View Full Version : Should We Identify As Human?

I swear sometimes I feel like an alien inhabiting a human body, or something like that. Like I don't belong here. A little bit ago I looked in the mirror and said, "That's not me." I have felt for a while that I am not human; I just inhabit a human body. What I am defies definition, because it cannot be described in words. Who am I is not the right question anymore, because who implies character traits of a person. A question which will lead to a more accurate answer is what am I. Can anybody relate? I guess I just hesitate to identify as human because doing so would seriously neglect the depth and profundity of my existence. I welcome, and would be grateful for, any thoughts related to this.

Before I was contacted by ETs I used to say "I'm like an alien", my personality and values seemed so different to what I saw abundantly on Earth. Got ridiculed for it by a DJ at my old work. lol "HE'S AN ALIEN!!!!!" oh well... I can relate to it though. After so many eye opening experiences it's hard to relate to many humans anymore, a lot of what interests them doesn't interest me at all. I am interested in reality, not fiction nowadays... I think on the net people like myself can find people discerning enough to be a friend. Kind of sucks when you have a filter for your friends that they have to be discerning enough or it wont work. Tends to isolate...

One sequence of thoughts ETs guided me through:

My thought: I want to explore alien worlds
Their seeded thought: You are ON an alien world. You do not know much even about this planet. Start here :)

This was some years ago. Ever since I've been more interested in the details of earth. Different cultures are pretty alien to each other too. Studying them is interesting too. This can be edited and said to this thought: "I want to explore the happenings of the universe", taking it into Earthly capabilities, studying history is details of the universe(if you can find accurate history anyway). Studying earth was the message...

Anyway, ya i can relate, I feel like an alien sometimes.

Well, I feel sometimes, and especially as a child, that "I'm not from around here, and you guys (the masses of humanity) are crazy!" ... hehe, but I am here now, so time to get on with the show I guess ... ;) ;)

I felt the same in Toronto.

Just kidding.
-
But I knew for a fact I was not from around here when i lived in Mexico or Turkey - until I passed through the cultural shock.
However, people would sometimes inadvertendly, remind me I was not from there.

As for the planet, as soon as one is above average in intelligence or emotional intelligence, it feels like not being from this planet. Yet, here we are, made of flesh and blood coming from the earth, literally. Our body is from here, even if there were some genetic tweek to it. Our soul is from everywhere, the all, attached to our planet somehow.

I am human!

My soul is human!

I am of the Earth!

Where are my origins from???

Do I feel like an alien sometimes? Yes!!!

I soooooooooooooooooooooo agree with Flash!

If you are above average intelligence, you will be made to feel alien.

But the more alien you feel, the more your need to stay right here on Earth.

This planet is in profound trouble. The inhabitants of this planet are in profound trouble.

While you and I cannot rescue the entirety of the planet, we must do what we can to awaken those around us.

You are young! I think you'll soon realize you have a purpose, a mission, and there's much work to be done right here on planet Earth.

When you realize how different you are, you must also understand your path will probably be difficult as you will not be able to relate to many people out there and they won't be able to relate to you.

Good luck!

For whatever it's worth, you're not alone!

With love,

Daughter of Time

I am of the earth, a child of the earth, a human originating on this planet, not a distant star, not a distant galaxy, not a star child sent here to assist the earthlings, but one of those earthlings. I'm not saying star children don't exist, just that I'm not one of them.

When I look into the mirror, I see a body which I occupy and a soul looking back from the eyes.

As to the question, in this time and age I do feel like an alien and I know that there are many who can relate to that feeling.

The enlightened say that what you are is beyond description.
One without a second is one pointer.
Identification with anything, is what, keeps One in ignorance.
You are not your thoughts or traits---anything that comes and goes can not be you ---that obviously includes the body.
You are eternal and unchanging, timeless.
However until this is your reality---be as you are.
Some one has to be---smiling

Identify as Human

But redefine what you think that is

The potential of a Human is so vast
You are a node point in the infinite consciousness flow
that is capable,if desired,of operating in such limitation, that it thinks it is an island

What a grand choice!
Thanks for it!

Did it ever occur to people that "don't feel like they belong here" because HERE is twisted, messed up, run by retards, NOT AT ALL HOW ITS SUPPOSED TO BE.......?

We are NOT LIVING AS DESIGNED.....perhaps that is the "outta sorts" that is felt.....because I PROMISE YOU IF THIS PLANET WAS RUN CONSTRUCTIVELY, LOVINGLY, PRODUCTIVELY THE WAY IT WAS DESIGNED....YOU WOULD FEEL VERY MUCH AT HOME-----you wouldn't recognize the place! It has PARADISE POTENTIAL ON EVERY SQUARE INCH OF THIS SPACE.....IT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO TAKE CARE OF ALL NEEDS....and then some!

YOU KNOW THIS SPACE IS NOT RIGHT.....whether you are from here or not!

Thank you Chris (and others), I find it such a fascinating phenomenon: the same people that claim their souls are eternal and they’re reincarnated are the same that are so attached to some other place (or their victimhood of being “stuck here”) that they can’t see how insane the concept is.

“Star children”, a question: What did you consider yourselves BEFORE your planet existed? Or did YOUR planet always exist? Or you not exist until your “home planet” did?

Was it your first 3d incarnation that you are identifying with? In all your lifetimes, the ones on nice planets you got to be “who you are”, but this time you got ripped off? Your “bad lives” don’t count (and you include this one as one of those), so they are not “you”?

I don’t get it…can someone help me reconcile these ideas? How is the whole star children concept not just empowering victim mentality (and denying reality)?

To answer the title of the thread: yes, you should identify "as Human", assuming you are one.

If you can believe this definition of Source/God/non duality/enlightenment " One without a second" then all questions are answered.

Maya, the illusion, is that there are separate individuals, that's called duality.
The ego perpetrates this and loves the idea of being special. "I am unique and therefore special"
You can put any "I am a" any self identity to full fill that concept.

Maya is the dream.

In a dream anything can happen with resulting body reactions---it seems so real and then there is the awakening.

Enlightenment is also called Self realisation---what we are, the real Self is directly realised to be the Truth.

It is valid to feel we don't belong here, or more accurately, we feel that what we experience in this world does not seem to fit with what deep down we feel ourselves to be. That can be enough to instigate the spiritual search, the famous question "What am I?"
If you want to believe that you are the seventh son of the seventh son that's fine ---its as good a dream as any and very real in this world.
What we experience here seems very real and its supposed to feel that way.
At some point in time its not enough and an urge begins to find your True nature, enlightenment beckons.
Non-duality is literally---none other.

That makes sense CD7. Maybe it's not me that's backwards, but most of the world. I mean, our societies are run by control and manipulation. We (in the U.S.) vote for one party another, both of which answer to the same boss ($$). People have 15 Ferraris while children starve to death. I just don't know if this is the way God intended it to be. Maybe I just feel spiritually alienated by all the sadness I see throughout the world, which is why this place does not feel like home. There are good things that happen, but the control and manipulation are evil and filthy; there is too much of it. Your words make a lot of sense; thank you.
