Hello,
In order to help people understand why humanity is in the condition that it is, I thought that it would be helpful to explain consciousness and mind-control using Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings as an allegory.
The consciousness of humans is illustrated with the sacred pentagram (http://www.angelfire.com/id/robpurvis/pentagram.html), with each element being the essence of a particular aspect of our consciousness. In order for a person to be fully balanced, all five elements need to be acting in cohesion with one another.

Frodo represents the R-complex, otherwise known as the Reptile brain. The R-complex is responsible for our behaviors such as: survival instinct, direct stimulus-response, fight-or-flight response, mate-selection, competition, aggression, domination, repetition, ritual, and the desire to hoard resources.
Limbic System (Samwise)
Samwise represents the Limbic Sytem, otherwise known as the Mammalian brain. The Limbic System regulates our emotions, which allows us to feel empathy, sadness, joy, and other emotive qualities.

Neocortex (Merry)
Merry represents the left-hemisphere of our Neocortex, otherwise known as the Human brain. The left-hemisphere is responsible for our expression of analytical thought, verbal and written communication, logic, reason, mathematics, and science.

Pippin represents the right-hemisphere of our Neocortex, otherwise known as the Human brain. The right-hemisphere is responsible for our expression of intuition, empathy, creative expression, art, music, and holistic thought.

Normally, the Human brain is supposed to be the executive command center of the brain, which keeps every aspect of our consciousness working in perfect Harmony. When the brain becomes imbalanced, either the R-complex or the Limbic System take over as the executive command center of the brain, causing a massive shift in human behavior. The R-complex makes a person left-brain dominant, and the Limbic System makes a person right-brain dominant.
This brain imbalance is represented by the character Smeagol, who after being corrupted by the ring, has a personality shift that turns into the character Gollum. It is important to note that Smeagol was once a Hobbit, but turned into Gollum after being corrupted by the ring (ego):

Smeagol
Smeagol represents what happens to a person when they become right-brain dominant. They tend to fall into a state of Victim Consciousness, and exhibit behaviors such as nervousness, paranoia, lack of self worth, submission, guilt, fear, masochism, depression, and even suicidal tendencies.
Gollum
Gollum represents what happens to a person when they become left-brain dominant. They tend to fall into a state of Dominator Consciousness, and exhibit behaviors such as domination, obsession, greed, hoarding, incessant desire to control, compulsive tendencies, total lack of concern for others, aggression, sadism, and unprovoked violence.

Mind-control
There are two main types of mind-control that Dark Occultists use, which have been proven to be effective on humanity. The Global Controllers know how human consciousness works, and their main goal on this planet is to separate our consciousness so we cannot think holistically and therefore understand the difference between moral and immoral behavior.
1.) The first type of Mind-control is attacking the "spirit" part of our sacred pentagram. They do this by warping our perceptions and introducing Satanic ideology within the whole society to get people to focus on their egos and disregard morality and the welfare of others.
According to Mark Passio (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXSmZsYDxsY), an ex-Satanic priest, the four main tenets of Satanism are:
Self-preservation: Whatever it takes to ensure the survival of the self at the expense of others shall be the number one goal of the individual. Survival-of-the-fittest is inherent in human nature and those who are the fittest shall deserve the right to join the higher echelons of the hierarchy of human society.
Moral Relativism: There is no such thing as right or wrong, and morality can be defined by each individual according to his or her preferences. Every individual should do whatever they want as long as it advances their own interests.
Social Darwinism: Those individuals who are the most fit within society deserve to be in positions of influence and power with the direct aid of others who are also the fittest. Those who do not have the fittest genetics or will to advance deserve to be stuck in the lower classes of society.
Eugenics: Because those individuals who have superior genetics and are the most fit within society have the influence and will to reach the highest levels of society, they shall deserve the inherent right to decide how the total genetics of the human population should be managed.
***Most humans on this planet have fallen under the influence of Satanic ideology, thus, corrupting the "spirit" section of the sacred pentagram and creating the survival-of-the-fittest, scarcity-based paradigm that we see today.
2.) The second type of Mind-control is attacking the "Fire," "Water," "Earth," and "Air" elements both physically and through Chaos Sorcery.
Physically, Dark Occultists scorch the land with weapons through acts of war (Fire), poison the water supply with fluoride and oil spills (Water), destroy entire forests with logging and other acts (Earth), and poison our skies with the use of Chem-trails (Air).
***These physical acts influence our sub-consciousness, because we are made up of the Earth. Therefore, when they poison the Earth, they are still poisoning our own minds and influencing our behavior.

What I write below comes from personal knowledge about Mind-control from my personal mingling with Occultists. I do not have references to back up this information, so I leave it up to you to decide whether or not you wish to believe it:
In order to create a mental schism and cause people to either be left-brain dominant (Gollum, Reptilian Dominator consciousness) or right-brain dominant (Smeagol, Mammalian Victim consciousness), the Dark Occultists also use drugs to cause the brain to become imbalanced.
Alcohol is a form of Mind-control that all Dark Occultists know about, and they deliberately make it legal and widespread so people become brain-damaged. Alcohol, when consumed in large quantities, changes human DNA and makes that person more susceptible to suggestion and addiction. When a person's DNA becomes changed from excessive drinking of alcohol, they pass on that warped DNA to their children.
When this child is born with warped DNA, they are many times more likely that other children to become addicted to alcohol, because it is already programmed into their DNA. Usually the right amount of trauma causes a trigger for the alcohol-laced DNA to activate receptors in the brain to be drawn to alcoholic substances. When this person drinks their first drop of alcohol, it creates the spark that ultimately leads to their downfall of addiction.
When people become addicted to alcohol, their brain becomes so out-of-whack that their brain chemistry literally changes the more they drink. When they drink, their Human brain shuts down, and they fall into a constant fluctuation between their Reptile brain and Mammalian brain. This leads to behaviors of extreme abuse and dominaion being followed by behaviors of emotional instability and victimization.
Alcohol functions much like the fungus Ophiocordyceps unilateralis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophiocordyceps_unilateralis), which works its way into an ant's brain, zombifies it, and forces the ant to crawl to the top of a tall piece of grass. Once on the blade of grass, the fungus kills the ant and spread its spores over the forest floor.
Alcohol also opens up channels for negative entities to influence the person under the influence. What some people call Demons or Jinn are attracted to the low vibration that people become when inebriated, and are also responsible for extreme shifts in behavior. Entity attachments are common with alcoholics, and alcohol literally acts as a Spiritual Parasite.
This often leads to Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), which is represented by the continual fluctuation in personality of both Smeagol AND Gollum. In other words, while most people in society either embody the qualities of the character Smeagol or the character Gollum, alcoholics embody BOTH Smeagol and Gollum at the same time with extreme instability.

The ultimate goal of all humans is to destroy the ring (ego), which is an individual path that we all must tackle ourselves. To destroy the ring, we must make our way to the fires of Mount Doom (OUR MINDS) and destroy our ego to regain balance in our brain by understanding morality and by aligning our thoughts, emotions, and actions in Balance and Harmony. We must recognize and practice the Non-aggression Principle as our Feminine aspect by not harming other sentient beings.
