For more than a year the encounter that took place at the Mena House Hotel, Giza Egypt, on 22 April 2015 between famed Egyptologist Dr Zahi Hawass and controversial alternative historian Graham Hancock, had been billed as"the first open debate between the representatives of two completely different versions of history." On the night of the event, however, as Graham Hancock was focussing his slides prior to giving his opening presentation, and before most of the audience had even entered the room, Dr Hawass saw that one slide contained a photograph of Hancock’s colleague Robert Bauval, originator of the Orion correlation theory with whom Dr Hawass has had disagreements for many years. Dr Hawass immediately became furiously angry and began to shout at Hancock and at Hancock’s wife Santha (Santha is wearing the white dress in the video). Hawass demanded that Hancock censor his talk to remove all references to Robert Bauval and the Orion correlation theory. When Hancock explained that the alternative view of history that he was on stage to represent could not exclude the Orion correlation and therefore could not exclude Robert Bauval, Dr Hawass, again shouting, marched out of the debating room. One member of the audience who was present managed to record part of Dr Hawass’s meltdown which is the subject of this video.
Meanwhile, as the audience began to arrive, frantic negotiations took place off stage between the conference organisers and Dr Hawass. Finally Dr Hawass agreed to return and give his talk and answer questions from the audience, but he refused absolutely to hear or see Hancock’s talk, or to engage in any debate with Hancock. Hancock therefore gave his talk to the audience without Dr Hawass present (Dr Hawass sat in a room outside the conference hall while Hancock spoke). When Hancock had finished he answered questions from the audience. Then Dr Hawass entered, gave his talk, answered questions from the audience and left. During Dr Hawass’s Q&A he was asked a question about the 11,600-year-old megalithic site of Gobekli Tepe in Turkey and whether it had any impact on his assessment of the disputed age of the megalithic Great Sphinx of Giza (which Hancock and others have theorised may be of similar antiquity). Unfortunately it appeared that Dr Hawass was completely ignorant of the existence or implications of Gobekli Tepe so he was unable to answer the question, which he passed on to the moderator who also happened to be an Egyptologist and whose knowledge of Gobekli Tepe was also clearly incomplete (for example the moderator stated that Gobekli Tepe dates from the “late eleventh millennium BC through the tenth millennium BC” whereas in fact the dates presently established for Gobekli Tepe are from 9600 BC through 8200 BC, i.e. from 11,600 years ago to 10,200 years ago). Hancock did at that point have a brief opportunity to stand up and give his own point of view on Gobekli Tepe and on its implications for the age of the Sphinx, and we will post that exchange shortly.

What a big baby.. I wonder, who still has any respect for hawass? He's the crook IMHO. It can't have been much fun for Handcock, but the more hawass behaves like this, the faster his demise, so I for one encourage him to continue to lose his cool and look like a fool... N

This is quite an amusing account by Robert to explain the confusion about a minor
event blown out of all proportion by Zahi Hawass and some Egyption press. Robert
says he wants Zahi to retract his accusations and apologise on bended knees..LOL
Basically he was trying to cause a scandal to remove the current minister of
antiquities to regain power.....
It did not go well...LOL

Red Ice Radio - Robert Bauval - Zahi Hawass' Khufu Cartouche Heist Claims Against Robert Bauval
3Bmfmy8Uf28
Published on 11 Jan 2014
Robert Bauval was born in Alexandria, Egypt to Belgian parents. He is a researcher of
ancient Egypt and a bestselling author, probably best known for his Orion Correlation
Theory. His research has been featured in documentaries throughout the world. He
returns to discuss lies and accusations made about him by Zahi Hawass, which were
published in the newspaper 'Al Masry Al Yom'. Dr Zahi Hawass, ex Minister of State for
Antiquities, revealed that "the robberies of King Khufu's cartouche was done on behalf
of, Robert Bauval, an Egyptian Jew working in Belgium, who has been trying by every
means to prove that the pyramid is a Jewish and not Egyptian product." Hawass claimed
that Robert collaborated and paid two German amateur archaeologists to steal the
cartouche of the pharaoh Khufu inside a relief chamber of the Great Pyramid. He added:
"I would like to make it clear that the foreign vandals are led by an Egyptian Jew living in
Belgium, who had previously sent more than one person, who were all forbidden completely,
and with whom I have had many battles, and he wrote a book before trying to prove that
the pyramid was not Egyptian." Hawass confirmed that "it was not permitted to enter the
pyramid except through tourist companies in order to make control, which is the opposite
of what is happing now; which allowed the samples to be smuggled." Robert, who is of the
Christian Catholic faith, will address these false accusations.

