret Neil’s decision to remove his music from Spotify, but hope to welcome him back soon.”

Saagar Enjeti, Washington correspondent at The Hill, said there could be more going on behind the scenes. Investment firms who own the music catalogs — and who also have ties to pharmaceutical companies — may be calling the shots.

“The people speaking out may be doing so organically, but it also happens to coincide with the financial or oligarchic interests of some very, very rich people,” Enjeti said in a “Breaking Points” episode that took a “deep dive into the hedge funds behind the campaign by Neil Young and others to cancel Rogan and boost other music services such as Amazon music.”

Rogan, Spotify’s star podcaster, signed a $100 million deal in 2020, giving the streaming service exclusive rights to his show. The podcast, available only on Spotify, reached No. 1 globally last year, the company said last month.

What used to be misinformation, now accepted as fact

According to Rogan’s 10-minute video, his podcast was accused of “spreading dangerous misinformation,” citing specifically his interviews with Dr. Peter McCullough and one with Dr. Robert Malone.”

Rogan said:

“Dr. Peter McCullough is a cardiologist and he’s the most published physician in his field in history. Dr. Robert Malone owns nine patents on the creation of mRNA vaccine technology and is at least partly responsible for the creation of the technology that led to mRNA vaccines.

“Both these people are very highly credentialed, very intelligent, very accomplished people and they have an opinion that’s different than the mainstream narrative. I wanted to hear what their opinion is.

“I had them on and because of that those episodes, in particular, those episodes were labeled as being dangerous, they had dangerous misinformation in them.”

Rogan said the issue he has with the term “misinformation” is that “many of the things we thought of as misinformation just a short while ago are now accepted as fact.”

Rogan explained:

“For instance, eight months ago if you said if you get vaccinated you can still catch COVID and you can still spread COVID, you would be removed from social media. They would ban you from certain platforms. Now that’s accepted as fact.

“If you said, I don’t think cloth masks work, you would be banned on social media. Now that’s openly, repeatedly stated on CNN.

“If you said, I think it’s possible that COVID-19 came from a lab, you would be banned from many social media platforms. Now, that’s on the cover as Newsweek.”

Rogan said all of those theories that “at one point in time” were banned, were openly discussed by McCullough and Malone who were accused of spreading dangerous misinformation.

Rogan said he wanted to make the video because he feels “people have a distorted perception” of what he does.

“I’m not trying to promote misinformation,” Rogan said. “I’m not trying to be controversial. I’ve never tried to do anything with this podcast other than just talk to people and have interesting conversations.”Are Amazon and Hedge Funds trying to cancel Rogan?

In a video posted Jan. 31 on YouTube, Enjeti said there is more than meets the eye when it comes to musicians like Young pulling their catalogs from Spotify.

“The original impetus for Neil Young’s demand was a letter he posted on social media saying Spotify could either have Neil Young or Joe Rogan, but that letter was almost immediately deleted after it was posted,” Enjeti said.

“Who is demanding this? Enjeti asked. “Is it Neil Young or is it the people who own his music?”

Enjeti explained:

“You see a recent trend in the music business it that iconic artists such a Neil Young sell their catalogs to big-money groups who then reap the profits in perpetuity. Young actually sold his catalog in Jan. 2021 to a company called Hipgnosis. Now Hipgnosis is a $1 billion company that recently announced an ownership agreement with Blackstone.”

Enjeti said Blackstone is focused on taking over single-family housing and turning America into a nation of renters, but it also has interests everywhere.

“Blackstone, BlackRock and these big private equity giants are ruthless in their pursuit of profits and they’re savvy political players who know how to play the game,” Enjeti said. “They have all sorts of ties to the pharmaceutical industry, including announcing the former CEO and chairman of Pfizer would be joining Blackstone as a senior advisor.”

“Open your eyes to see possibilities you may not have imagined,” Enjeti said. “At first it was simple, just Neil Young taking a stand.”

Now a lot of people with big money and a big agenda who would just so happen to profit if Rogan went down are speaking out, Enjeti added. “Joni Mitchell has come out and said she is going to stand in solidarity with Neil Young.”

