The Triumph of the Human Spirit

I make these short videos purely for personal pleasure, and in the case of this one, release of tension, catharsis, and hope. Do not like to go on about personal issues, but as many people have noticed, it was a rough week, and many felt the ongoing effects of the war on the human spirit. This is my way of processing all that I experience, and I am sharing it in case anyone else relates, and maybe it will help lift their spirit too.

I chose an old, timeless classic for this video, music which is as applicable today as it was back then in the 1960's, an era I missed out on, but have always been inspired by. The images narrate the story. It starts off in the reality of those who would enslave us, and mid-point switches to the Triumph of the Human Spirit, which always, always prevails.

The most inspiring speech for humanity I have ever heard - in 9 minutes

I am using this thread to post anything inspirational for humanity when I come across it, and will occasionally post some of my own videos now and then. This video, however, brought tears to my eyes, my heart just expanded, and I felt more positive than ever about the power of the human spirit.

I have been following Sacha Stone of New Earth Nation for a while, and his ability to eloquently articulate, with heart and spirit, is in the category of genius. This man could easily become a guru, and already has thousands around the world worshipping him, but he does not encourage that, and always steers his admirers back to themselves to do it for themselves. He is a significant influence, and is inspiring many, many projects that are changing things and having impact.

If you do nothing else today, I urge you to listen to these 9 minutes, which are nothing short of a gift. He manages to say everything that needs to be said in 9 minutes, speaking from heart and soul, and the response from his fellow panelists at the Breakthrough Energy conference of 2012 had them leaping to their feet, and the crowd going wild.