And this shows one more time that Zahi Hawass is a Gatekeeper his main goal is to protect the official story by any means, everthing that can hurt the big lie will not be supported by Hawass.
I have a great respect for Graham Hancock for even talking to Hawass, after all Hawass did in the last 15 years.
Hawass is a puppet that only looks good if filmed by TPTB owned productions like discovery channel etc because they allways ask the right questions and even more important they never question mr hawass.

THE INDEPENDENT....
US investigates National Geographic over ‘corrupt payments’ to Egypt's keeper of antiquities
David Usborne Author Biography
New York
Monday 28 October 2013
http://www.independent.co.uk/incoming/article8909465.ece/alternates/w620/29_Zahi_Hawass.AFPGetty.jpg
National Geographic may be facing an unexpected challenge to its reputation as one of the world’s
most respected educational and scientific institutions amid reports that it is under investigation in
the United States over its ties to a former Egyptian official who for years held the keys to his
country’s many popular antiquities.
At issue is whether the Washington-based organisation, which in recent years has rapidly extended
its public reach beyond its well-known glossy magazine to a cable television channel and other
enterprises, violated strict US laws on payments to officials of foreign governments in contracts
starting in 2001 with Dr Zahi Hawass, who, until the overthrow of President Hosni Mubarak, was
the government’s sole gatekeeper to all things ancient Egypt.
For a decade, Dr Hawass seemingly played a critical role in giving National Geographic constant
access to the antiquities, including the pyramids and Tutankhamun treasures which because of
their popularity with the public became a lynchpin of its expansion. Fees for those services, which
according to the Vocativ news web site ranged from $80,000 (£50,000) to $200,000 a year, could
be interpreted under US law as illegal bribes.
The Justice Department declined to confirm the investigation. “As a matter of long-standing policy,
we generally do not confirm nor deny whether a matter is under investigation,” Peter Carr, a
spokesman with the Justice Department Criminal Division, told The Independent.
In a separate statement, a spokesperson for the National Geographic, said: “The National Geographic
Society has complied with all applicable laws and acted appropriately with respect to its relationship
with Dr Zahi Hawass and the government of Egypt.”
Dr Hawass was likewise indignant. “No one can bribe me,” he told Vocativ. “I’m the most famous Egyptologist.”
Dr Hawass, who lost his perch as protector of his country’s ancient treasures after the first Egyptian
uprising and fall of Mubarak, signed successive deals with National Geographic that named him an
“explorer-in-residence”. The deal gradually made him a celebrity with armchair archaeology fans in
America and wherever National Geographic TV is shown.
“When I became an ‘explorer’, I signed a contract to write books and make lectures,” he insisted.
“Based on the law, if you sign a contract to write books and make lectures, you have to get the
government’s approval, and I did!” He added: “It was a contract. It was not a bribe. I gave no
single favour to National Geographic.”
Any US investigation will be focused less on any possible wrongdoing by him but rather by National
Geographic, a charity that first began publishing its magazine with the familiar yellow borders in 1888,
with particular reference to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act which forbids US entities from paying
bribes to foreign government to gain an unfair competitive advantage.
Companies targeted by the act recently have included WalMart, accused of paying illegal fees to officials
in Mexico to speed the approval of building permits for its superstores.
The institution insists nothing was underhand in its dealings with Dr Hawass. “If there were requests
made by governmental entities about our activities, we would co-operate fully and transparently,”
a spokesperson told Vocativ.

yeah , and the same people want to come in and teach us on the origin and true meaning of our own culture ..
and the world is getting out of hands . And you are payed to keep your mouth shut which saves lives of another few thousand people .. so all you can do to fix it is to yell at Graham Hancock .

David Wilcock has a series on Gaiam TV that covers a lot of this stuff. His guests include Graham Hancock, Robert Bauval, John Anthony West, Andrew Collins, and Laird Scranton. You can see the topics at http://www.disclosuretruth.com. They go into great detail on all the Egypt info (including the history of Zawi Hawass), Gogeki Tepi, the Dogon group in Africa, and a lot more. I know that there are some folks in Avalon who hate David's guts, but IMHO this show is outstanding! It is David doing what David does best!
I just remembered today is Thursday when the newest show is released. Guess who the guest is? Graham Hancock! Going to watch! See ya later!