Mitchell on Sept. 13, 2021, struck a publishing deal with Reservoir Media, Inc. (RMI). The top 10 owners of RMI are large private equity and investment firms.

Lofgren, who on Jan. 30 announced he was joining fellow musicians Mitchell and Young in their Spotify boycott, also does not own his music catalog.

Lofgren’s catalog was purchased on Dec. 16, 2021, by Sony Entertainment. The top 10 owners of Sony Group Corp. are large investment firms.

Enjeti said:

“You give into the mob, you give them an inch, they will keep coming. Will Spotify really be able to withstand up to the pressure? Who knows? Principles are not going to save you in this instance. Only money will.”

Enjeti said people better hold on to their seats and “hope that Joe prevails on this one,” as he is up against more powerful interests than many realize.

New Spotify rules don’t define ‘misinformation’

As part of its new rules, Spotify said it would add a content advisory to any podcast episode discussing COVID amid accusations it was allowing misinformation to spread on its platform.

The advisory will direct listeners to a “dedicated COVID-19 Hub,” which is described as a “resource that provides easy access to data-driven facts, up-to-date information as shared by scientists, physicians, academics and public health authorities around the world, as well as links to trusted sources.”

Spotify said this is the first content advisory of its kind and will roll out in the next few days.

The streaming giant also announced it will begin testing ways to highlight its platform rules to raise awareness around “what’s acceptable” and to help creators understand their accountability for the content they post on the platform.

The statement did not say who determines what is and is not misinformation and what is considered a “trusted source.”

Rogan said he supports Spotify putting a disclaimer on controversial podcasts about COVID and encouraging listeners to speak to their physicians."

(3) calls by foreign terrorist organizations for attacks on the United States based on recent events.

Continued calls for violence directed at U.S. critical infrastructure; soft targets and mass gatherings; faith-based institutions, such as churches, synagogues, and mosques; institutions of higher education; racial and religious minorities; government facilities and personnel, including law enforcement and the military; the media; and perceived ideological opponents:

Foreign terrorist organizations and domestic threat actors continue to amplify pre-existing false or misleading narratives online to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions. Some of these actors do so to encourage unrest, which could lead to acts of violence against the facilities, individuals, institutions, and organizations cited above.
Violent extremists inspired by a range of grievances and ideologies continue to target crowded venues traditionally perceived to be soft targets, such as commercial and publicly accessible facilities, public gatherings, certain government and state facilities, and houses of worship.
The recent attack on a synagogue in Colleyville, Texas highlights the continuing threat of violence based upon racial or religious motivations, as well as threats against faith-based organizations.
Threats directed at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and other colleges and universities, Jewish facilities, and churches cause concern and may inspire extremist threat actors to mobilize to violence.
As COVID-19 restrictions continue to decrease nationwide, increased access to commercial and government facilities and the rising number of mass gatherings could provide increased opportunities for individuals looking to commit acts of violence to do so, often with little or no warning. Meanwhile, COVID-19 mitigation measures—particularly COVID-19 vaccine and mask mandates—have been used by domestic violent extremists to justify violence since 2020 and could continue to inspire these extremists to target government, healthcare, and academic institutions that they associate with those measures.
Domestic violent extremists have also viewed attacks against U.S. critical infrastructure as a means to create chaos and advance ideological goals, and have recently aspired to disrupt U.S. electric (https://www.cisa.gov/energy-sector) and communications (https://www.cisa.gov/communications-sector) critical infrastructure, including by spreading false or misleading narratives about 5G cellular technology (https://www.cisa.gov/5g).
Some domestic violent extremists have continued to advocate for violence in response to false or misleading narratives about unsubstantiated election fraud. The months preceding the upcoming 2022 midterm elections could provide additional opportunities for these extremists and other individuals to call for violence directed at democratic institutions, political candidates, party offices, election events, and election workers.
A small number of threat actors are attempting to use the evacuation and resettlement of Afghan nationals following the U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan last year as a means to exacerbate long-standing grievances and justify attacks against immigrants.

