So I received a private message from someone ( I won't say who, but you know who you are, a female) accusing me of having a new identity.
So apparently there must be some kind of gossip accusing me of having a new identity. Well, I don't. I am still Sidney, and for personal reasons I have chosen to not post for a while.
While I have received friendly messages from friends who have genuine concern for my well being (Love and thanks to those of you), I am publicly reassuring anyone who thinks I am posting here in disguise. Simply put, it AINT me.

I am ill, and there is too much chaos and drama in the forums and I simply choose to be silent. I am sure the staff here can very easily find out where someone is posting from, so if anyone has any suspicions, well its not rocket science finding an IP.

Now, back to my nap.:lazy::lazy::lazy:

It's not the very best joke... it's a sensitive subject sometimes when someone's been falsely accused of a deception.

(And multiple accounts — known as 'sockpuppets' — are a dishonest deception: in theory, the right hand could be talking up a storm with their left hand, all on one thread, with no-one else participating, all with the illusion of debate and agreement when in fact there's no-one else in the room. That'd be deception. :) )

we would definitely be interested in sending prayers/etc and going easy when arguments are had (i.e. my recent disagreement in channeling section with a member who had cancer -- i had no idea about the cancer!! these things can be useful to know when we are all interacting)

when stress runs high our interpretation of nuance and humor can change dramatically!
why even last week CNN was claiming, the human body is so sensitive that even things like Tylenol can disrupt our emotional processes.
imagine what modern humans are exposed to w/ all the radiation, noise, light, crowding, poisoning, etc.

I'd like to announce the solution to this little mystery.

I've just been contacted by a member (and Sidney, I've just PMed you) who was a little upset about this simple misunderstanding, because she had simply replied to congratulate you on your 'new identity' (your own words) after you had written — quite a long time ago!
I have given myself a new name and a new avatar (still tossing around avatar ideas), to start a new chapter in my life.

This member had just returned to the forum after a long break, and was reading all her old PMs... from really quite a while back. It looks like you had clean forgotten (and this is understandable!) what you had announced to a number of people about your new choice of username at that time.

(I'm combing my own memory, and Paul will be able to dig up more details from the records, but I think this that username change was maybe a couple of years ago or more.)

Case closed. I'm delighted this is all resolved. :)

I did look up his cancer thread and saw that you thanked it on March 17, 2013 (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?57042-From-my-heart-to-yours-a-request-to-help-a-member-given-6-months-to-live..&p=649847&viewfull=1#post649847). I surmised much had gone on in your life that you forgot. Cancer or not, like a carpenter friend of mine says, "measure twice, cut once" is a good rule of thumb in most cases.

Ok, wow, am I embarrassed!!!! I created a new identity way back sometime in 2013 and mailed everyone on my friends list a little note letting them know about it, as I had a good reason to not make a public statement. This was a different identity I had briefly before I became Sidney. I had completely forgotten about it, needless to say a LOT has gone on in the last 2 years, and several months ago when I backed off of my participation here there was some drama going on on not just this forum but other forums as well, so of course having the suspicious mind that i do, I thought the note was an accusation or sorts. Anyway, to the author of that message, I owe you a huge public apology even though your name has not been disclosed, from the bottom of my heart I'm sorry for the misunderstanding( but two years? LOLOL). And to everyone else, I am sorry for this. And MODS, perhaps we can close the thread and either delete it or put it in a nice dark storage locker, along with my forgotten identity.:drum::peep:
