Hi all,

Quote by biologist E. O. Wilson:

‘We are drowning in information, while starving for wisdom. The world henceforth will be run by synthesizers, people able to put together the right information at the right time, think critically about it and make important choices wisely.’

I hope your weekend is going well. Not spending too much time in front of a PC. Just something i created for it if you are looking for something to invest some time in. It is out there for those pattern recognition'ers who see through the reality in which we find ourselves in. Some suggestions offered on how to operate with that perceptive ability also. Those who may yet to have recognised they have it within them, perhaps a catalyst to add it as a tool in the observer toolkit. Many here are from what i see.

The tough part will be hearing their voices through the noise.

Noise is rampant in modern urban life largely by design. You can think of full-spectrum noise as existing across all these different senses and harmonic ranges, there is the noise you hear but there is also all the unpleasant sensations (exposure to chemicals from manufacturing techniques), the large amount of cellular and other waves passing through your body, temporal noise from accelerating culture leaving no time to catch breath.

These things combined make it very hard for people to pause themselves for a moment and hear a smaller voice lost in the mix that is synthesizing something that is, for example, a steadfast path of hope in what is an imposition of a combination of real and designed illusory dystopian energy.

The other big effort right now is to push everyone into a highly automated state where you could try talking directly to them and they wouldn't even hear you. If it wasn't something from within the increasingly limited range of what they'd expect to hear from you, it's like you didn't even say it. Like you didn't say anything at all.

And finally there is the design of a sense of general mistrust of outsiders, unusual behaviors, anything that deviates from the pack's way of doing things. You can find this everywhere you look.

Synthesizers will have their work cut out for them, but once a few who are really listening and looking out for something or someone bringing a new angle to this whole mess take notice, then all the additional translations and jists of what that synthesizer is really trying to get at, will help them to build up a momentum.

We are not too far gone yet. The synthesizers can bring the trends into the right direction over the next few years. This is a pertinent thread.