Cambodia’s new Chinese-style National Internet Gateway comes online on February 16 and will funnel all web traffic to, from and within the country through a state-controlled data point, exposing it to comprehensive government surveillance.

The move that is feared to have a strong negative impact not only on freedom of speech, but also on media and businesses in the country.

All Internet service providers in the country are required to route their traffic through the gateway. Revocation of operating licenses or the freezing of bank accounts are among penalties for non-compliance. Additionally, all incoming traffic to Cambodia will be subject to censorship.

Wojcicki continued to say that there has not been much controversy surrounding the company’s enforcement of these laws. She added that the controversy tends to arise when Google censors “harmful” but “not illegal” content, espeically content relating to the coronavirus.
She explained YouTube’s position on misinformation:
What has been the controversial part is when there is content that would be deemed as harmful but yet is not illegal. An example of that, for example, would be COVID.
I’m not aware of there being laws by governments saying around COVID in terms of not being able to debate the efficacy of masks or where the virus came from or the right treatment or proposal but yet there was a lot of pressure and concern about us distributing misinformation that went against what was the standard and accepted medical knowledge.
And so this category of harmful but…legal has been, I think, where most of the discussion has been.

During a February 4, 2022, interview with Time magazine,1 former National Institutes of Health director Francis Collins accused me of being to blame for the government’s inability to bring the COVID pandemic to a close.

In his mind, the COVID-19 deaths experienced in the U.S. were not due to the lack of appropriate treatment but, rather, our failure to get a needle into every arm in America. In other words, vaccine resistance is the reason COVID-19 is still with us, and people who share basic facts about the COVID jabs are to blame for that.

Time’s editor-at-large Belinda Luscombe asked Collins why so many of those who distrust vaccines are Christians, to which he replied, in part:

“I don’t want to blame any of those people who have been somehow seduced by misinformation into a position that is not good for them. I want to blame the people who are spreading the misinformation especially those who know it’s not true and are doing so anyway ...

I look at what happens in social media, at the top 12 distributors of false information on Facebook. And some of them are doctors who are making a lot of money on this.

They’re the people who I have the hardest time forgiving, physicians who have given an oath to do no harm and are now saying ‘These vaccines are dangerous,’ and ‘Here is an alternative approach and that if you buy from me, you’ll be fine.’ Look at Dr. Joseph Mercola from Florida.”

Before correcting the article, Luscombe interjected at this point, asking, “The one who claims to be the inventor of mRNA?” to which Collins replied, “Yes.” In the corrected copy, Collins reply is changed to, “No that’s Dr. Robert Malone ...”

But originally, both of them somehow managed to get the two of us confused. I guess it’s hard to keep all the facts straight when you’re trying to cover up lies with more lies.

Evidence Does Not Support Collins’ Denials

To me, it seems Collins is desperately trying to deflect and hide the NIH’s own involvement in the pandemic — both its creation and its continuation — which is getting more obvious as time goes on. From the start, Collins2 and Fauci denied the possibility of a lab leak, even though most of the evidence pointed straight in that direction.

In January 2022, House Oversight Committee Republicans released National Institutes of Health emails that show Drs. Anthony Fauci and Francis Collins led the effort to bury the lab leak theory, even though the scientific consensus in early February 2020 was that the virus likely leaked from the Wuhan lab.3 For example, a note from professor and microbiologist Robert (Bob) Garry, Ph.D., read:

“Before I left the office for the ball, I aligned the nCoV with the 96% bat CoV sequenced at WIV. Except for the RBD the S proteins are essential identical at the amino acid level — well all but the perfect insertion of 12 nucleotides that adds [sic] the furin site.

S2 is over its whole length essentially identical. I really can’t think of a plausible natural scenario where you get from the bat virus or one very similar to it to nCoV where you insert exactly 4 amino acids 12 nucleotide [sic] that all have to be added at the exact same time to gain this function — that and you don’t change any other amino acids in S2?

I just can’t figure out how this gets accomplished in nature. Do the alignment of the spikes at the amino acid level — its [sic] stunning. Of course, in the lab it would be easy to generate the perfect 12 base insert that you wanted.”