Dr. Semir Osmanagich may appear to be friends with Zahi Hawass, but Dr Sam (as we call him in Houston) has told me how Hawass has taken every opportunity to prevent the exploration of the Bosnian pyramid discovered by Dr Sam. Dr. Osmanagich is an extremely enlightened individual as far as I have witnessed, and I doubt that he would be unfriendly to anyone, while Hawass is infamous for his ego and competetiveness. Love Graham Hancocks stuff. The Egyptians didn't build the Great Pyramids on the Giza Plateau. They tried to copy these great structures with smaller versions and those versions didn't last as long and you can travel throughout the country and see this. Whats in the history books is a big fat lie and Mr. Hawass will do all he can to protect what he thinks is the truth. Humanity has been lied to for such a long time and when we dig for the answers and find structures such as Gobekli Tepe we question what we been told and when we keep digging and find other evidence of past civilizations we question more and people such as Mr Hawass freak out. Keep digging because the truth is all around us on this planet and it only takes ignorant people to not see past these ancient wonders from corruption and or power of being bribed or bought off to be silent.
Mr Hawass I hate to break to you man but there are pyramids everywhere on the planet and their are many ancient sites that would make you go wow. Heck there are even Pyramids in Antarctica
Civilizations have come and gone on this planet and the ignorance just gives me a headache.

Graham hancock is fantastic ive watched and listened to many of his interviews..he really pulls out all the stops with his evidence of human pre-history... But this hawass character ...he is looked after by the smithsonian institute..twisting the facts about the giza plateau...the great pyramid being a tomb etc....keeping the masses in the dark about the artifacts and truth of the giza plateau...this man's ego is off the chart...robert beauval spoke of the real mr hawass during numerous interviews ( capricorn radio ) very nasty piece of work apparently...but going back to mr hancock and his studies / theories this stuff should be more mainstream and optional for educational study because he gives you a real sense of.. Connection to our rich and glorious past....thankyou .....

What were the ancients trying to tell us when they built the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx ?
If Robert Bauval, author of 2004: Talisman: Sacred Cities, Secret Faith (with Graham Hancock).
2006: The Egypt Code, 2010: The Master Game (with Graham Hancock) 2011: Black Genesis:
The Prehistoric Origins of Ancient Egypt (with Thomas Brophy) 2012: Breaking the Mirror of
Heaven (with Ahmed Osman) 2013: Imhotep in Africa : Architect of the Cosmos (with Thomas
Brophy) 2014: The Vatican Heresy: Bernini and the building of the Hermetic Temple of the Sun
(with Chiara Hohenzollern) 2014: Egypt Unveiled: The Quest for Maat (with Ahmed Osman), is
right, we might be on the verge of finding out. Bauval presents on the astronomical significance
of these structures. Bauval is both fascinating and wildly funny as he takes jab after well-deserved
jab at the Egyptological establishment, which ignores his work and that of coauthor Graham
Hancock. You'll learn of the importance of the constellation Orion and other celestial formations to
the Egyptians as well as the other postulated highly advanced culture that came before them and
left their legacy in these enormous monuments. The data Bauval presents seems striking.
Robert Bauval was born in Egypt in 1948. In 1989 he published a study which proposed that the
layout of the three Giza Pyramids and their relative position to the Nile was intended to mirror the
layout of the three stars in Orion's belt and their relative position to the Milky Way. This thesis,
now known as the 'Orion Correlation Theory', became the subject of his first book, The Orion
Mystery. Bauval is presently working on a new book, Sirius Rising, which will track the influence
of the Egyptian star-goddess Sopdet (Sirius) from prehistoric times to the early Christian era,
with special focus on her role in the rebirth cult and temple rituals and alignments.

