I had JUST finished posting about this in the forum as part of a piece about Paul Hellyer, when I suddenly had the urge to check my email, where I found an "update" message from the 'Modern Knowledge Tour' folks. I can't help but make a new post about it. :p

Oh, synchronicity, you always know when to pop up ... ;)

The message begins here:

Hello,

We hope this email finds you well.

We are excited to begin the 2015 MK Tour season here in Canada with the first series of special events: Disclosure Canada

A great Press Release for this particular tour was compiled and published by Zland Communications that details the scope of this 4 event series in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.

As an added element to this tour, and mentioned in the press release, a letter to Canada's Minister of Defence has been sent to Ottawa that details the information and documentation that the
Disclosure Canada tour is presenting at the event to the public.
View the complete letter to the Minister and the documentation at this link: http://www.modernknowledge.ca/letter-to-mod-of-canada.html

We would like to also make you aware of a very recent video release made by Disclosure Canada's key-note speaker, the former Minister of Defence of Canada, the Hon. Paul T. Hellyer.
In this video entitled FULL DISCLOSURE, Paul bravely delivers a message to the world on the importance of this time in history, and the necessary steps needed to turn the ship around and set a new course for humanity based on truth, mutual respect and responsible .

Here is Paul Hellyer's FULL DISCLOSURE message: https://youtu.be/79ZyvXMwMtI

This Disclosure Canada 4 city tour provides a rare opportunity to meet Paul Hellyer in person and talk with him one-on-one about the issues he raises in the video, and about all of his past and current public comments.

Thanks! I've never been been to one of these conferences so I'm excited to have one in my home city! Will we get a group of Avalonians together to say hi? Apparently there is a group discount for 4 or more people attending.

About Paul Hellyer

Paul Hellyer is one of Canada’s best known and most controversial politicians. First elected in 1949, he was the youngest cabinet minister appointed to Louis S. St. Laurent’s government eight years later. He subsequently held senior posts in the governments of Lester B. Pearson and Pierre E. Trudeau, who defeated him for the Liberal Party leadership in 1968. The following year, after achieving the rank of senior minister, which was later designated Deputy Prime Minister, Hellyer resigned from the Trudeau cabinet on a question of principle related to housing.

Although Hellyer is best known for the unification of the Canadian Armed Forces and for his 1968 chairmanship of the Task Force on Housing and Urban Development, he has maintained a life-long interest in macroeconomics. Through the years, as a journalist and political commentator, he has continued to fight for economic reforms and has written several books on the subject.

A man of many interests, Hellyer’s ideas are not classroom abstractions. He was born and raised on a farm and his business experience includes manufacturing, retailing, construction, land development, tourism and publishing. He has also been active in community affairs including the arts and studied voice at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. His multi-faceted career, in addition to a near-lifetime in politics, gives Hellyer a rare perspective on what has gone wrong with world economies.

In recent years he has become interested in the extraterrestrial presence and their superior technology that we have been emulating. In September 2005 he became the first person of cabinet rank in the G8 group of countries to state unequivocally “UFO’s are as real as the airplanes flying overhead.”

Paul Hellyer made it to the Toronto star, a major newspaper.

I have not read the article (to seek if it i just a 'hit piece', or not) and do not know if it was web only, or if it was on the newsstands in the paper edition. But it is a major newspaper.

Cabal keeping UFO secrets to blame for world’s woes, says former cabinet minister Paul Hellyer (http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2015/04/11/cabal-keeping-ufo-secrets-to-blame-for-worlds-woes-says-former-cabinet-minister-paul-hellyer.html)

(^^^ Actual article title, on major newspaper website.)

Edit:
It was a quick read, and it is not a hit piece. It is a reasonably unbiased (neutral) simple report.

That, on it's own, is remarkable.

An interesting thing came up, that may indicate that we are indeed looking at a 'hit piece', with regard to the Toronto star newspaper website article on the conference.

We are supposed to believe that '150 people' attended the talk by Paul Hellyer, in Toronto.

Now, the story from the UFO chronicles website (via CTV news) says that 400 people attended the talk by Hellyer in the Alberta Canada talk in the city of Calgary. Four hundred, and Calgary has a metropolitan population of 1,214,839, according to Wikipedia.

Toronto, according to Wikipedia, has a metropolitan population of...5,583,064, spread over a much larger area.

If the interest in UFO's is about the same, regarding individuals in a given population and there is no reason to believe there to be striking differences in the two locales....then a simple mathematical comparative gives a potential Toronto UFO conference Attendance of Hellyer's lecture of....approximately 4.6 times the number that the Toronto star paper reported. Basically, about 700 people could have attended Hellyer's lecture, compared to what the Toronto star paper reporter has actually reported.

I think the proper term of such things could be 'soft lies'. Padding or reducing the numbers, to control public opinion on the subject by changing the facts around the simple act of reporting attendance figures.

The Calgary conference was reported on by CTV news, which is basically Canada wide in it's reporting capacities.

http://www.theufochronicles.com/2015/04/ufo-cover-up-claims-former-defence.html

I smell the stench of soft lies, fibs of a sort by the Toronto Star reporters and website. I cannot believe that Toronto citizens would be 5x less likely to attend such a conference compared to that of Calgary. Especially since Calgary is a stronghold of 'Conservative, right wing' thinkers and doers, which are traditionally very against the idea of UFO's.

Add in that Toronto is seen as a 'liberal' minded city, left leaning, and they are far more likely to pick up the idea of UFO's and attend such a conference. Almost as if the attendance numbers in Toronto were falsified by a notable amount.