That was a private note; yet, publicly — and in retrospect, duplicitously — Garry was claiming it came from nature, and even cowrote a paper in March 20204 stating that, “plausibly,” the virus could not have come from a lab. A year later, in May 2021, in a video interview with the American Society for Microbiology,5 he again insisted the virus came from nature and not a lab.

One can only speculate why he had one story for Fauci’s eyes only, but another for the public. Then, again, Collins and Fauci also denied ever having funded gain-of-function (GOF) research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in China, despite documented evidence of such funding.6,7,8,9

As reported by The Federalist,10 while Fauci insists that the NIAID’s funding of research on bat coronaviruses at the WIV (through grants to the EcoHealth Alliance) could not possibly have led to the creation of SARS-CoV-2, the records that could actually prove this assertion — the complete lab records — have never been disclosed. Why is that?

It’s also worth noting that the natural origin theory does not automatically dismiss the lab leak theory. Even if SARS-CoV-2 had a natural origin, it still could have escaped from the Wuhan lab — if it was kept and/or studied there.

So, why are Fauci and Collins so adamant about denying both scenarios? And why are they not cooperating and releasing relevant information if that information can clear them of suspicions of wrongdoing?

Criminalizing Truth
For the time being, Collins and his underling, director of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Dr. Anthony Fauci, are protected by political powers, but that could — and hopefully will — eventually change. For now, they’re relying on a combination of projection, censorship and intimidation to keep the truth under a tight lid.

According to the DHS, Americans who ‘undermine public trust in government institutions’ are the primary ‘threat actors.’ With that, they have literally labeled free speech a ‘terrorism threat’ to the U.S.
To that end, February 7, 2022, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) raised the terrorism threat level a notch:11

“The United States remains in a heightened threat environment fueled by several factors, including an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis-, dis- and mal-information (MDM12) introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors.”

According to the DHS, Americans who “undermine public trust in government institutions” are the primary “threat actors.” With that, they have literally labeled free speech a “terrorism threat” to the U.S.13

Anyone who presents information that results in people losing confidence in government institutions is “a terrorist.” The problem with this is that it’s THE TRUTH that is triggering this loss of confidence. So, they’re actually criminalizing truth telling!

National Security Apparatus Targets Citizens
DHS claims that “domestic violent extremists” have and may continue to use COVID measures, such as mask and vaccine mandates, “to justify violence” against “government, health care and academic institutions that they associate with those measures.”

Strangely enough, the DHS then goes on to cite threats directed at synagogues, mosques, Jewish facilities and Black colleges, as well as rumors of election fraud, as examples of events that can inspire and mobilize this kind of violence. Just what race, religion and election fraud concerns have to do with how people feel about COVID measures is unclear.

To keep Americans safe, the DHS urges everyone to maintain the “digital and media literacy” required to “recognize and build resilience to false or misleading narratives.”

For their part, the DHS and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are sharing information with partners “across every level of government and in the private sector.” They’ve also established a “new, dedicated domestic terrorism branch to produce the sound, timely intelligence needed to counter related threats.”14

In the same vein, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has a dedicated “MDM team,” a special taskforce “charged with building national resilience to mis-, dis-, and malinformation ...”15 In short, national security agencies are being weaponized against the American public itself. They’re openly being used to shut down Constitutional rights.

DHS Bulletin Cannot Be Allowed to Stand
In response to the DHS bulletin, Malone writes:16

“In the United States, our right to free speech and the right to assemble is paramount to who we are. [The DHS National Terrorism Advisory Bulletin] has some of my colleagues as well as myself very worried. Those who are writing and speaking about science and health policy are now in danger of being targeted by the U.S. government as domestic terrorists for spreading ‘mis-, dis- and mal-information (MDM).

The manipulative linking of election violence to COVID-19 policies is disingenuous. It is a calculated strategy to allow government authorities to crack down on those people who are going against the Health and Human Services narrative that there are no early treatments for COVID-19 and that everyone must get vaccinated, and that the lockdowns and mask mandates were necessary.

The U.S. government must be held accountable for their failed policies and authoritarian behavior during this pandemic. Scientists, the press, physicians and yes, laypeople, must be able to speak and write freely ...