The latest on Egyptian pyramids ..
http://ewao.com/a/1-researchers-discover-what-was-located-on-top-of-the-great-pyramid
Researchers discover what was located on top of the Great Pyramid
The investigations of renowned Spanish architect Miguel Pérez-Sánchez that lasted over ten years, enabled him to rebuild via computer models, with great accuracy, the pyramid of Cheops and determine that it was "crowned" by a sphere of 2 meters in diameter.
Pérez Sánchez announced his discovery in a publication of a book containing his doctoral thesis where he explained: "the pyramid of Cheops, according to analysis, shows that it was an encyclopedia of knowledge at that time."
The Great Pyramid, the most important building of the Old Kingdom, was the first of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World and it is the only one that remains standing today, devoid of its original coating blocks of white limestone and lacking its summit which gave the pyramid another 9 meters in height. Now researchers know the exact shape of the object placed on top of the pyramid.
The sphere located at the top of the pyramid, as proposed by Pérez-Sánchez, symbolized the Eye of Horus and had a diameter of 2,718 royal cubits (2.7 meters), which is the accurate measure of the number e.
The sphere located on the Pyramid was proportionate with the Sun and Sirius, the brightest star in the sky, which was associated with Isis.
Pérez-Sánchez had the support of a multidisciplinary team in his investigation, which allowed them to draw the pyramid on computer with an accuracy of 4 decimals (3.1416) representing "100 times the usual precision in architecture".
The three-dimensional drawing of the Great Pyramid has revealed its original measurements, analyzing it has allowed researchers to understand the historical significance of the monument. In addition of the sphere located on top of the pyramid, missing today, analysis enabled researchers to find out the inclination angle 51,84º, the platform that supported the sphere with a pi perimeter of royal cubits; and the height of the pyramidal vertex of 277 778 cubits, equal to the quotient of dividing 1,000,000 between 3,600. According to Pérez-Sánchez, the discovery of the original shape and dimensions of the Great Pyramid, its reconstruction and analysis has revealed an architecture made of pure mathematics, geometry, geodesy and astronomy.
The original surface of the pyramid, now in ruins, was 100,000 times the number pi (π) 3000 years ahead of the understanding of π.
The ancient Egyptians that planned the Pyramid had an incredible scientific knowledge, understanding the Pythagorean Theorem two millennia ahead of time, a precision in the definition of pi with 6 decimals 3 millennia ahead of its time, including the knowledge of the number e, and the accurate measures of the Earth, Sun and Sirius anticipated over 4 millennia.
The geodesic dependence of the Great Pyramid has been confirmed by scaling relations based on the sexagesimal system: The planetary meridian can be obtained as 43,200 times the perimeter of the base in contact with the ground; the polar radius as 43,200 times the total height of the monument, and the average perimeter of the Earth as 21,600 times the total perimeter of the base. "
Thanks to the astronomical data provided by Plutarch, researchers managed to place the incredible monument in its historical context understanding why Pharaoh Khufu had commissioned these incredible projects.
This is believed to be the reason thy, Snefru, father of Khufu, built during his reign, three pyramids in search for the "perfect pyramid" which explains the efforts of the architects of the Pyramid, to include within the Great Pyramid, their knowledge of the past.
More importantly, Pérez-Sánchez mentions the great Sphinx in his work, stating that "the Great Sphinx is not contemporary with the pyramids that surround it, but it is the product of a much earlier civilization that shaped and carved it around the eight millennium BC.

Note the info underlined and in bold letters:
This last episode barely touches on the alleged new discoveries under the pyramids, but is mostly a rehashing of a lot of formerly connected dots having to do with the pyramids, Atlantis, Steiner, Edgar Cayce, etc.
But something new to me, at least, was discussed starting at 49 minutes into the video, where DJ discusses two leading Egyptologists Zahi Hawass and Mark Lehner, who have attempted to discredit everything that Cayce (and several current researchers such as Graham Hancock, Robert Schoch, Robert Bauval, etc. ) have said about the pyramids being much older than current archeology will admit to.
Even though Hawass and Lehner early in their careers were close associates with and were actually beneficiaries of the A.R.E.(Association for Research and Enlightenment) the organization in Virginia Beach, which is all about Cayce' information, and the A.R.E. actually paid for their educations!
I don't know how I missed that very interesting facet, but it adds another element of mystery to the whole scenario.
( I think it's clear that Hawas is a shill, paid to cover up a lot of things the Egyptian government doesn't want known, and to discredit those like Schoch, Foerster, Bauval, Osmanagich (and Hancock too, though he's not an archeologist) who are uncovering the truth.

Zahi is a gatekeeper to make sure all that is found fits into their boxed in view of the way things are nice and neatly. If it doesn't fit into the paradigm they hide it away in some storage shelf in a closet or a basement in a museum never to be seen again! Everything must fit into the pre-established boxed in view of the universe all those of his ilk stand for. They are not about to do away with a career of telling and teaching one thing only to have some new discovery come in and muck up 30 or more years worth of their work and their thesis and all they've taught the students. No way no how, you see? To these people a new discovery is a threat to their paradigm not something to be excited over. You know it's crooked when they have not even broken ground yet and the guy can stand there and tell you in detail what they expect to find, how it will all fit together with the other finds and more and they haven't even stuck a shovel in the ground.