As a people, we cannot allow ourselves to be censored in this manner. It is time that our legislative and judicial branches of government do their job to protect our first amendment rights. This bulletin cannot be allowed to stand or we will no longer have freedom of speech in this country.”

It is also an effort to divide us... all under the guise of "ending racism"... Well, I like that idea but I am not sure if the narrative makes sense. Now, when we look at Russia (BUT ESPECIALLY UKRAINE, FFS), there has always been a racist vibe. I'm not saying Russians are racist in general, but I know that Polish people are pretty racist in general (challenge me on this if you disagree) and Ukrainians, quite frankly, are not renowned for being advocates of ending racism. Well, none of this war really makes sense, but we see how white people are the enemy -- everywhere. Okay. Fine. We won't tolerate racism BUT WE WILL TALK ABOUT IT, ALL THE TIME!

What will end first? Covid or racism? Hopefully both of them simultaneously, one hour from now, but this agenda is very weird and the fact that Russians are being vilified so much is quite weird. Why are they always the enemy? They don't seem like such bad people.

Judge Torres ruled that the DOJ’s investigation must be overseen by Judge Jones and ordered the DOJ not to review any materials seized from Project Veritas without Judge Jones’ approval.

Paul Calli, an attorney for Project Veritas, fiercely opposed the actions from the DOJ which he called an act of “violence” to the First Amendment.

In a motion filed Tuesday, Calli argued, “By the time [Project Veritas] filed the Motion to Appoint a Special Master, the government already had the opportunity to review Project Veritas’ journalistic and attorney-client privileged materials.” Based on preliminary research data, the SDNY appears to be in possession of nearly 150K documents they should not have. In addition to the emails, the SDNY obtained over one thousand contacts from journalists that they also failed to disclose to Judge Torres or to the Special Master.

The surveillance culminated in a search warrant seeking every email sent to or from Project Veritas founder and CEO, James O’Keefe, for a three-month period, along with every contact he had ever saved.

According to an order the DOJ sought to keep secret, to justify obtaining access to journalists’ emails, the Justice Department appears to have argued “there is probable cause to believe the email account(s), maintained at premises controlled by Microsoft Corporation, USA, contain evidence, fruits, and instrumentalities of crime.”

Each order, warrant and subpoena were accompanied by a Non-Disclosure Orders (NDO) which barred Microsoft from disclosing the SDNY’s surveillance for one year, claiming without evidence, that disclosure could lead to destruction of evidence by Project Veritas. Multiple NDOs were set to expire in January 2022.

On December 8, 2021, however, Judge Torres, over the opposition of the SDNY, granted Project Veritas’ request to appoint a Special Master to supervise the SDNY’s review of materials seized from journalists to protect the news organization’s “journalistic privileges,” among other things.

Although the SDNY began issuing nearly weekly reports to the Special Master only a few days after Judge Torres’ order, the SDNY has never submitted any report disclosing its surveillance of Project Veritas’ emails to the Special Master, let alone provided the seized emails to the Special Master.

The SDNY’s final act of secrecy was seeking yet another round of renewals, prompting Microsoft to point out in a scathing unfiled motion that the government’s claims that Project Veritas might destroy evidence if the surveillance were disclosed were unsupportable.

Microsoft pointed out that the DOJ’s investigation was already public and no proof that Project Veritas would destroy evidence had been offered by the SDNY.

The SDNY’s spying campaign represents seemingly politically motivated investigation by President Biden’s Department of Justice into Project Veritas’ newsgathering activities surrounding allegations against then-candidate, Joe Biden, made by his daughter, Ashley Biden, in her diary."

• Apple and Google have come forward to disclose that between November 2020 and March 2021, the Department of Justice issued nine secret subpoenas and warrants to them for the private information of Project Veritas journalists.

• In addition to using Apple and Google to surveil the data of Project Veritas’ journalists, the DOJ also spied on journalists’ security detail, accessing private information about them, as well.

• Documents show the Department of Justice compelled Apple and Google not to disclose that they were providing the individual’s private data to the government.

• In the case of Google, the DOJ accessed individuals’ payment information, MAC address and browsing history, in addition to other personal information.

• Project Veritas’ attorneys filed a motion outlining how the DOJ’s seizures violated the Privacy Protection Act and the Fourth Amendment, in addition to the First Amendment and Common Law Reporter’s Privilege.

[NEW YORK – Apr. 13, 2022] Project Veritas announced today that Apple and Google came forward and provided documents showing that President Biden’s Department of Justice issued nine secret subpoenas to them for multiple Project Veritas journalists’ private information.

The subpoenas and warrants even extended to the journalists’ security detail. In addition to compelling Apple and Google not to disclose that the constitutionally-protected information of journalists was being surveilled by the highest levels of our government, the Department of Justice sought payment information, MAC addresses, browsing history and other personal information from multiple employees of Project Veritas.

The shocking revelation from Apple and Google comes on the heels of last month’s news. Microsoft Corporation was similarly compelled by the Department of Justice which filed a series of secret warrants, orders, and a subpoena to surreptitiously collect privileged and constitutionally-protected communications and contacts of eight Project Veritas journalists.

In a statement, the ACLU said they were “deeply troubled” by the “secret electronic surveillance” conducted by the Department of Justice. Paul Calli, an attorney for Project Veritas, pointed out that the actions from the government were disproportionate, in addition to arguing the DOJ violated the Privacy Protection Act, the First and Fourth Amendments, and Common Law Reporter’s Privilege.

“By no reasonable measure can the wholesale seizure of news gathering materials, attorney-client privileged communications, and irrelevant personal information be considered a proportional response to an alleged low-grade larceny, much less to a non-crime,” said Calli in Project Veritas’ motion filed in response to the disclosures from Microsoft.

The DOJ’s spying campaign represents the latest example of governmental misconduct in, what appears to be, a politically motivated investigation. President Biden’s Department of Justice has placed its crosshairs squarely on Project Veritas’ news gathering activities pertaining to apparent allegations against then-candidate, Joe Biden, which were made by his daughter, Ashley Biden, in her diary.

"The government knows the truth: Project Veritas engaged in journalism protected by the First Amendment," said Project Veritas founder and CEO, James O’Keefe, echoing a line from Veritas’ most recent court filing.

“As the Reporters Committee has requested of Federal Judge Analisa Torres, it is time for the DOJ’s affidavits, by which they obtained these unjustified subpoenas, be unsealed,” O’Keefe added.

Where does this go? AS I suspected, once Elon starts getting insanely rich and his companies profitable, he will just start throwing money at many things and improving a lot. [SAN FRANCISCO – Apr. 26, 2022] Project Veritas released newly leaked audio today that captures Twitter leadership addressing staff over concerns relating to Elon Musk’s takeover of the company.

In a company-wide call that lasted around 45 minutes, Twitter employees questioned board member, Bret Taylor, and CEO, Parag Agrawal, about the company’s direction and Musk’s motives for buying the social media platform.

Taylor kicked off the meeting recognizing that many on the staff were shocked by how quickly the Twitter-Musk negotiations unfolded.

“I also just want to acknowledge all the emotions of today. It is an emotional day. I want to acknowledge it,” Taylor said. “By law, we are required to act in the best interest of our shareholders,” he said while justifying the company’s sale.
Agrawal made similar remarks about the toll this may be taking on numerous Twitter employees.

“It’s important to acknowledge that all of you have many different feelings about what is happening,” Agrawal said.

“Many of you are concerned, some of you excited, many people here are waiting to understand how this goes and have an open mind,” he said.

The Twitter CEO attempted to quell fears of Musk’s takeover, going so far as to say that the company’s current “content moderation” policies are “fundamental to keeping Twitter safe and growing.”

Said Agrawal, “We’ll be finding a way to have Elon talk with all of you at the soonest possible opportunity…As you’ve heard from all of us, we don’t have all the answers.”

Heading the opposition to what has been compared to the Ministry of Truth in Orwell’s 1984, Senator Josh Hawley wrote to DHS Secretary Mayorkas noting “I confess, I at first thought this announcement was satire.”

"Surely no American Administration would ever use the power of Government to sit in judgement on the First Amendment speech of its own citizens,” Hawley continued.

“Sadly,” he added, “I was mistaken. Rather than protecting our border or the American homeland, you have chosen to make policing Americans’ speech your priority. This new board is almost certainly unconstitutional and should be dissolved immediately.”

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy also responded to the development, describing it as “Orwellian.”

Principles to promote this Vision
The partners in this Declaration intend to uphold a range of key principles, set out below, regarding the Internet and digital technologies; to promote these principles within existing multilateral and multistakeholder fora; to translate these principles into concrete policies and actions; and, work together to promote this vision globally, while respecting each other's regulatory autonomy within our own jurisdictions and in accordance with our respective domestic laws and international legal obligations. These principles are not legally binding but should rather be used as a reference for public policy makers, as well as citizens, businesses, and civil society organizations.

Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms

- Dedicate ourselves, in conducting and executing our respective domestic authorities, to respect human rights, including as reflected in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as well as the principles of the rule of law, legitimate purpose, non-arbitrariness, effective oversight, and transparency, both online and offline, and call upon others to do the same.

- Promote online safety and continue to strengthen our work to combat violence online, including sexual and gender-based violence as well as child sexual exploitation, to make the Internet a safe and secure place for everyone, particularly women, children, and young people.

- Promote safe and equitable use of the Internet for everyone, without discrimination based on sex, race, color, ethnic, national or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of an indigenous population, property, birth, disability, age, gender identity or sexual orientation.

- Reaffirm our commitment that actions taken by governments, authorities, and digital services including online platforms to reduce illegal and harmful content and activities online be consistent with inter- national human rights law, including the right to freedom of expression while encouraging diversity of opinion, and pluralism without fear of censorship, harassment, or intimidation.

- Protect and respect human rights and fundamental freedoms across the digital ecosystem, while providing access to meaningful remedies for human rights violations and abuses, consistent with international human rights law.

- Refrain from misusing or abusing the Internet or algorithmic tools or techniques for unlawful surveillance, oppression, and repression that do not align with international human rights principles, including developing social score cards or other mechanisms of domestic social control or prerime detention and arrest. - Refrain from government-imposed internet shutdowns or degrading domestic Internet access, either entirely or partially. - Refrain from blocking or degrading access to lawful content, services, and applications on the Internet, consistent with principles of Net Neutrality subject to applicable law, including international human rights law.

- Promote our work to realize the benefits of data free flows with trust based on our shared values as like-minded, democratic, open and outward looking partners.

- Promote cooperation in research and innovation and standard setting, encourage information sharing regarding security threats through relevant international fora, and reaffirm our commitment to the frame- work of responsible state behavior in cyberspace.

Inclusive and Affordable Access to the Internet
- Promote affordable, inclusive, and reliable access to the Internet for individuals and businesses where they need it and support efforts to close digital divides around the world to ensure all people of the world are able to benefit from the digital transformation.

- Support digital literacy, skills acquisition, and development so that individuals can overcome the digital divide, participate in the Internet safely, and realize the economic and social potential of the digital economy.

- Foster greater exposure to diverse cultural and multilingual content, information, and news online. Exposure to diverse content online should contribute to pluralistic public discourse, foster greater social and digital inclusion within society, bolster resilience to disinformation and misinformation, and increase participation in democratic processes.

Trust in the Digital Ecosystem
- Work together to combat cybercrime, including cyber-enabled crime, and deter malicious cyber activity.

- Ensure that government and relevant authorities' access to personal data is based in law and conducted in accordance with international human rights law.

- Protect individuals' privacy, their personal data, the confidentiality of electronic communications and in- formation on end-users' electronic devices, consistent with the protection of public safety and applicable domestic and international law.

- Promote the protection of consumers, in particular vulnerable consumers, from online scams and other unfair practices online and from dangerous and unsafe products sold online.

- Promote and use trustworthy network infrastructure and services suppliers, relying on risk-based assessments that include technical and non-technical factors for network security.

- Refrain from using the Internet to undermine the electoral infrastructure, elections and political processes, including through covert information manipulation campaigns.cesses, including through covert information manipulation campaigns.

- Support a rules-based global digital economy which fosters trade and contestable and fair online markets so that firms and entrepreneurs can compete on their merits.

- Cooperate to maximize the enabling effects of technology for combating climate change and protecting the environment whilst reducing as much as possible the environmental footprint of the Internet and digital technologies.

Multistakeholder Internet Governance
- Protect and strengthen the multistakeholder system of Internet governance, including the development, deployment, and management of its main technical protocols and other related standards and protocols.

- Refrain from undermining the technical infrastructure essential to the general availability and integrity of the Internet. We believe that the principles for the future of the Internet are universal in nature and as such we invite those who share this vision to affirm these principles and join us in the implementation of this vision. This Declaration takes into account, and expects to contribute to, existing processes in the UN system, G7, G20, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, the World Trade Organization, and other relevant multilateral and multistakeholder fora, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, Internet Governance Forum, and Freedom Online Coalition. We also welcome partner- ship with the many civil society organizations essential to promoting an open, free, global, interoperable, reliable, and secure Internet, and defending fundamental freedoms and human rights online. Partners in this Declaration intend to consult and work closely with stakeholders in carrying forward this vision.

"Disinformation" is that which they don't like, "interfering with elections" means telling the truth about candidates the MSM has lied about and subsequently pointing out vote fraud, and "causing harm" means pointing out the perpetrators of permitted crimes like slave trades, child sacrifice, the grove, corrupt politicians and deals - the whole 9 yards. "Consortium News, founded in 1995 by the late investigative reporter Robert Parry, is today launching its 2022 Spring Fund Drive as its reporting on the war in Ukraine is coming under attack.

Consortium News has over years made its mark with fearless reporting on the 1980 October Surprise; the program of psychological manipulation of the American people beginning in the Reagan administration; the false premises for the disastrous 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq; the 2014 coup in Ukraine and the influence of neo-Nazism; the fake Russiagate scandal; the Julian Assange case and lately on the war in Ukraine.

"PayPal has canceled Consortium News‘ account without any prior notice or due process and with virtually no explanation.

As Consortium News is today launching its Spring Fund Drive, it has lost one of its most important ways for its viewers and readers to show their support through donations. Clicking on the yellow PayPal donate button on our home page now yields this message:

PayPal has sent an email to CN that says:

“You can’t use PayPal anymore. … We noticed activity in your account that’s inconsistent with our User Agreement and we no longer offer you PayPal services. … Because of potential risk exposure, we’ve permanently limited your account. You’ll no longer be able to use the account for any transactions.”
The message says that “any money in your PayPal balance will be held for up to 180 days,” after which, “if applicable, we’ll email you with information on how to withdraw any remaining money.”

Consortium’s PayPal account page now shows a similar message:

No Prior Notice or Explanation

There was no prior notice sent nor was Consortium News afforded any due process. A PayPal customer service agent confirmed in a telephone call on Sunday that the “back office” gave no specific reason for “permanently limiting” CN‘s account other than that an “investigation and review” of CN‘s “history found some potential risk associated with this account.”

She said the “potential risk” from CN is “not exactly specified by the back office.” The agent said, “It has something to do with the history of this account.” Asked whether any agency, government or private, or any individual had complained to PayPal about CN, the customer service agent replied, “I don’t see any existing case.”

The agent could not explain why Consortium News was given no notice or any due process, but promised to ask the “back office” to contact CN to explain.

Regarding the $9,348.14 balance in CN‘s PayPal account, the agent said that after a 180-day review PayPal would decide whether to return it. “If there was a violation,” she said “it is possible” the money could be kept as “damages” to PayPal. Violations under the Restricted Activities of the User Agreement include providing “false, inaccurate or misleading information” to PayPal, other PayPal customers “or third parties.”

Given the current political climate it is more than conceivable that PayPal is reacting to Consortium News’ coverage of the war in Ukraine, which is not in line with the dominant narrative that is being increasingly enforced. Last week PayPal also froze the account of the alternative news site MintPressNews.

PayPal was sued in California in January in a class action for similarly shutting down accounts."
